Visited last night to satisfy a pregnancy craving, the normal go to spot was packed so I convinced a friend to give this place a try. We were seated immediately in the outdoor seating area. Our server promptly came over to take our drink order and bring chips and salsa - The only complaint I have with this is the server kept asking if I wanted something other than water I'm very obviously pregnant (round bump) and so he kept sharing what beers and mixed drinks they have; maybe for my friend but it felt highly directed at me. I didn't order water to be cheap, I ordered it because that's all I could have in the moment. We placed our food order it came out quickly, hot and big portions this was great. the server came to check on us, all was well. My friend eventually ordered a beer and that came promptly. Once we were finished and the plates were cleared we asked for the check - almost 30 minutes later and multiple reminders to our server we finally got the check. The food definitely needed more seasoning on the meats, the salsa was great, and I wish the end of service for the check was better. Wow. Really sad to leave this place a bad review, but this place has gone downhill so fast. The place was filthy and it wasn't even busy at all (one or two other customers). The women's bathroom toilet has no flushing handle and you have to reach down into the top to manually do it. Flies buzzing around. Second visit tonight. 1st visit great bartlender decent food arrived 915 no issues. Tonight In greeted with you have 5 mins to order and pudgy pony tail guy is definitely put off that a customer showed up. I order 4 tacos -tortillas are cold and hard meat is hard but warm my pre made house marg is okay. I expecting hIm to sell me another drink since the people next to me have full drinks, but he just turns the lights on. I mean he just to fill the glass with ice and poor it. This place is terrible. My order was wrong. Charged me extra for sour cream and lettuce for a burrito but did not include it in the burrito. Which was dry and sorry. Also, charged me for an alcohol drink although the waiter, Neil was told to split it among those who were drinking. On top of that, he added an extra $2.00 gratuity to my bill without my knowledge. When I called to complain the person who answered who refused to give his name said there were nothing he could do I have to just take it. Don't go to this place they are a bunch of crooks with sorry overpriced food. read more

i came to this place on a Tuesday, waited for 30 minutes to see a server. It was busy at the time which I understand, but the reason to why i'm rating this place a 1 star is because the food got me sick, and i threw up 3 times to remove what I just ate out of my body. We waited 30 additional minutes to get the checks and had to go up and pay at the bar since we never saw our server again. Will not be coming back here. read more

This place was very disappointing. We waited forever just to get our drinks while the entire wait staff was just talking to each other. When they did take our food order our waitress had in her headphones, of course when we got our food the order was wrong. Also, the food wasn't even that good it wasn't worth the wait and the terrible staff. There was another taco place within less than 5 minutes walking distance and I honestly regret not going there instead. Great for convenance, atmosphere, and location. However the food I would say is sub-par to even la nop. It's almost like the flavor wants to be there but is short of authenticity. It's mildly enjoyable but very plain and the margaritas questioned whether alcohol was present. All of the workers were however very nice and I made sure to tip well they all seemed friendly and helped me with anything I needed. read more

This place was really good. Not too crazy on a Sunday night! I ordered a veggie burrito, my husband got the flautas. Both were very good! The veggie burrito was absolutely massive!! Ingredients were perfect: rice, beans, cheese, guac, lettuce. The ratio of ingredients was awesome and everything was super fresh, the quality of everything from the guac to the cheese to the tortilla itself was delicious. The salsa and queso dip were delicious too! I practically filled up before the food came out. The salsa was definitely made in house and tasted delicious and super fresh. Absolutely will be back! The service was amazing, the offerings were really well rounded. Definitely adding this place to our date night rotation, it is a little pricey but absolutely worth it. Oh and they kept the cool diner chairs and tables inside super funky vibe but I love it, perfect popping spot on the weekend with that awesome outdoor patio space as well read more

the place looks pretty. Howeve,r, the draft beers tasted like sewer water, we tried 3 different beers and they all tasted the same and the bartender was aware of it and didn't do anything. The food was disgusting, the carnitas tasted like dog food and the chimichurry tacos had no flavor And also cut Súper small. In addition, is a white place . Hands down best authentic tacos in Jax. We've eaten at a dozen different places and this one blows ALL of them out of the water. 10/10.

First off I'd like to say... save your time and money. Since you're in the area I'd go to El Jefe or Corner Taco for Mexican... avoid this place. Super bland food. Asked for a margarita and had them recommend which were strongest. For sure it was 100% watered down. Our waitress just seemed bothered from the second we sat down and we were asked what our drink orders were. Fajitas came out and looked promising but... 99.9% vegetables with .1% steak in there. Burrito came out and also looked promising... huge burrito but no sauce or anything on top. We requested an appetizer of queso just so the burrito had some sort of sauce. She was bothered we asked for something additional to help the meal. I hate writing bad reviews because I know with COVID things are tough but customer service and flavorful food go a long way. Once again, the drinks were quick and chips and salsa were on the table in a flash. The queso was good. The salsa tastes fresh. The service was friendly. I'm not a fan of restaurants letting dogs in but this place does. If you're into dining with animals, this place is for you. I ordered the Keto tacos with cheese shell this time because I'm not a huge fan of corn tortillas. They tasted good and fresh. The guacamole on the taco was better than most other places and I liked the zip of their house made hot sauce. Did I mention the service was fast and friendly? We also ordered some Mexican street corn. I have to say, of all the places in Jax I get this from, this is by far my favorite. It's roasted on the cob and had a great cheesy, limey, buttery, cilantro-y flavor. They make you pay extra for items like sour cream and cheese but there is no price nowhere on the menu letting you know it's a upcharge for the items! They just charge whatever they want! I asked the waitress why she didn't make me aware of the upcharge since she's the waitress. She said it's not my job to tell you if you didn't ask me! I didn't ask because there wasn't a price nowhere to let me know so I'm under the impression it's no charge for it! I ask to speak to the manager and he says when you go out to eat at restaurants and you don't see a price it's because there's a price on it if you ask "what's the price".How in the entire F*** I'm supposed to know that!! That's why you have a waitress and your waitress suppose to inform me of the upcharge! I got charge 1.50 for sour cream for literally 1/2 a scoop and 1.50 for shredded cheese that wasn't even enough to cover 1 taco! I won't be going bk the manager handled it poorly! I have lived in California for 26 years so I know real Mexican food when I smell it and taste it. I decided the other day to finally go in there within the first month of their opening. Boy was I glad I did. I ordered the tilapia taco the shrimp taco the pork tamale and a side of rice and beans with cheese. Everything was tasty and delicious. by the time I opened up the container my food was lukewarm and I had to warm it but I could smell this was going to be delicious. And more than my expectations every entree was authentically Mexican in the taste texture and visual appeal. since I've lived in Florida I've often found that Mexican restaurants don't meet the mark in my expectation of what really good Mexican food should taste like. This place was above and beyond and I will be going there regularly. there was another spot in five points that for the longest time was primarily the only place I ate at and had been going there for years but I believe that 904 tacos just knocked them from the top spot. read more
