I transferred my Walgreens prescription here when I changed drug plans, because it was less expensive. Service was great, except for a little hiccup with the size of the tube. It all worked out and the pricing was great with my Cigna drug plan. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building and street parking out front. Everyone I spoke with was very nice. Only downside is they are a Mon-Fri pharmacy. read more

Do not look away! Medication you didn't ask for will be added to your bag and you'll pay and leave. By the time you get home and notice, sorry, they'll say. 'We can't take them back, but we'll give you partial store credit.' I have, several times, very clearly asked for certain meds, but they still added other meds when I looked away. read more

If only I could give this pharmacy 10 stars! Everyone is so kind and beyond helpful. I used CVS for years and never had a good experience with them. In fact, I very often walked out feeling extremely frustrated and angry. 986 Pharmacy feels like family when you walk in... Julie always greets you with a smile. Sam consulted with my doctor to recommend a time release version of my medication which was much easier on my stomach. (My doctor was happy to know there was another option, she had no idea about this version). They sincerely care about your health and well-being. They have been wonderful with cancer treatment care, explaining benefits as well as side affects for medications. I walk right past my previous pharmacy (in my doctor's office building) and drive to 98.6. They are located very close to the 210 & 2 freeway interchange making their location very convenient for many cities. read more

I don't write many Yelp reviews, because I am NOT a certified "Yelper". (Have you seen the South Park episode? Yeah, that's why). What I am however, is a customer who appreciates a good business, a clean shop, and a full inventory; this is exactly what I get out of 986 Pharmacy. I am super appreciative of the staff and of the service I receive with each visit (or delivery). I have been to other pharmacies, including the main ones (like a CVS or what have you) and there's something to be said about knowing your customers which gets lost with a lot of other pharmacies. 986 is refreshing in that every time I go in (or accept a delivery) I am greeted with a smile and they remember exactly who I am, and even our previous conversations. I happened to find them through my wife when I was looking for a medication that my previous pharmacy couldn't fill. They had it, and they were quick to help getting the prescription over and filled. They've always been readily available (no hold times on the phone) AND they deliver to Glendale. I will always go further and out of my way to support a business that exudes great customer service, it's important to me. The shop is always clean, I never have to wait long (even when there are a few people ahead of me) and they just have my medications ready because they know me as a customer. In this day and age, where everything is virtual and being distant is the new norm, seeing a business practice the old fashion way of dealing with their customer is a light in the dark. I recommend using this pharmacy over others, and always support local businesses who actually know how to do business. read more

This branch of 986 Pharmacy is the best out of all of the 986 Pharmacy around South California. They helped me figure out medication adjustments and insurance problems right away. They went out of their way to call my doctor on one phone and insurance company on the other end to resolve my issue. I love how they have free delivery service, flu vaccines, COVID vaccines, and any other immunization that you need. All the stuff are so friendly and very nice. Sam, the pharmacist, has compassion and great understand on the patient end and will resolve the problem as fast and precise as possible. Going in and dropping off my prescription and I got my medication within 5 minutes. They help avoid the long wait at the big chain pharmacy. read more

A great pharmacy is very important in health care. We have switched to a local pharmacy which many people have not yet heard about. It is 986 Compounding Pharmacy located in the 1809 Verdugo Blvd building where many fine doctors practice directly across the street from KECK Verdugo hospital. At first I thought the name "986 Compounding" was odd. Silly me t judge a professional service by the name. I now know that 986 is a very special pharmacy with the services of Sam Gong, a fine second generation pharmacist whose description of his goal is expressed in this letter to his patients " Dear Patient, Our mission is simple - keeping your body temperature at 98.6°F. We're built collectively, but run independently. Our stores maximize speed and offer free delivery for your convenience to make it that much easier. We provide more services to manage your health's progress." My husband and I and our internist are very impressed by Dr. Sam Gong and his treatment of his patients. He is young but grew up in his father's pharmacies and takes his profession very seriously and yet he is also very personable and easy to get to know. We obtained our Shingles vaccine shots from him when other phamacies had no access to the medicine, nearly a year before it was available at CVS. We were on the list at CVS and they never called us. Our monthly medications needed to be re-established when our health insurance changed this January and Dr. Sam Gong had us set up with the new insurance providers in minutes for automatic prescription filling by 986. Two years ago it took 2 hours in a grueling phone call with the insurance pharmacy by telephone to set up the list of medications. This pharmacy is legit! I needed to fill a prescription that other pharmacies were having a hard time filling. Not only did the pharmacy fill it but the lady that called me was very friendly on the phone and very helpful. I barely got there in time before they closed at 6 PM. When I walked in the door the pharmacist, I believe he's the owner, told me that if I'm ever running late to just call and he will wait for me. Bottom line staff is super friendly and they also offer delivery service which is how I will be getting my prescription from now on. read more

My husband and I got out booster shots here and everyone was so great. We arrived later than we should have and they still were kind enough to give us the shots and take time answering questions. I don't recommed showing up late ever, but they were so classy in the way they handled it. read more

My experiences with this pharmacy have been very good. They are fast and they follow through. Their prices for the drugs i have needed are low compared to CVS or Riteaid. When I use Riteaid they frequently can not find a prescription that has been ordered, only to find it later and i have to go back. read more
