I used C-Town for catering our parties. Good is delish and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them!

Is there a correlation between Supremo Food Market and King Street? I went in to find out. Place…read moreis clean and is well stocked. At the time I came, there weren't many people shopping so I was able to get a closer look at the products! Prices are decent and even better when the items are on sale! Then the groceries do not hurt the pocketbook as much! The sales are good here! Good produce section and lots of frozen fruit pulps with exotic fruits of some I have never seen before like Lulo, until I saw the fresh Lulo too at the produce section along with giant cactus pieces and cactus fruit! There was a box of frozen breadfruit which looked like giant cherimoyas! Boxes of tamarind, fresh and dried poblanos could be had here. Lots of Latin products and even green Puerto Rican Sofrito! Household items tend to be more here. If you need a broom, check the various other stores on Smith Street for better prices. I spied Mexican pan as well as lots of cookies, crackers and guava pastes galore! There were pastilles rolled sheets, twine and empanada wrappers! You can get fresh pork rinds at $12.99 a pound as well as other hot prepared foods. At the time I went, there were some hot foods on display! Big fried empanadas too! I hope to come back to check out the Supremo again! I will take the advice of the fellow Yelper and bring cash too! Otherwise, a pleasant find during this trip!

Not only will you see one brand or type of Chorizo, you will see several! Prices here vary! Like all places it depends on what you get! I thought I stepped into the Bronx when I saw 3 boxes of strawberries for $5. That's a really great price, especially in the winter! There is a huge amount of items not seen in other neighborhood supermarkets! The plantains are of better quality and value than what I have seen! There were even pre-weighed bags of green plantains! Lots of root vegetables and fresh, waxy skinned yuca! The supermarket can look busy because there are so many products of which I cannot fault the store for! It's great to see so many things! There is even a shelf for Mexican breads! I have never seen an International section with Peruvian spices! This place is like a gold mine! In the back there is a butcher and coming soon, a place to get hot food! Yeah! They have so many types of imported Latin crackers! I even found star anise! A hard to find spice unless you are in an Asian market. There were lots of drinks and the famous Jarritos sodas! Jarritos can sell for a lot of money at fancy taco joints! Not here though! A-ha! Besides C-Town, you can get chicken cut up into pieces in the chicken meat section. I have never seen boxed churro mix but found it here! Bags of rice lay on shelves as you finish paying at the cashiers. I found this market endless in surprises and most intriguing. I have found four supermarkets in the area so far, spread out and the neighborhood should be happy there are choices and options! All are walkable too! I spied a parking lot outside the supermarket!

This supermarket was the absolute worst thing to happen to this neighborhood. Not only are they…read moreoverpriced, disrespectful, and rude. Their delivery schedules have been causing chaos for the residents who live here. Multiple tractor trailers come speeding down the street which is "one way" and a hill. There has been multiple instances where they come up the wrong way and double park wherever they want. (See the photo where they constantly park in the resident's handicap spot.) The city won't do anything and the police won't do anything. This is more than just a safety issue. The city & these businesses don't take anything seriously until something tragic actually happens. It's sad and truly unfortunate that this business has no regard for the community.
