Pro's: food is fresh. my meal didn't taste old or stale it taste like the ingredients were fresh as well. my meal traveled well and was still warm when I arrived home. I didn't get the young ladies name but she took my order for me & she was sweet. the restaurant is in a cute location. It's intertwined in a family and dog friendly park. Con's: the mexi-fries were overpriced but what can you expect when you're purchasing a meal in midtown. the fries could've had a bit more protein than what was given. I felt like it was more cheese on the fries than anything. parking also sucks so if it's during a busy time of the day you won't find parking easily.

I live…read moreoutside the city and happened to be doing some work in the city at the time and decided I wanted a dessert and this gem is what I found. THANK YOU!! The service was great as I'm a big question asking person and the owner answered all of my questions as well as helped me to place my order. They were located near one of the trails for Hermann Park, right in front of McGovern Centennial Gardens. It was a great location that was easy to find. I'm somewhat skeptical when it comes to places doing other little things like this that have a spin on something that works. Usually the spin is different but not necessarily better or even a real change. This is not that. The donut cone is actually a plus to the ice cream cone experience. It's a soft sweet thing that adds to it. Donuts in particular are something that to me are almost never as good, ie: donut burgers, but it works here. I personally enjoy a sweet donut so their donut cone is good but could actually be a little sweeter for me. They offer a split, cone and sundae with all of them including a variation of the doughcone. I ordered the Handmade DoughCone to keep things simple. The cone has a hole at the bottom but it's plugged with a strawberry to prevent leakage, which is just a bonus. The flavors of the ice cream and toppings is really part of what shined for me. I'm not sure if they make their own ice cream or not but it tasted like a good quality ice cream to me. The ice cream is a fresh vanilla bean, and I'm sure some would want more ice cream flavors but vanilla bean is one of my favorites so it's great for me. I meant to do this review a while ago so I'm not 100% on some of the toppings, but here's what I believe I had. O got either the cookie butter sauce or the strawberry dream drip sauce. It could've been both though honestly knowing me. I don't remember what the secret sauce was at the time I went there. I don't remember what the secret luxury topping was but I got the churro dust and crushed Oreos, as well as some fresh strawberries. Everything was delicious!! All of the toppings worked well together, and as I said it was all with a good ice cream. Getting to eat the doughcone along the way was just the "cherry on top" if you will. It was a good blend of soft but sturdy to hold up everything. I specifically travelled to find this place and after eating it, I can proudly say I'd travel again. Great customer service with great offerings will always be the key to earning me as a repeat customer.

I actually enjoyed both ice cream and the dough cone sitting in the shade. On that day, they were giving away toasted marshmallow. Aw so sweet. My DoughCone was in a plastic cup because I knew it will be melted by the time I get to finish the toppings. I liked the texture of the cone... it's made with dough and tasted dense like a cookie. Just shaped like a cone. I am craving it as I wrote this review. I can't wait till summer again. I will seek them out.

The elote cup was huge and affordable ($5.50). They also had a lot of chamoy candy options and ice cream that I might try another time. Service was also very quick. Also, their patio was surprisingly extensive and nice. It's gated and extends around the corner with artificial grass and lawn chairs. The weather was nice out so I really enjoyed our experience. Overall, if I'm ever near the area and need a snack, I'll be coming back here.

Something about the cream and shaved ice being blended together and the strawberries were very very fresh! The Elote was awesome as well and served in a nice portion size. The interior of the place has a nice aesthetic, but it does have a bit of a sour smell to it, which I think is normal when you work with dairy products, it's no different than if you go into a yogurt shop. Located in Levy Park as an outdoor eating bar/restaurant, Gaspachos is a good hangout treat…read more Ambiance: 4/5 Completely located outdoors in the park, you can sit at the bar or tables in the area. Bring your fur baby, they also have treats for them & the doggy park is steps away. Lively music being played. Parking is available in the Kirby Grove garage at varying prices depending your length of stay. Or on the side street in front of the park. The place does do its best to keep flies away, but sitting outside and flies smelling food it was a bit unnerving to constantly swap them away as you ate or drank. Food: 4/5 Currently (July 11-25) they have a "Latin Restaurants week" special going on, so take advantage of it! You have to order at the counter because the self order kiosks don't auto discount and it comes out to about $45. I paid half of that for all I had minus the snow cone. Michelada - 4/5 I got to choose my own favorite beer (Pacifico) the flavor was a bit simple & bland for my taste. They do have other flavors (mango tamarind) but I forgot and ordered the classic. They also have margaritas which I didn't try but I'll try because the Michelada was palpable to me. Birria Elote 3/5 - it was basically meat on top of the corn. Nothing really stood out about this. Quesa gringa 5/5 - basically quesadillas on flour tortilla. you choose your meat style, I got asada. And it comes with a side of birria consume (broth/sauce) that was very flavorful. Churros 5/5- were warm and sweet, very delicious. Everything came out at once so that was a bit overwhelming and also didn't allow to enjoy the items individually. Would've liked items to arrive with some time in between, but I get it because they want to have everything done. Snow cone 2/5 - while the syrup is good, it's crushed ice, with syrup, served in a cute container. Basically a drink. I didn't finish it. I took a couple of sips and tossed the rest. It would be 100 times better if it were finely shaved ice and not crushed. Finely shaved is fluffy, like snow and easier to eat and enjoy. I met the owner, Jennifer, very friendly and accommodating. She initially had the food truck (still has other trucks in other areas only serving food) but for Levy Park 2 years ago opened up shop. This is a good hangout and laid back spot that is opened until to 11PM on weekends. Drop in have a bite.
