Walking Taco - mixed up. Came with a dollop of sour cream, other sauce & cheese. You think "broccoli???" But tbh it's great.
Samantha C.

So I've finished my 30 day challenge here at 95Nutrition. I've also participated in a 6 week challenge that overlapped my 30 days by 2 weeks...so 8 weeks of eating 95 Nutrition meals total by the end of next week. I've lost about 13lbs but you could totally lose more...IF you are a man, or a taller ladyperson. I am 5'3" and 36 yrs old and take a kickboxing class 3 times a week (1500-1800 calories burnt per week). At first I was trying to eat the suggested FOUR 95 meals a day and was full to the point of nausea all the time. I am short enough to only be allowed 1800 calories a day to maintain my current weight so I was also not losing the way I wanted with consuming around 1400 calories a day this way. I eventually switched to 3 meals and a Rule1 protein shake and then to 2 meals and a shake (and a low cal snack like a piece of fruit -- or hell a handful of chocolate covered pretzels). This finally got me to lose about 2lbs a week and to actually feel hungry near meal times and want to eat the food. Anyway I'd suggest figuring out what works for your hunger level and needed calorie intake and not necessarily following their 4 meal a day plan if you're a short ladyperson. That all said, this place is great. It's so convenient to get your pre-made tasty meals handed to you in a box each week and not have to think about what to eat or how to lose weight. It will literally just happen if you eat the meals. I will continue to purchase huge amounts of their protein pancakes for eternity, they are a great breakfast and only 294 calories for a female portion with 30 grams of protein! They do not taste like 'diet food' at all. In fact I remarked several times during my diet that I couldn't believe they were remotely good for me. They also do not have fake sugar. I must also point out the Rule1 products that 95 Nutrition sells especially the shakes because if you are short like me you can replace a meal with one of these for 130-140 calories and help cut calories from your day while staying full and consuming 30 grams of protein. Mixing the powder with coffee and a bit of almond milk was my go to shake and I'll continue to use this in the future. Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavors were great. Best meals are: Any protein pancake, oatmeal, Gordita Taco, Street Brawler Taco, Walking Taco, Taco Soup (see a theme?), Spinach Feta and Sausage Pasta, BBQ Pulled chicken, Spaghetti with meat sauce, Lasagna, Pizza Wraps, and Anything with GROUND or PULLED chicken. I've had gym friends comment that things I didn't like are amazing however so try what looks good to you. My dislikes were usually things with chunks or strips of chicken which became disappointingly textured when microwaved or meals that had so much ground turkey that it was a little unappetizing to force it all down. The staff at the West Seneca location are great and were always super welcoming and helpful with diet and supplement advice. The store is always neatly organized and clean. There is also so much more here than food if you're a fitness enthusiast and are looking to bulk up or cut weight or find a supplement. Suggested Hacks: Fridays all lady meals are $5, men's are $6. If you have a membership at ilovekickboxing they have a relationship and you can get a 10% discount on all purchases except the Friday meal sale ALL THE TIME. "welcome10" is a promo code for new customers for 10% off. "fit couples" is a coupon code that saves you $20 on 10 female + 10 male meals each week.

She asked me what my goals were and showed me and taught me different ways I could achieve my desired goals without spending a lot of money and taught me tons of great new workouts and food plans to keep me on track. She was one of a kind and I will be going back to this store from now on. Great customer service!

There was a young woman ahead of me purchasing a protein bar, and the cashier, Lucas, was relentlessly trying to convince her to purchase a pack of women's vitamins. He kept lowering the price and pushing the sale, even after she explained that she needed her money for gas. At one point, he made a comment along the lines of, "You don't have $10?" It was incredibly uncomfortable to witness. I can only imagine how she felt being put on the spot like that. Then it was my turn... He immediately asked if I took vitamins. I said yes, mostly because I had just watched what happened to the customer ahead of me and wanted to avoid the same sales pitch. Then he started asking about fish oil. I explained that I eat fish regularly, but that wasn't enough. How many times a week? What supplements do I take? The questions just kept coming. Eventually, I mentioned that I'm a registered dietitian, hoping that would put an end to the unsolicited nutrition advice. Instead, he responded with something along the lines of, "Oh, so you know as much as I do about nutrition!" Well, that's an interesting comparison. I have a master's degree in dietetics & nutrition with extensive clinical training. While I respect people working in the health and wellness industry, selling supplements/body building and practicing clinical nutrition are two very different things. Here's the thing: I understand sales goals. I understand upselling. And I appreciate employees who genuinely want to help customers make informed decisions. But there's a fine line between being helpful and being pushy, condescending, and downright uncomfortable. The young woman ahead of me shouldn't have had to justify needing money for gas, and I shouldn't have had to mention my professional credentials just to purchase something without being interrogated about my nutrition habits. I came in to buy a product, not attend an unsolicited nutrition consultation or witness someone being pressured into spending money they clearly didn't want to spend. A little less pressure and a lot more respect for customers would go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make me take my business elsewhere.

I happen to collect these things because they make awesome night lights (great for reading if others are asleep) and because they're just plain pretty. However, many people believe in the healing and purifying aspects of these things, and if that's your thing, cool. The women who run the store are very knowledgeable and can fill you in on all the different properties of the lamps. Oh yes, the staff - the women who run this place are adorable. I mean, I just want to put them in my pocket. They're super nice, and always happy to take a moment out of their day to chat, whether it's about their products or real estate, or whatever. They're also very good - they insist you "try out" any lamp in which you are interested, meaning you get to close yourself in the bathroom to check out how each lamp glows in total darkness. And replacement bulbs are always free, I think. They have a nice selection of magnetic jewelry, which again, I think is really pretty. Oh, and if any of you have housemates of a fuzzy nature, I highly recommend picking up one of the organic catnip toys. My cats *still* love the one that I brought home two years ago. Usually these things lose potency after a few months, but my furballs still get all drank-too-much-Jolt-cola around it. The thing is actually kind of disgusting after years of my cats licking it and sitting on it and doing god knows what. But hey, it still works! I always like supporting local stores, too. This is pretty much as Mom 'n Pop as you can get.

Over the last 15 years, I have had the privilege to have Dr. Carter as part of my health team, and…read moreit's been extremely healing and helpful. I have had consistent health issues from staph infections and shingles, to problems with my nervous and lymphatic system, anemia and chronic allergies at a young age. Some of these conditions have been harder to treat, owing to the lack of a well-known root cause and/or diagnosis; this has been extremely frustrating, not only because of the pain and illness, but because of the lack of empathy, care and love I have experienced in the traditional medical system. Dr. Carter has been the one doctor that has really listened to me in a very healing way. He has validated my concerns and has not not rushed to diagnose something just to check a box. Instead of making assumptions, he has patiently walked with me through this journey to health with a lot of loving care, empowering me in every step of the way to take control of my health. I have had experiences with many doctors that simply don't show care or empathy; with Dr. Carter, I have felt that he cares for me as a patient in a holistic way, and this in itself has been incredibly healing for me. Not only that, but his evaluations and recommendations have been the most effective throughout my healing journey, as a result of his holistic, personal, and balanced approach. As an anthropologist, I have studied the traditional and fundamental role of healthcare providers over time and in a variety of cultures: a trusted person who cares for the total wellbeing of their patient. Dr. Carter truly embodies this model of care. It is a real privilege to be under the care of Dr. Carter, and I highly recommend him.
