You're in luck; you've stumbled onto a great tip when filing a homeowner's insurance claim, and…read moreI've got just the right person to send you to. I heard about claim adjusters when I saw broadcasts about Floridians' homes destroyed by flood and Texans' homes hit by tornadoes. I thought insurance adjusters only exist to represent the insurance companies, but I found out YOU can hire what's called a "Public Adjuster" to represent you to the insurance company and advocate on your behalf for the best possible outcome for the policy you have. You don't pay up front. It's like an injury attorney, they take a fee from what they collect for you. On YouTube you can watch public adjusters give lectures, to groups of people who've gone thru natural disasters, on the process of filing claims, but you can hire your very own. When you hire a public adjuster, they'll read your policy, contact the insurance adjuster and start negotiating with them on your behalf. You can get back to picking up the pieces. A public adjuster understands this and the legalese of these policies. I'll bet you don't even have the full copy of your policy. I didn't realize that I didn't have it either. Your insurance company will send you to a website for you to download it and when you delve into it, you'll realize how much help you need comprehending it. How can you debate or negotiate with the insurer if you don't know the benefits and mandatory requirements to gain a return? You don't have to go it alone and you will not find a more professional, competent, knowledgeable or capable person than Public Adjuster, Juliana Castro-CPAU. Go to her website and read for yourself. You won't find another Public Adjuster's site as informative or as clearly written as hers either. That's how she works. She takes the time to explain things and shows you how the process works. I am a very satisfied customer. She's been an absolute God send to our family when we had a homeowners sewer problem. If she can't help you, she'll tell you. What can it hurt to have a consultation? And Good luck.

I initially deleted my review because I felt bad, but I feel compelled to accurately review them. I…read morecurrently live in a historic home and wanted my front door restored. The communication was challenging. It was difficult to narrow down specific times for them to get the work done and they were never proactive about reaching out for updates on the progress of the project. It took over 3 months to actually complete the project, with constant confusion over who was the correct contact person. I thought they did a good job initially, however within 1 month, the door had already cracked in three places. After spending close to $3000 for their work, I am fairly disappointed in the final product and the overall process.

After the hurricane or big wind of October 2012, my roof suffered considerable shingle loss and I…read morehad to have the roof replaced. These guys presented a complete estimate indicating just what needed to be done and why. I decided on using them and they did a professional job and provided detailed pictures of the work being done so I would have visual evidence for my insurance company. I recommend them. They do accept credit cards but pass on the four percent charge to customers. And they take checks. One thing you also need to understand, all of this was done basically by remote control. I left for FL to have an operation and these guys kept me updated. You might think there is better but I doubt it. So pleased. Added a few photographs of work being completed. You can see the job being done. My insurance adjuster was surprised that a company provided their client ongoing photographic proof of the job being done. And just had them back and their estimate to do additional work on garage beat the competition. (June 2015)

Their attention to detail and commitment to communication stood out throughout the project. They identified and promptly fixed a damaged chimney, showing their proactive problem-solving skills. The result is a beautiful space; their exceptional workmanship makes every penny spent worthwhile. What sets Rodyben7 apart is its dedication to both quality and affordability. Their pricing is fair, especially considering the excellent work they deliver. I appreciated their transparent communication, and they kept me updated at every step. I couldn't be happier with the final product, and I highly recommend Rodyben7 to anyone needing construction or renovation services. Their expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. As time goes by, I will continue to work with them, and I assure you will as well. I have also included pictures of before and after so you can see the level of work these masters can do. As I work with them in the future, I will update my post.

