The tickets for last night's show were affordably priced at $10/each, we could not pass up the chance for some inexpensive laughter! We arrived to find a neighborhood bar on the first floor. Just a few bar patrons were sitting at the bar enjoying their favorite beers. They quickly assumed that we were there for the comedy show. The bartender offered to get us a round of drinks for the group. She also offered to open a tab for us. I was going to decline until I found out that the tab started at the bar on the first floor transfers up to the second floor. It is accessible on either floor. That is incredible convenience for the bar patron. We made our way up to the Venue portion of The Station. There is another bar well staffed there. The space was intimate and perfect for the comedy event. There was an ease of entering the show. We didn't have to dig or search for our tickets. They simply took our names and checked the guest list. I loved it. It was a first come, first seat yourself kind of event. We found ourselves front and center for the show. I loved the seats. I saw a group near us get a pizza delivered to their table. That is how I discovered that The Station had food. I didn't ever lay my eyes on a menu, but I could tell they had pizza and wings. The food will not WOW, but it will suffice to make sure you are not starving while enjoying your favorite beverage. The show started almost on time. As the show rolled on and the laughter roared, I noticed I needed another beer, but I was concerned about interrupting the show. I shouldn't have worried though, the awesome bartender started making her way around the crowd checking to see if she could grab anyone a drink. She took care of the guests so that they would not have to get up and distract from the comedians. It was incredible service and much appreciated. Our group of friends had the best time last night at The Station Bar & Venue. We highly suggest checking out next months comedy show presented by CBus Comedy!

Though Worthington Community Theatre has been around since 1970, and I'm from Worthington, I had…read morenever been to one of their shows until recently. A friend of mine had a role in their production of Arsenic and Old Lace, and a group of us came out to see the show. I was impressed with the professionalism of the show and their execution of the play. From reading the program, it was clear that the actors varied in age and experience, and it was interesting to see how they came together to put on a wonderful show. I'll definitely not let 30 years go by before attending another play from my hometown community theater!

Their lead instructor, Emily, is one of the few female instructors in the area who has the credentials to compete at the professional open level and can compete with student partners in all four ballroom styles. But what makes Emily truly unique among the local instructors is that she's just as accomplished with club dances like salsa, bachata, and west coast swing, and can even teach dances that are harder to come by such as Argentine tango, kizomba, and urban kiz (the best dance, of course ;P). Basically, Emily is the most credentialed and well-rounded dance instructor in the area, and whatever your dance goals may be, she can at least get you started in the right direction.

Since then, he has performed at 5 whole school performances and a handful of smaller group gigs. He has learned enough bass guitar skills to pick up additional songs by himself, at home. He was inspired to try singing, as well as electric and accoustic guitars, drums, and keyboard. His self confidence has increased, as well as his ability to work with a large group of peers. It was getting within a week of the date and I still didn't get a confirmation. I called the place AT LEAST 12 times and sent 2 emails and still no response, because the mailbox was full and nobody ever answered the phone. Since I was bringing 8 people, I needed to confirm. So I drove to the place (which was supposed to be open, but was closed) and left a note, written on a napkin (saying PLEASE CALL AND CONFIRM) and placed it under a rock in front of the door. I spent at least an hour, if not more, trying to confirm this party. After the note, I finally got a phone call. NO APOLOGIES for the inconvenience were given. The person just said that there phones weren't working. Additionally, the painting instructor was very kind, but young and NOT VERY INSTRUCTIVE. She said, "Paint flowers at the bottom." Well, I want to know HOW to paint flowers! My painting looked like a 5 year old. When I went to another studio in Worthington about a year ago, I left with a beautiful painting because the instructor gave us all very detailed instructions and SHOWED us how to paint, instead of TELLING us what to paint. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

The office staff are friendly, follow up promptly, and take care of what's needed. The teachers genuinely like children and are well trained in working with each age group - these aren't just professional dancers doing what they can to pay the bills while they wait for their big break (a relatively common phenomena in the dance school world). The music they dance to is fun and engaging and they offer a broad range of classes, most offered at different days and times throughout the week. Makeup classes are easy to schedule. It's easy to observe classes through one-way windows and there's enough that you don't have parents crowding around one limited viewing area. Another factor that was important to me was that the class dress code and recital costumes were age appropriate. No bare midriffs.

I had a keyboard repair needed so I brought it here. Jared was super helpful in looking at the…read moreissue and telling me the process for repairs and how it would have to be sent out to their technician. He then called me not even an hour later and said he had fixed the problem himself which saved me $60+. I also lost the power cord to the keyboard and Jared took lots of time to try to find a similar one. He ended up not being able to find one just because the brand of my keyboard isn't well known. They also have lessons for different instruments which I might look into here soon!
