Mason also is a professional boxer and gives good advice and real life situations of how this workout helps. Brittany also does a fun Boot Camps to break up boxing everyday. I've been to other classes through Class Pass and TKO is by far the most welcoming. They take newbies through a good startup class to go over all the punches and kicks. They focus 100% on form to prevent injuries making this class pretty safe for newbies. Overall, I've been getting a great workout from them and will continue to come back! He makes it fun while still making sure you keep moving forward. He teaches Hapkido, a Korean martial art, and has achieved the rank of 5th Dan. To put that in perspective, it often takes longer to move from 4th Dan to 5th Dan than it does for a beginning student to attain a black belt. True commitment and experience! I've personally witnessed him build a new student's confidence inside of a month. Several times actually. A student comes in shy, scared, hardly speaking, and within a month the student is smiling, responding, engaging, and most importantly confidently trying. It's awesome. One of the great things is that while Hapkido can certainly be powerful, it doesn't rely on strength. Rather it teaches how to use angles and circular movements to your advantage. This might be a silly example but think of how a large adult can still trip over a small child or a pet - it's not that the child or pet overpowered the adult, it's that they interfered with the adult's movement in just the right way. It took no particular effort for them to trip the adult and yet it still worked. It's a great place to learn a martial art and how to protect yourself and those you love.

We were swindled out of thousands of dollars from the owner of this school. We tried for months to…read moreresolve an issue we were having with a behavior child there that would not stop harassinh and chasing my grandaughter. It got the point she could no longer focus in any of her classes. We tried to set up alternate days with the kids mother but Master Hall wouldnt allow it. Rather than bringing us in to discuss this issue he threw a post of facebook to let everyone know he doesnt discipline children, they figure it out on there own by the time they reach black belt, which means every other child in the class has to endure it. Ultimately we were forced to leave the school so i messaged him about a refund on all the money we just handed him. I included his response in this review. He tried to tell us we owed him alot of money for private lessons. Private lessons have to be paid in advance, last week when I checked they told me I still had 12 left. We had just joined black belt club and she only completed a few month of judo, she still had about 5 months of taekwondo. We paid everything in advance cause I knew she would put everything in to this, I had no idea we were going to get swindled out of all our money. My grandaughter was up in tears over this, she put every bit of her heart and soul in these classes to just find out that we were just robbed of everything. There is no aquisations and no slander in this review. Read his post and read the response that he sent us. He is threatening that if we ever talk about his school or him he will file a restraining order. As well we are not allowed to speak to any students or staff or he will also file a restraining order. My grandaughter was crushed again when she found out she will never see her friends again. This guy is out of control, he stole our money, he ripped everything out from under my grandaughters future. There are older age classes too. There are no additional fees for testing like other places and there is a discount if you have more than one kid enrolled.
