They don't do a very good job on toes and they smudged and didn't fix them and when they wouldn't dry fast enough they would add top coat and it would smudge so I went to dry them and they kept adding to make them better but they kept smudging. read more

Was told there would be a one hour wait, ended up sitting there for over 2 hours and did not receive a single update as to when I would be getting my nails done. Horrible customer service. They do great nails but are incredibly rude. Will not be going here again. read more

I made an appointment for a mani and pedi and went in around 11:00am. When I got there, there were 3 clients and around 6 nail technicians. They sat me in the chair and started doing my nails and toes at the same time. I already felt rushed and not relaxed. The nail salon itself wasn't the cleanest and some things just seemed unsanitary. The woman doing my toes pulled out the scraper and then washed the scraper in the water that my feet were still in. The orange scrub smelt nice, but to get the product, she took her wet, gloved hand that just touched my foot and opened the bottle.. all while her hand was dripping wet into the product bottle. She also grabbed the product with her hand. I was appalled. On top of that, the towels that they were using were so ragged. The woman doing my pedicure gave great service. She was kind, gentle, and took her time. There was a party of 3 that just walked in and then followed by a party of 2. The nail techs said that they could take them. The woman doing my manicure then was in a complete rush. She finished my manicure in 2 minutes... mind you I was doing gel and she didn't even allow the gel machine to fully cure the gel. After like 15 seconds on each hand she told me to "get it out". My nails were done and then she looks at them and files each nail super fast. Like she just touched the nail file to the tip then moved onto the next. Lastly, she did a massage in probably 10 seconds. I understand that businesses want to make money, but every customer is paying good money for this service. Nails aren't cheap and I just felt like the service was the lowest quality I've ever received at a nail salon. This was my first time trying this place and definitely my last. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My husband got me a mani/pedi gift certificate, looked forward after some healing for some relaxing me time. What I got for my husbands 100.00 gift was anything but. Was treated rudely, yelled at. All 3 times my lashes have fallen off in 2-3 days!!! Waaaaaaay before the 2 weeks that they're supposed to last. I have been getting my lashes done for 8 years and this is by far the worst my lashes have ever been done. I left my lash person because it was VERY expensive going to him and I couldn't afford it anymore. Kim is way cheaper. But you have to remember, you get what you pay for. The lady hacked into the side of my perfectly shaped toe nails with a cuticle clipper and cut them so uneven and jagged down to my nail bed that it will take 2 months to reshape and grow them back to normal. I took my mom here since our usual place was closed and was super disappointed. Besides the place being super unorganized and not clean it seemed like everyone was rushing even though it wasn't busy. The lady doing my nails wasn't allowing the machine to do its job and was apply a lot of pressure to my naturally long nails. My nail beds turned bright red and got super sensitive. I got nicked a few times because she was rushing. She didn't listen to anything I wanted even though I had the picture in front of her the whole time. I kept having to remind her of what I wanted even though it was simple. When she was done it was sloppy and I had to fix and clean them up myself. This place was chaotic. When I went to pay I asked if they had Apple Pay but they didn't know how to use it. So I went to go pay with my card, but instead they told me to go pull cash from their ATM machine instead. I asked why, but got no answer. Because of this I was forced to tip more than I wanted as there was no one at the pay station to take payment. I was just standing around waiting for someone to take my money and just wanted out. I definitely won't be going back. They need to get their shiznizzle together. read more

Since Tony left this place is terrible. New manager is really rude to customers. Also, I got a brand new set of nails and one of them broke 3 times in 2 weeks and they charged me $5 each time. EEWW the atmosphere in this place feels like someone died, they are remodeling and I am very disappointed with this salon now. I'm just finding out that Tony and his amazing wife Mimi left since for it has been a quite a few months since I had gotten my nails done here, and this place has gotten new management. Now I have been coming here since 2015 and every time they have done AMAZING with my nails, they always came out looking good and never cut me. I went in yesterday just for a walk in fill on my acrylics they sat me within 15-20mins which was nice, The lady started on my nails after I picked my color. Now this is where things started going wrong, she started using the electric nail drill buffer and started going over my nails. Now I know they do have to do that but to the point where I started noticing it was getting really thin, and she stopped looking at my hand for a second and got the side of my finger to the point where I pulled my hand back as I flinched from the pain the buffer hit the top of my nail again when I pulled it back and again after she asked if I was alright she went back to filing my nails down. After the lady was done even tho I felt like she missed a few steps, my nails looked nice and I liked them...I tipped her said thank you and left. Bad thing I got home and did some things around my house I went to put my shoes on and my nail snapped off right at the top. Not even a whole 24hrs and the nail broke. I did go get it fixed today once again the girl I got cut me by going to far back on my cuticles on my one finger as it was already still red and irritated as she was trying to buff it out to get to my nail..NOPE when that didn't work she tried using another acrylic nail top to PRY it off and when I said "OW" because I had just gotten this set YESTERDAY she took the nail clippers and just clipped it back enough she could fix my nail. The top of the nail wasn't even the same size as the one on my other hand I have glue all over my finger and my finger hurts! VERY disappointing in this place. I just wanted to get my acrylics off and went in for a quick appointment. Walked in and was told to come back in 30 minutes. 20 minutes later, I came back, and no one greeted me or told me what was going on. I waited for over an hour in total, and watched the person before me get a new set. The man at the front showed me to my seat, and it was the same seat the person before me was in... WITHOUT BEING CLEANED! There were literal pieces of her nails still there! The man proceeded to just pull my nails off. I told him that it hurt and asked if he could use acetone or something. He said it wasn't necessary and continued ripping my nails off. Then he used the same buffing tool and nail clippers that he didn't clean. I was literally crying by the end. Will never go back! I returned to 9 Essentials Nail Spa after one visit due to having a pleasant experience the first time. On my second visit however, the technician accidentally cut my toe nail and caused a lot of bleeding. She immediately applied a bottle of blue liquid to stop the bleeding, with the applicator directly touching my open wound. I do not feel that this was sanitary, and feel like my health could have at stake. I did not see her disinfect the bottle afterwards, so this didn't put me at ease either. I will be following up with my doctor to make sure I did not receive any infections, but I caution anyone visiting here to make sure that they are being given clean tools in addition to being treated in a safe and sanitary manner. I also walked away with dried blood on my toe... and was offered no sort of discount or apology. read more

