I'm 17 and my enrollment was from the beginning of May 2018 until the end of July, and I feel like this program is the best quality driving school. You have your in-class time where you learn ALOT (mostly common sense stuff and then actual important information/facts). Then you have your 2hr drives that you have to complete on your own time (drives were my favorite b/c I like hands on stuff). Drives are 1 hour of you driving and then 1 hr of observing someone else drive (so you always do your drives w/ some other student who scheduled for that same time). I chose to take both my knowledge and drive test here as well, because why not. I'm familiar with the staff and I have better chances at acing my test in a familiar setting. (I took IB Psychology y'all, I know all about that). Honestly the only tiny issue was that there was this one lady at the front desk who stayed having this annoying passive aggressive attitude for no reason, but that's really a minor thing. Overall, if I'm still in Kent when I have kids (which I doubt. Texas is callin my name lol) they're definitely coming to 911 Driving School. read more

The class instructor was knowledgeable and engaging for my son. I had reservations with an online curriculum; however, he kept the students in active participation. The instructors for the in-person drives were top tier; establishing trust and a level of mutual respect with the students, which I believe encourages them to ask more questions and truly learn throughout the process. It goes without saying that we will only get out what we put into something, so the quality of the experience is primarily based on the student's ability to learn and follow directions; but it should be noted that this team of instructors are truly set apart from rest. The field instructors undoubtedly set the tone for a sound learning environment. While the few we encountered were great, Aaron was exceptional with my son and deserves more than an honorable mention. He truly connects with these young adults and takes a vested interest in their learning. He takes pride in his role at 911 and it shows. I have put two of my kids through 911 Driving School so far. One completed the online program and the other did in-person instruction, based on their individual needs. The instructors did a great job preparing them for their tests, and the driving instructors communicated well with me about my students' needs. Scheduling the required six drives, however, is challenging. You have to log in daily and hope to secure a spot before they fill up, which can be difficult for busy working parents. That said, when I called the front desk or shared my concerns, the staff were responsive and helpful. Both of my kids passed their state tests and drives on the first attempt, and I feel the program did a solid job preparing them. I have another teen who will be learning to drive soon, and we would choose 911 Driving School again. read more

Great Instructors! The lessons are comprehensive and parents are welcome to sit in. I appreciated the open forum and ability to see my daughter drive without having to be the one in the passenger seat. I learned several things myself while riding along. As in any institution there are some great instructors and some that didn't work as well for my daughter but it was due to personality differences and not ability. It's clear that every instructor cares about the students and is doing their best to create a positive experience for everyone. There were two Front Desk people that go above and beyond to be helpful and there were a few that were there to get the job done. They all got the job done. It's just much nicer when people are kind. All in all, recommend 911 Driving School one hundred percent. read more

I am glad we selected this school for our daughter since the teachers to staff have been great to work with. Teaching is helpful and true to life situations which is beneficial. The driving aspect teachers have been super helpful too and give useful feedback, skill checks and lessons on becoming a better driver. The only issue we have is the lack of appts to schedule drives. They were up front that this was a problem upon the first class but being told to check continually is not realistic. I had to call to get in some time and then daily check for open spots. Just to me if you secure my child a spot there should be appts to match, and I realize its busy but we are going beyond her classes to get in time which I am not happy with. read more

I had a lot of fun! I am a student with lots of anxiety and all the instructors I had were very mindful plus understanding of how I was feeling while driving. I had a very nice woman, rick, Steve and 2 instructors that all were very generous and had something new for me to learn on each drive. On my 4th drive I had a anxiety attack and my instructor helped me the whole time. Rick was the best!, he was super funny, great, kind and had a lot of good information on driving. Every time I went on a drive with rick he taught me as much as he could whilst making me feel very calm. Very much appreciate this driving school for existing. I took a Defensive Driving class from Bill Michels & took an in-car lesson from Stephen Ives and both instructors are excellent. I chose to get my license later in life and the driving school I learned from was great, but then didn't drive for a couple of years and needed a refresher and wanted to learn defensive driving skills; just want to be a safe driver for myself and others and happy to have come here. We had both of our sons attend Kent location of 911 Driving School. We appreciate all the dedicated instructors that are current or retired police officers. Best instructors and even having our youngest attend during the Covid pandemic via Zoom, he still learned well despite not being in person. The confidence that they have from driving the cars there for all the practices then being able to take their test in the same cars same instructors they are familiar with and more comfortable! This helps and worth being able to do all practice drives and final test in one place!!! Highly recommend for anyone learning to drive! read more

Totally satisfied with this driving school. I would recommend 911 Driving School to my closest friends and family. They are very professional and knowledgeable of the rules of the road. When my Daughter got old enough to drive I knew that I wanted her to have every advantage she could before I set her loose out on the roads on her own . I wanted her equipped with all the the tools and knowledge I could get for her to be safe .. I highly recommend 911 Driving School for many reasons, they are very friendly, patient and very hands on with the teaching and the training. They are really busy with scheduled drives and hard to get one, so take one as soon as the open up. My Daughter did not pass her first drive test for her license and they took the time to go over with her and tell her what she needed to work on and all it was, she didn't come to a full complete stop at a stop sign which is an automatic fail. This was our 2nd choice but should have been our 1st after partially attending another drive school (I-5 which has a very bad history sadly). 911 front staff went above and beyond. Always professional, kind and caring. Willing to listen and accomodate special needs or request when possible. The class instructor was ( Bill) at THS is AWESOME. The drive instructors were fantastic, patient and calming. Especially Marc, he was honest, encouraging, insightful and beyond helpful with our very shy daughter. Positive and professional instruction with humor. Parents should know they can drive with student to hear instructions. Disappointed when my son barely passed the driving test after spending so much money. Instructors need to be a bit more serious about preparation. Front desk and phone lines are not well managed. I never received a response from his instructor after asking him to call to discuss his progress as there was conflicting information during the driving test for his license. read more

I highly recommend 911 Driving School to anyone who is looking to pass the test. The instructors and their staff are very nice. Sometimes is hard to book the drives but be patient cause it is worth the wait.... The Zoom format for the classes worked just fine even under the strange conditions with the pandemic, and my son stayed engaged and learned a ton in the classes. The instructors for the drives were all fantastic, patient, kind, and encouraging. My son felt more than ready to take both the written and road tests at the end of the course. Very pleased with the outcome of our son learning to be a safe, confident driver. We loved the fact that the instructors are former police, emergency responders who were knowledgeable and were not intimidating. You can tell they have experience working/dealing with kids and that really helped a lot. I have been impressed with the service and also class structure for my daughter who attended over the last year. Plus the benefit of being able to take the knowledge and driving test during the current Covid situation is very helpful too. My son was trained here in Kent at the 911 driving school. I am 46 years young and have been driving since I was 16. My son is a better driver than my husband and I. He is very safe and observant when driving. I give credit to 911 for training him properly. My daughter will be 15 in June. She will definitely be attending 911 driving school when she turns 16. They made quite an impression on him, using their first-hand experience in law enforcement with all sorts of drivers, to provide relatable teaching moments.
