Overview: good food for a good price. Clean restaurant with friendly staff. I grew up in Marion and every time I come back to town this is a must have! Not only is it a treat to reminisce, the food is good too! I have enjoyed just about everything on the menu, but my favorite thing to get is a burger. Plain and simple but they do it well. Not only that you get to choose your size and make it a single or a double! That's a lot of customization! I also love their buffalo wings! I really want to support this restaurant because the food is good, but this has become a recurring issue. The menu advertises meat and vegetable plates being available daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. However, every time I come in around 6:30-7:00 p.m., I'm told those items are no longer available because they've already been put away. To make it even more frustrating, I checked the online ordering app before I came in, and it clearly showed the meat and vegetable plates were still available to order. After arriving, I was told they couldn't make one because everything had already been put away. There are plenty of fried food options available, which is great if that's what you want. But for those of us who can't eat fried foods or simply prefer the meat and vegetable plates, it's disappointing to make the trip only to find out they won't prepare what's advertised on the menu. It gives the impression that the staff simply doesn't want to take the time to make those meals that late in the evening. This has happened on multiple occasions, so it doesn't seem like a one-time issue. If the meat and vegetable plates are regularly unavailable before 8:00 p.m., then the restaurant should either update its advertised hours and online ordering or continue serving them until the posted closing time. I was excited to stop back in for lunch after having a really great first experience here. It has a classic hometown diner feel with food that matches the decor. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. When we arrived, there was a table of four who had already eaten and were just sitting and talking. We stood at the counter for about 10 minutes, even called out toward the kitchen, but no one ever came out. As we were leaving, we spoke with a gentleman outside, and I noticed another customer go in. Over the 20 minutes we stood there talking, that person was still at the counter as well. I don't know if they had been helped already or not, so I don't want to assume, but from what I saw, there didn't seem to be any staff present. It's disappointing because I really enjoyed my first time here. The food was good and the staff were very kind. For the price this food is not great. Our burgers were under cooked and the response we received when mentioning it was incredibly rude. It's also kind of a dirty place. Driving by you kind of expect it will not be immaculate, but they don't even try. Maybe that's the vibe the owner is going for. read more

Great service and wonderful food. I highly recommend. The food was so delicious. We had the vanilla ice cream, chicken tenders, crinkled fries, hamburger, sweet potato fries and the honey mustard dipping sauce. The food came out quickly and was hot! Nice local eatery. I was a little surprised no one was wearing masks, and it was fairly busy. But I took a table away from folks. Ordered the Catfish plate, fried. The Catfish was very good and cook perfectly. The cole slaw was the way I like it, large shreds, and tangy. Fries were fries. The staff was very friendly. The BEST. I always come here on vacation when I go up to see the future in-laws. Almost always we stop here because the quality of the food is high to me. I never walk away hungry because the portions are good and I never walk away unsatisfied because they have people that can actually cook. My husband and I travel a lot with work, we ended up in Marion on business, I love this town, the people are so nice not to mention the dip! I love this place we've gone to eat here so far three times and every time we've both gotten something different and they never fail us. Breakfast is prob the best in town!! Always enjoy it ! Fried chicken with veggies for lunch is always good too. Friendly staff . Usually pretty busy with customers, which is a good sign. There are not that many hamburger stands in Marion and this is a country location at the edge of the curve on the Sturgis Highway. About three to five years ago this place underwent some remodeling and the place still has that country charm. Parking is on their lot. There is a walk up window that may be open sometimes---never was when we were there. You order at the front counter and you meal is prepared in the next few minutes or in our case this last time 25 minutes. Have to say the service was very slow however it was Friday night and the local high school was playing football at home. We ordered the large hamburgers fixed with all the trimmings plus french fires. They will call you when you order is ready and you pay at that time. The hamburgers were very good as were the french fires. Prices are reasonable.Look for the daily special that should be listed on a stand up sign just outside the front door. read more
