I have gone to Peles four different times and wish I had known about it sooner before moving away! Very professional and modern salon especially for Johnstown. Rivals any salon I've been in while living in Southern California! You can tell the owner puts his whole heart into the salon and the stylists are on top of their game. Their shampoo treatment /scalp massage was a bit rough for me and not as relaxing, but that's something I can verbally ask to change ! Bring cash for tips!

I am very late with this review, but I had an AMAZING experience here! Katie is so talented and kind! I made a last minute appointment to have my hair curled for the Marine Ball and it turned out perfect. The prices are also very reasonable! Thank you so much, Katie!

The spa is insanely beautiful here! The moment you approach the building and see the zen garden out…read morefront you feel relaxed. Going through the automatic doors you can tell they put a lot of thought into the entire design of the spa. My friend and I arrived early for our massage so we could enjoy the pool. It was a beautiful day so we spent time at the outdoor pool. The pool is perfect! They have waiter service so you can get poolside drinks, snacks, and smoothies. When it was time to head in we put our robes and headed to the waiting area. The interior of the spa walking to the treatment room was beautiful. The water features are beautiful. They also have crystals all over the ceiling. My masseuse told me they literally take them down a few times a year and bury them to charge them. I'm not very into crystals, but if you are, I imagine this is something you would certainly appreciate. I really enjoyed every minute of my massage! This was probably one of the more expensive massages I have had, but if you arrive early or stay late and make the most of the spa it feels more worth it. The only room I feel like could have used an upgrade was the spa waiting room. I think some additional snacks and tea options would go far to just making the whole experience. I would certainly head back into the spa again the next time I'm at Nemacolin.

However, while the spa was good, there just felt like something was missing. I will give it 4.5 stars if I could on Yelp. Not quite 5 stars. Price: $$$$ massages start at 300+ for 80 min and go upwards. Facials start at 250+ for men and 300+ for women and with add ons the price can climb quickly. Gratuity is added already but you can adjust after your service accordingly. Pros: very friendly staff, locker areas are clean. Showers are cleaned quickly after patrons use them. All the amenities you need to freshen up are provided and the robes are OH so soft. When you book a service, you have access to the pool, saunas and whirlpool. There is also a fireside lounge on the third floor where you can also reserve to relax in. Kim, the aesthetician that gave me my facial took the time to explain everything, was very thorough in evaluation of my skin and took my concerns in mind in her treatment. She didn't rush the appointment and made honest recommendations without trying to sell me any products. She was great! They have biologique recherche products, which provides another type of facial experience. Cons: really not too much. Would be nice to have a common waiting are for men and women, especially a couple waiting for treatments. Men's steam sauna was broken at the time. For the women's, there was a strong smell of chlorine in the Eucalyptus steam sauna. For such a luxury place, felt like these small details add up when you are paying 600+ for experiences. Likelihood of returning: high when at the resort again. However, it's not open to the public if you're not staying on the property.

A facial above and beyond "treat yourself", you will feel changed!!…read more As an early Mother's Day gift I enjoyed a wonderful Signature Chemical Peel and facial from Marybeth at Elements last month. The experience and results were amazing. My formerly dull, problem skin is now glowing and looks at least 10 years younger! In the past I've wasted so much time and money on dermatologists, they just write an Rx and tell you to cleanse with cetaphil. This treatment has been a game changer for me. Three weeks on I'm still enjoying the results. The spa is a very tranquil, soothing environment, so easy to relax there! Marybeth was very knowledgeable about the Image Skincare products and very attentive to my needs throughout the facial. It was extremely effective without being painful at all. I loved the products in my post facial kit so much I returned to buy them full size. I highly, highly recommend Marybeth at Elements for facials and can't wait to schedule my next service!

