I used to Love Big Lots when they first started coming around. This location is in the old Motor…read morevehicles building in east brunswick. It is HUGE! I've been to many locations thru the years. They've really changed their products and obviously their prices. They added furniture in the last 10 yrs and upped their patio furniture also. The one thing I liked about Big Lots was their prices and their ability to have odd ball and weird stuff. Now it seems they are competing with other stores. Their prices are higher than Walmart. They took out the arts and craft sections for kids. I think it was a better store when it was a Mish mosh of random stuff for less. Now it's just like any other store. They do have cute and nice things but you can find them cheaper elsewhere. I was really bummed out.

I know that this is a busy location but in certain aisles you had to literally move things around and hunt for items that you didn't know that you needed because the shelves were mixed up. Their clothing section was so randomly placed. There were clothes on the rack a bit mixed up. There were a lot of clothing merchandise that were messy on the shelf or in boxes instead of being neatly placed. It really felt like you were rummaging in a warehouse. This is a very large store and you have to be patient to shop here. Their prices are ok, not the cheapest but it really depends on what you are looking for and what a person considers low price. Would I come here again.... I don't think so.

If you see something you like, just buy it because when the item is gone it's gone. They have all these little departments. Definitely a one stop shop type of place that have clothes, foods (nothing frozen), car supplies, pet supplies, home goods plus more. They carry a great selection of pool supplies at a great price. We got a bunch of salt and a lot of chlorine for the pools. My sister who is a crazy plant person wanted to come here 30% off flower pots and boy did she load up. We had to come here two times to make sure she got everything that she needed. She also has a garden and she picked up different types of seeds to plant now, so that she can have vegetables to harvest in the fall. That was new for me. I bought a couple of name brand bathing suits that they practically gave away. This was my first time here and it was really a fun store to shop in. I love to finding things that I really didn't know that I needed and I did here.

There's a large selection of clothes and home goods like glass cups, plates, and more. There's a small section with office supplies, unused greeting cards, and craft supplies such as yarn. I loved this section as I've never seen any items like this at any other thrift store. I had a great time going through the greeting cards and selecting a few vintages ones for Valentine's Day and upcoming holidays. There was also a small selection of books, electronics, accessories and shoes. There's some kids clothing and toys as well, and some nice pieces of furniture. Everything here was in very good condition, I only saw two clothing items that were used looking and marked "as is," otherwise the condition of the things here was excellent which I really appreciated. There's also four or five dressing rooms with an attendant that never left the clothing section, so there was no waiting around for the fitting room, which was such a big plus for me. The fitting rooms were very clean and bright, similar to a department store. It's very obvious to me that the staff takes a lot of care when selecting items to put on display because of their great condition, unlike the bigger thrift stores that will put anything on the shelves. There was an obvious religious affiliation with this thrift store, such as the music and some decor for sale that mentioned God, but it is easy to ignore if that not your cup of tea! I also found the prices to be very fair, I got a pair of black dress pants for work for $6! I also really liked how there was signage for the prices of the clothing unless the item was otherwise marked, which I didn't find much of. The pants and bottoms are organized by size which I really appreciated. The tops were organized by color and not size, but the selection was not so huge that it made looking for your size a challenge. I also liked that there was a plus size section of clothing, which can be harder to find in thrift stores. Overall, I'd definitely come back to Bridge Life Thrift!

Visited this Goodwill location the other day and found some great tops! Many of the items are name…read morebrand and they have a small section up front called the "boutique" with slightly more expensive items. I tried on a BCBG coat from the "boutique" and it was priced at $24 which I thought was excellent as it was a long style coat. This location has a huge section of clothing and some small bins of shoes on top of the clothing racks. There's also a small home goods section in the back that was popular. The clothing is separated by size which I really love as it makes thrifting so much easier. There was definitely a larger selection of sizes small and medium here and not much of a plus size section. The staff were very friendly as well as the customers. I will definitely return to this location!

I make a lot of beaded bracelets throughout the year and it seems like every time I look for 4mm glass seed beads in a variety of colors, they're sold out. Between the Mets and Knicks, I would think they could keep a decent supply of blue, orange and white beads on hand throughout the baseball and basketball seasons. We are in the NY market with plenty of fans here. Their prices are also on the high side and there's never anyone around to help. I went through the entire store talking to anyone ... even did self check out. I think there's some room for improvement here. I managed to buy some blue and white beads from their hanging necklace section and a small little vial of orange seed beads to get me through making these Knicks playoff and finals bracelets. GO KNICKS!
