After I was "done" with voice lessons (when I left for college), I took piano lessons. They also offer guitar, small group ensembles and recitals! I've worked with many staff members when I needed to switch my day/time and they are all incredible people. Jodi is very specific when hiring and won't settle for someone who isn't the right fit for the students. I would say voice lessons worked well for me. I sang at Carnegie Hall in 2018. To branch out and try to learn a few things with instruments that I have never played. One of those such instruments is the drums. And I am starting relatively from scratch, I've never played drums in my life. I already had found a vintage Ken 1602 wood/rubber practice drum pad that I remembered friends using in the past. It's great. Picked up some sticks online, but Columbus Precussion has a huge selection too if you need some. So, all I was looking for at this point was an instructional book to start me along the way of learning rudiments of rhythms, how to hold sticks properly, and some other basic skills. Things that I can work on on my own as a self-starter musician project. I found just what I needed and more at this great store. It is well-stocked with full drum kits, snares, and other specialty drums. They also have other handheld percussion instruments. Plenty of general drumming supplies, including the instructional books I needed. Once I told the friendly & knowledgeable staff what I was looking for, they were able to narrow down my choices to a couple that suited my needs. They specialize in drums and related supplies, appears to be staffed with actual drummer musicians, so they can really focus on just those needs. It was a great shopping experience.
