They called me and told me that it had low compression on cylinder 1 and was going to need a new engine as well as many other repairs it needed. After quoting me a very high price, I declined and proceeded to pick up my truck later that day. When I went to pick up my truck, they again stated it would need a new engine, but when I asked what caused the low compression they stated that they did not know why. After taking matters into my own hands, I found amazing and consistent compression on all 8 cylinders of my engine and a faulty EGR valve that was causing all my problems. After replacing the EGR valve the truck ran flawlessly and hasn't had that problem since. I am so glad I didn't fall for a new engine! I would recommend staying away from Mechanics Pride as clearly they have no clue what they are doing. Thanks for nothing!

They're squeaking already (presumably dust), so we took it back in to be looked at. They suggested a $2200 censor replacement on her 2019 car. A censor change that no "lights" are indicating. They claimed the squeak was coming from some all wheel drive alignment in the back, when the squeak is clearly in the front and only when braking. Luckily, they also suggested a few other fixes for her that confirmed our suspicions.
