I was greeted by a lovely front desk staff, the spa was quiet and clean. The relaxation room was clean and well stocked with little snacks, tea and water with lemon. I had an 80 minute Swedish massage with Morgan and it was totally amazing and relaxing and effective. He said that they don't normally make 4:15 appointments, but since I was coming straight from work, it would be okay. I was so happy that they would do that, I told him, "I'll see you for sure Tuesday at 4:15!" He then said, "I'll be here, either way!" When I arrived, their hours said they were open until 5pm, but the door said 'closed' and there was nobody there. I was there at 4:12. I called them and left a message to find out what happened. The next day when they called me, the man said that they don't make 4:15 appointments, and they waited for me until 4:15, then closed. At 4:15. When I told him I was there before then, he told me I wasn't, and he wasn't very nice about it. I won't even try to go there again because he was so confrontational about it, especially since I asked twice when I made the appointment to be sure it was okay. Not to mention that they should have been open until 5pm anyhow, like their sign said.

From the moment I first walked in the door I felt welcomed and relaxed by the soothing environment and friendly staff. The level of professionalism and quality of services at Harmony far exceeds that of other salons and spas in the area, and are even better than the most of the high-end salons I have been to in NYC and San Francisco (for a much better price too). The menu of services is extensive, including a full range of hair, skin and makeup, nail and massage services. The staff is extremely personal and knowledgeable about the products and services that are best for each of their customers and are well informed on the latest trends and styles. This happened multiple times. While the salon aims to be a high-end salon I feel it just misses the mark in the details. There isn't a full time receptionist so during my appointment my stylist has stopped and left to go answer the phone. During one coloring she had a lengthy personal conversation, which I think took her attention away from what she was doing because the color didn't turn out as discussed. Definately better than one of the chains you find in a strip mall, but wasn't a great fit for me any more.
