We we're immediately greeted and instructed on how to order our food as we had never been here before. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They came by a few times to check on us and make sure we had drink refills and anything else we needed. The food was great too. We ordered the Amistad and 830 Kitchen burgers and they were both really good. We also got the carne asada fries and those were *chef's kiss.* Our little ones ordered sliders and chicken strips and we got no complaints from them, only empty plates. The restaurant was really nice too. I commented to my husband how I always enjoy dining in restaurants where special care is taken into the décor and ambiance. Music was playing at a pleasant volume and the restaurant and restrooms were very clean. There's also a really nice outdoor patio with a few tables and lights strung from the ceiling, which is always a plus. I highly recommend 830 Kitchen. First, this place is just off of Main St, so it's easy to miss. So, use your GPS ... because you really don't want to miss this gem of a spot! If it's your first time here, ask for a menu and find a table, outside seating is awesome too. When you're ready, go to the counter and place your order and pay. They offer soda, iced teas, and beer for beverages. I thoroughly enjoyed the 830 burger, substituted the tomato with pico with a side of fries. Wow! Wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did ... it was juicy, hot, and delicious. The service was amazing! They checked on us multiple times, grabbed additional drinks and allowed us to pay for the extras when we were done eating. The staff is pleasant, professional a attentive. The restaurant is very clean, delightful & a great find. It's our new go-to off the beaten path. I continue to introduce my friends to this cute place. It's an hour long vacation to Cancun. That's how refreshing, interesting, and modern the decor is. These people know how to make good food and so far have continued to surprise me. I ordered their grilled chicken breast wrap. The seasonings on the chicken would make Colonel Sanders jealous. It was great. And i usually don't bother eating fries which accompany my meals but they had put some kind of lemony, citrusey seasoning and enough of it that i ate every one of them. Great food! Came from Uvalde to shop and eat. Saw this place on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. Best decision we made all day. The owner and manager were very friendly & efficient. The best part tho was the food, it was excellent. Had the house burger & fries and the wife had the green chili burger & fries. They were the best burgers I believe we have ever eaten.
