Finding boxes of mangos from Jamaica still in their shipping boxes brought a huge smile to my face. Shelf after shelf of useful ingredients, delightful smells, and treats both sweet and savoury. There's a few coolers along the walls, but as it was a scorching hot YEG day and me with a black backpack, I didn't inspect as well as I might've. Sorry. Next time. There *will* be a next time, certainly, because my YEG kitchen is missing pickled veggies (which are generally a condiment but find their way into my cooking in ways as varied as Indian spiced burgers and eggs with a bit of the oil from the container). Had a family member picked the cake the next day. When we opened the box few hours after dinner. Cake order was the wrong cake and wrong size. We ordered a 8inch and got 6inch. I called the store spoken to female staff in bakery dept. I told her the issue and she advise me that the other customer also called to say that they got the wrong cake. You would think that T&T would called me to tell me that I got the wrong cake, but you that NEVER happen. She also had the audacity to asked why I didn't look at the cake. Didn't know that I had too. So, after talking to her for 5 minutes and she said that they had to call back to ask for permission to the return. After all that I did get a call same today saying that they would refund the money back. But with NO apology.

Parking isn't too hard to find around here either. Some items have Asian writing, but there's always fine print in English behind the product or on the shelf. Prices are decent and there's odd flavours for munchies like honey butter bugles, pizza crackers, prawn chips...odd but also can't get enough of after eating. They also have a little selection of baked goods and variety on things like matcha teas or corn tea. It's given me a lot of ideas for making ramens and hot pots with their heat & eat add-ons in the freezer section. Some fruit produce can also be bought in boxed bulk like apples or jeju oranges... honestly not a bad price for the size & quality of what you're getting. There's only 2 cashiers, but I didn't have to wait long when I was ready to pay. I'm glad there's a New Asian grocer option & will definitely be back!