Because it's rare to have an amazing experience when you must do unexpected home improvement, I…read morethink when it does happen, a review is warranted. We needed a new roof. Ours was leaking into the attic, things were not good. We did the responsible thing and received 3 different quotes: the first was a smooth talker. Nice guy, had his presentation dialed in. And at the end I could see why. $$$$. I'm sure they are a great company, I personally felt like I was paying for the gorgeous powerpoint presentation and slick sales pitch as much as a new roof. The second company I'll get to in a minute, The third had such an ego that any time I asked a question it was met with an obvious "look lady, I'm the roofer, just trust me" attitude. Well, that didn't go far with me. Or my husband as we both like to be pretty involved in all decisions of home improvement - we like to know what we're paying for, we know the materials we wanted to use, and how we wanted things done. So that guy was out. Okay back to the second company, the one we went with: Rodyben7 roofing. Super straight shooter, down to earth owner who explained everything, gave us a solid, fair, competitive quote, put up with the few changes and many many questions my husband and I both had, and because of all this we decided this was our guy. The work was flawless. He showed up with his team on time, got to work, and finished the same day, including cleanup. The roof looks beautiful, the gutters seamless and installed with ease, the whole team friendly and pleasant, and the communication throughout the day great (we received many pictures as things progressed). They even did a few extra at no cost things that were small, but needed to be done while they were up there. AND they put roof ties into the new roof so the next person who must climb up there has a safety latch to attach to. A Monsoon hit a few days later and everything worked great. I'm super happy. It was so stress-free and exactly like we were quoted and explained. Nothing hidden, nothing extra. And the team consists of men and women - which I love. Would hire again if I had another roof to install. I'll happily update this review in a year to report if things are still looking strong. Highly recommend.

I will…read moretry to keep the review concise - but this experience has taught me the value of reaching out and trusting a public adjuster when dealing with a substantial insurance claim. Our 2 family in Park Slope suffered substantial water damage after freezing temperatures caused an uninsulated water pipe along an external wall to freeze and burst. We documented the damage with videos and photos and various receipts. Our insurance company first tried to dissuade me from filing the claim. They later did make an offer after inspections etc. However, after consulting with David we trusted him to manage the communications and negotiations. I sent him all my photos and receipts and was able to limit the time, worry, stress and interaction with our insurance company. And we ended up with approximately triple the amount that they initially offered us. The fee that we paid Rubin & Rosen was money well spent. Also, the renovation work took much longer than expected. We had a delay of 7 months waiting for DOB approval for the work in our home. The water damage led us to discover the home's wooden beam foundation needed to be removed and replaced with poured concrete foundation, etc. The insurance claim is usually paid out and liquidated within a 12 month period but with the DOB permit delay, the delay in construction because of stop work orders during Covid 19 in NY in 2020, and issues during construction, it took us over 12 months. David helped us throughout! He made sure we were able to claim the full amount. Also, his calm and rational approach to the property damage and managing the insurance claim turned a nightmare into something manageable. I had also received help and support from his colleague Beth -- I highly recommend their firm and these specific professionals!

Yelp review for Dave…read more In this day and age having insurance is a necessity, whether it's medical, auto, home, life insurance, etc., and one rarely gives it much thought beyond that. The expectation is generally that as long as one has insurance coverage, then you and/or your property are protected. And that is exactly how we viewed it, right up to the day that we actually needed to use our property insurance. That's when we realized just how convoluted the entire claims process can be. That unfortunate day came to our family one February morning when our house caught fire due to an accidental electrical shortage, the flames having engulfed not only our personal belongings, but also destroying significant portions of our long-lived home. We were, however, fortunate that no one in our family was harmed and that within 15 minutes the local firefighters were able to quickly control the fire. However, as it dawned on us that our home was covered in soot, drenched with water, and suffering from significant structural damage, feelings of loss and confusion began to overwhelm us. To say the least, we had no idea how to proceed over the coming days with beginning the process of restoration. This is when Dave from Rubin & Rosen Adjusters introduced himself and quickly became our guiding light through the entire claims process. His calm, professional, and confident demeanor provided much needed comfort and clarity during a time of immense confusion. He concisely explained his role in navigating the world of insurance claims and how we could most effectively determine the extent of the insurance company's liability. Things didn't always make sense at the time, but it was clear from the outset that this was someone who was actually on OUR side, representing us and our needs to the best of his abilities as we sought to reap the maximum benefits provided by the insurance that we had been diligently paying for over the years. During Dave's investigation, he helped us discover the reach and associating limits of our existing insurance coverage. Upon receiving an estimate for the damages from our insurance company, our immediate thoughts gravitated to why the number appeared so low, in our opinion. But thanks to Dave's expertise, he knew exactly how to probe the damages estimate and fight to get us the full claims benefits that we were entitled to. He was with us every step of the way, personally handling all claims matters, and would even drop by to visit us to ensure that things were proceeding smoothly. Now even more than a year later, Dave continues to speak on our behalf with continuing claims and support us every step of the way. Dave and his entire team have our utmost gratitude for their ongoing support, and it is our pleasure to recommend them to anyone who needs help navigating the murky waters of the insurance claims process and reaching a fair and equitable settlement.
