The owner, Frank, is also incredibly friendly and has a great story about his start with kickboxing. Based on the first class and overall experience, I can already see myself becoming a member. It's a super nice community of people and the trainers are really welcoming. Frank (the owner/trainer) has a really fascinating story about how he decided to buy the company himself! Mason also is a professional boxer and gives good advice and real life situations of how this workout helps. Brittany also does a fun Boot Camps to break up boxing everyday. I've been to other classes through Class Pass and TKO is by far the most welcoming. They take newbies through a good startup class to go over all the punches and kicks. They focus 100% on form to prevent injuries making this class pretty safe for newbies. Overall, I've been getting a great workout from them and will continue to come back! They go through a third party that automatically renews your original contract without telling you and then requires a 30 day written notice to cancel. Absolute scam of a company to have your clients use The classes are short, the same thing over and over again. I felt like I was never learning anything new and was paying a ton of money for incredibly short classes with minimal progression. Unreachable. I have been trying to call to cancel my subscription for two weeks. It got to the point where I tried calling every 10 minutes. Never an answer. I left a message like the voicemail asked and never got a call back. This is the most "money first, students last" martial company I have ever seen. They truly only care about money and not actually teaching you martial arts. Incredibly disappointing.

Our 6 year old is now 11 and she loves! My middle daughter still always wants to go in and say hi even though she decided karate was not for her. The Instructors understand that there is not one style to teach and take the time to learn about your child and how they learn. I have been enrolled in the adult classes for 5 years. Not only is it a great way to get some exercise and training. I starting thinking I'd take it for fun and have discovered that I love the styles and programs they provide. Went to Mick Doyle's for a free first class based off the recommendation of a current member…read more On the advice of an employee, the hubs and I took both the beginner and intermediate boxing classes. The beginner class was more of a warmup that focused on footwork and technique and the intermediate class moved into hitting and bag work. While the trainers and workout was fantastic, about 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up by the trainer talking (no movement during this time) and one-on-one work with the first trainer. The one-on-one time was great, however, if you were not working with the trainer you were just standing around. It seems this time would be more beneficial if people were paired up to continue training while waiting for their turn with the trainer. If you are looking for a workout, you may want to just attend the beginner class. If you are looking to become more efficient and trained in boxing, both classes are probably needed. The intermediate class (at least during our visit) is just a continuation of the first class and cannot stand on its own. While the extended time was a let down, as newbies we definitely needed the break. If we were to continue on, this would probably be an issue if all classes have this amount of down time.
