No no no. I'm always willing to try out local businesses so when I was in immediate need for a therapeutic massage, I checked this place out. I was pleased with how easily I was able to make an appointment online. And for the same day!! This should have been my first clue - any well regarded therapist is generally booked for weeks. When I arrived at the building, I noticed on this 90 degree day that the door to the 'spa' was open. I thought someone forgot to close it. Nope, the 'spa' has no AC! While waiting at the desk that nobody was manning, I noticed the window was covered by a piece of dirty white material (a sheet?). And there was a bowl of old dirty looking candy on the ledge. Nice vibes. After the toilet flushed, an exhausted looking lady came out and looked at me without acknowledging my presence. I mentioned I had an appt. After calling and talking to someone on the phone, she then spoke into a translation app and had me read the interpreted words and speak into it myself. Then she pointed to the sign that said "Pay Before Massage". So I attempted to use the Venmo acct info on the desk but the transaction would not go through (Lucky break). Then she showed me my room and I noticed another customer getting a massage because his door was open. Ugh. Then I heard 60 or 70 (couldn't understand which) cash, cash (cash was clearly pronounced).