Normally I really like them. The guy who works there is the best. But this time I went I got someone who I'm pretty sure is not certified and she filed my nails so far down that she hit nerves. She filed the skin around my cuticles and made me bleed. Then she cut of chunks of skin around my nails because she didn't separate my nails from the glue. The shape is all janky and my hands were left sore and throbbing. If you do go, go right before closing and ask for Tony. When you go before closing they aren't as stressed to get you finished and they are much nicer. Tony is very nice, humorous, and he really tries to do a good job. I personally won't be going back and will find a new place to get my acrylic nails done. read more

The pedicure is the best ever, but make sure your not in a hurry because they don't rush it by any means...hot stone massage and paraffin wax to top it off! I called and made an appointment (arrived a little late for my appointment, as I was new to the area and got lost). I came in and apologized for being late and asked if I could keep my appointment or if I needed to make another appointment - he said it was fine (the gentleman who worked on me - didn't even introduce himself, so I have no idea what his name is). He sits at the front station right as you walk in. I needed a new set of acrylics, so in the removal process he cuts off my old nail - however, he didn't CHECK behind my nail - and when he cut one nail - he cut the skin underneath. It hurt so bad, tears welled up in my eyes. He didn't apologize, no one came over and checked - (as I had inadvertently yelled because it hurt), he didn't offer me a 'free' service (and I had a pedicure scheduled) - he just kept on moving forward and wiping the blood off the table (yes, I was bleeding when he was done - and NOTHING at all from the salon owner) Maybe it was because this was my first (and last) visit. read more

I went in as a walk in for a eyebrow & lip wax, They asked me if I could wait 20 mins, which I replied yes. I informed them I would have a frozen yogurt next door in the mean time. When I came back from my initial 20 mins wait time they had me waiting atleast 40 mins more. I asked if it was too much to attend me, if it's a bad time, I understand, I can leave. They then replied that it would be 10 more minutes, I did not believe them any longer and left. It's unprofessional of them to lie on wait times, I don't mind the reasonable wait time, or to be told that they are unavailable at the time, What is wrong is to make someone lie to you and have you wait an unreasonable amount of time for nothing. I have been to this salon a number of times for mani pedi and facials. The service is outstanding as is the quality of work. They offer a menu with clear and fair pricing. They only accept tips in cash though and the nearest machine is Walgreens so plan ahead. They never cut corners and always give the full service plus. They use the disposable pedicure basin covers and keep the pave clean and organized even during construction. read more

I have been going to them for about a year and love the way my nails look when I leave, however, it has become apparent to me that they do not sanitize their instruments. I witnessed used instruments (I sat next to the client these were used on) be rinsed off, dried with a towel, placed inside an autoclave bag and put back in the manicurist's drawer. I then saw the same bag come out of the drawer and those same instruments used on the new client. As I think back, I don't believe I've ever seen instruments come out of a sealed autoclave bag. I always just chalked it up to me not paying close attention, but no, I don't think they've been using the autoclave after each use (if at all). I have also witnessed the bowls that are used to soak your hand in during a manicure put back in a drawer for use without being washed or even rinsed. It pains me to write this, but these conditions are not sanitary. I have also filed a complaint with the DOH. These unsanitary conditions are dangerous. This is the way fungus and infection get spread. I feel lucky that I haven't caught a bug from this salon. read more

Upon arrival we were greeted by very rude staff. A different person did my pedicure (was nice enough) but I went home with very sore toes and that night it felt like my foot was on fire. I treated my infected toes with several hot soaks and antibacterial cream to clear them up. The lady who did my manicure pulled unwrapped cuticle clippers out of the drawer, used them on my fingers, and put them back in the drawer without cleaning them. Needless to say, I got an infection in my fingers and had to treat those as well. I will keep looking for a nail salon that has nice staff and cleans their tools! read more

I came in for a spa pedicure with a gift certificate on a weekday afternoon. Everyone was friendly and they got me right in. This is a hard review for me, I am giving three stars for the effort, the actual pedicure was good however the color job was mediocre. I started with one younger gal and ended with an older gal for the color. I could tell she was struggling. And while I was nice, I did ask for things to be fixed and she tried. All the tips were not painted, there was a large air bubble on the big toe, the pinky has a clump and quite a bit of color on the skin... in the end she fixed it the best she could, but for me paying $25-$30 for a pedicure should be better than my paint job at home. read more

Another woman walked in and sat for maybe 3 minutes towards the end of my wait. She got called in front of me. At 4:20 I was then told they close at 5 and it's too late for me. I mentioned the woman who went in front of me and he said 'she just wants a pedicure' . I would of settled just for a pedi if that was mentioned. Or, knowing ai was waiting for nothing, rescheduled. This was my 3rd visit here. I have received good service each time. I have seen Hanna two of the three visits (classic pedicure & gel manicure) and she's fantastic. My only complaint is that two of my three visits (including today) customers were allowed to hold personal cellular phone calls while receiving their services.
