Chicken Wrap

Come through, 99! This was my first time at this place and i gotta say it was a great experience. Our potato skins (we ordered without bacon) were done to perfection! The lobster roll? It was delicious and don't even get me started with that generous portion! The staff was friendly and very attentive. I also love that their online menu has pics of each dish.

A passion to serve The first Ninety Nine Restaurant was started in 1952 and there are now over a hundred of them throughout the North East. Their mission state is A Passion to Serve. Our waitress was very nice, pleasant and friendly and although a passion to serve might be a bit of hyperbole perhaps, she did seem to enjoy her job, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. To be honest the food at Ninety Nine Restaurant is a lot like what is available at a whole heap of other restaurants of this type. Good food but with a limited menu and nothing that is really going to get your attention. The prices are quite reasonable and pretty much what you would expect. The restaurant was very clean and had a rather odd but pleasant decor. At least the tables aren't all smushed together and you have room to spread out a bit. We don't go to Ninety Nine Restaurants very often because there always seems to be something around that we would rather have. But it certainly is a pleasant, clean and reasonably priced place for some decent food and friendly and attentive, if not passionate, service.

Vegan review: Let me preface this by saying that, I know that The 99 isn't really for vegans. That being said, this is 2016, and vegan is a huge food trend. I was impressed with the vegetarian options in the menu, however most of them seem to be based on the black bean burger patty and cheese. I asked our wonderful waitress, Stephanie, if she knew which options where were vegan. She told me she wasn't 100% sure and grabbed a manager. An assist manager came and told me, the whole "vegetarian menu" was for vegans. (I accidentally laughed out, that's like saying a Snickers bar is for someone with a peanut allergy.) I asked if she could check with the kitchen, she was nice about it consulted the allergy menu. When she came back she told me only the salads with no cheese would be vegan. In 2016, your only vegan option is a salad?!?! Pretty lame 99! Had this been 2006, maybe, but really? So I sat there eating my 'salad with hummus' while my friends drove into carb heaven. If this review only took into consideration the menu it would be a one star review. What save them was a helpful and friendly staff, especially Stephanie, and a very clean restaurant. I don't know I will back of my own choice, especially given that there are many places in the area with much better vegan options.

I went with a gf on a busy Friday night with no reservations. Still was seated within 5mins of arrival by a friendly host. Our waitress was on her A Game and helped us identify and order drinks we were looking for that were not on the menu. There was an issue with the cooking if my order, the manage came out and was honest in saying the Salmon was dropped. Offered us Salad or soup (we declined) while we waited the extra time for my order to he re-fired and my friend's as well so they'd come out at the same time. Both were excellent. We lingered and drank afterwards for a bit, enjoyed our very rare ladies night out. Definitely go again. Hope we have the same waitress because we canr remember the name of that blue drink!

I've been to this restaurant before and always been perfectly happy with the service. Last week I went in there though and after looking at the menu decided I wanted salmon fish and chips except they don't have that on their menu. They have salmon (grilled or baked I don't remember which) and they have fish and chips but not salmon fish and chips. I talked to our server who talked to the cook and she agreed to try and make it for me but she wasn't sure how well it would turn out. I was just thrilled they'd make me something that wasn't on the menu. It turned out great and I couldn't have been happier. I really appreciated the excellent customer service.

Ok, this place gets stars for the beer flight board and for naming a beer Ishm-ale. Well played,…read morefor sure. Honestly my only issue here was the amount of help there on their phones and sipping on their water bottles. It was a Saturday and I was there during a lull, but I did roll my eyes once or twice. That said, the location is awesome in downtown New Bedford, right by the whaling museum and amazing NHS site. I really did enjoy the flight (even without the clever names or its cool shape), and that cod fish dish was very tasty--nice unique meal for a brewery, in fact. Would I go back? Absolutely.

The vibe is cool, and they serve up some solid food alongside a great craft beer flight. The Food: Pan Seared NBMA Scallops ($24): Served with linguica, summer corn succotash, and harissa aioli. This appetizer was very fresh and exceptionally good. Beet Salad ($15): Whipped goat cheese, roasted beets, blood orange, toasted pistachios, pickled red onion, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic glaze. My wife loved this salad--it was packed with fresh flavors and textures. Lobster Truffle Grilled Cheese ($32): Made with Gruyère cheese, fresh-picked lobster meat, truffle oil, and toasted sourdough. While it tasted good, the truffle flavor was very light, and there wasn't as much lobster as I would expect for a $32 price tag. Ultimately, it was good, but not really worth the price. The Drinks: We also grabbed a four-beer flight, which came on a fun whale-tail paddle with a handy menu card: 1. Raz Sour 2. Blueberry Ale 3. Capsized IPA 4. Colonial Ale Overall, a fun spot with great starters and a cool flight setup. I'd definitely go back for the scallops and drinks, though I might skip the lobster grilled cheese next time.

They are known for their fish and chips, and they certainly deliver! The batter is light and the fish is fresh and cooked perfectly! The French fries are hand cut and delicious as well. Since we went with a group, we ordered a pitcher of beer. Now I probably haven't ordered a pitcher in quite some time, but was beyond impressed with the cooling device attached that kept the last pour as cold as the first. I was quite impressed! The service was equally as amazing as the food, and I definitely can't wait to go back again soon!

No biggie we did not complain. But I have to tell you, the service was horrible.I have never experienced that service before. The bus girl of faith was rude, disrespectful and argumentive. I was absolutely floored.I could not believe that a young lady like that could speak to customers the way she did. I probably will not go back there due to the service that I received today. I was horrified that a young lady liked. That is even allowed to speak to customers the way she did. There was no management around this evening. The restaurant was dead, three tables and three people at the bar. The waitress was kind and she apologized, but the way we were treated by the bus girl was very disturbing.