When you first walk in to the fitness center you have to go towards the back to get to the spa. Once you walk through the door you feel the tranquility and the serenity of a spa. It's a great little space, very welcoming and comfortable. If you are looking for a good Esthetician in the Cumberland area Tiffany is your girl. My facialist (Tiffany) was a sweetheart. She's very knowledgeable and gives you the full spa treatment. She also does a great scalp massage! Elements offers a wide range of effective high-quality skincare products. They use a line of Yonka skincare products that are plant based from France. Since I like to use a holistic regimen, I was thrilled. It was great I will definitely be going back! They offer a monthly membership at a discounted price. Fab idea! Hope to bring my husband in for a facial. Maybe we'll do a couples spa day and also get in a massage.

They have the most beautiful treatment room and most comfortable massage table I've even been on. You can tell Kelly takes a lot of pride in the integrity of the historic home and of her business. Ashley was wonderful too, they were excellent hostesses but did not hover and it felt very quiet and secluded- exactly what I needed! My husband and I always feel so welcomed here. Kelly is incredibly kind, accommodating, and inviting. Breakfast is excellent every morning, and they provide a daily charcuterie board to snack on, which is such a nice, thoughtful touch. We also loved that they have a fully stocked, self service coffee bar available anytime, featuring a great variety of coffees, espressos, teas, and even hot chocolate to suit whatever mood you are in. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, this is it. The staff is so friendly, and having spa services available right on site makes it even better. Plus, it is in a great location, just a short, easy drive into Middletown to grab lunch or dinner. This is the perfect place to truly unwind and recharge. Thank you Kelly for making us feel at home and for your generosity. Your warm and positive energy truly shows. We cannot recommend Beaver Creek enough.

When I called to book an appointment they had one time slot available - the website connected to Yelp does not work - so I wasn't able to see a list of services. When booking over the phone I spoke with a nice front desk gal who offered two massage services, Swedish or Deep Tissue. I booked the deep tissue massage. Note: I wasn't asked any preference on a female or male therapist. I guess they only had a male therapist available (which I don't have an issue with but I do feel like the receptionist should have informed me that they only had a male therapist available and if that worked with my preferences). The studio was hard to find as it is tucked in a corner and hard to see in the parking lot. The office itself self is set up nicely when walking in and the front desk gal was professional (can't really say the same for my male therapist). They did have a neat and spacious looking salt cave - one of the best I've seen - but I did not bundle that into my vist I spoke with my therapist before my massage and let him know specific areas I needed work on - my left rhomboid/scapula/lat, my right trap, and my right lower back/hip/glute - I explained that besides my hip and glutes I ONLY wanted upper body= no legs. First my deep tissue was more like a very weak firm Swedish massage - not fully concentrating with healing intention to where my biggest knot/adhesion was. He decided to massage my full body when I said I only wanted my upper back, lower right glute and hips, and then some forearms and hands. His draping was very unprofessional- I've gotten well over 200 massages in my short life time and I've never had anyone drape me to where my entire buttocks was exposed let alone the massage therapist massaging my entire glute - and not in a deep tissue type of way but a very light Swedish massage. This was extremely unprofessional. I sincerely felt like I was paying someone to enjoy touching me instead of touching me in a therapeutic and healing manner. It was very uncomfortable for me and I will never go back there again. I just had a bad experience with my therapist but maybe other therapist are actually professional and their salt cave looked like it would be a relaxing experience.

I tried 3x for the old Roman bathhouse and had to resort to calling the main bathhouse to reserve. The lady on the line was very knowledgeable and warm. Five people reserving and 1 person reserving all get the same one room. There were 4 of us in our group and we got this room for 30 min. It is pretty small but would be fine for 2 people, I feel. The water was very hot and we did have to add cold water at intervals. It's our fault for doing this in the first week of June (weather was about 85 and sunny outside!) I can see this being a spot of refuge in the colder months! There was a tank of cold spring water for drinking. This bathhouse just had 1 bathroom that was roomy enough to change in but no other changing rooms. The receptionist and staff were very nice. I appreciated the printout with all the minerals in the water listed. That was informative and so interesting. We also additionally bought a jug to load up their mineral spring water! This was not a cheap activity but we loved the park and the attraction and history behind everything. First person is $32 and then additionally $22. There are age discounts.
