Humble Baron - Nashville Hot Shrimp and Grits with Cheddar, Mild, and Sharp Cheese

After finishing our tour at Nearest Green Distillery, a stop at Humble Baron was a must. You cannot…read morevisit the property without seeing the longest bar in the world, and it truly lived up to the hype. The bar is absolutely beautiful. The design is stunning, the game was on, and the music set the tone perfectly. The playlist was culture forward with hip hop, R&B, and soul, but not played at a party level. It was just loud enough to enjoy the music while still being able to relax and take in the space. Allisha took great care of us and was attentive and pleasant throughout our visit. For drinks, I ordered the French 95. I am usually a French 75 girl, but when in Tennessee, Tennessee whiskey is the obvious choice. The French 95 was delicious and very reasonably priced. For food, I ordered the smoked wings and fries, and both were excellent. The wings were a solid 10 out of 10 with great flavor, and the fries were just as good and paired perfectly with the drink. Overall, Humble Baron was an amazing experience. Between the atmosphere, music, service, drinks, and food, this is a place I will absolutely be returning to.

Food is amazing as always! They did cut the menu down a lot, and down to about 5-6 food items. But…read morethe fish and grits, burger is still amazing!

Common John always impresses me. In a small town, this is not just a brewery, but a restaurant and…read morea community hangout. I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.

I love Mediterranean food, and this seemed to be my closest option. And I'm so happy that it was. My volcano plate (chicken and gyros with onions and peppers) was fantastic. The meats were tender and flavorful. The pita was soft and delicious. The plate was absolutely stacked. The meal was exactly what I needed. The family that runs the place (I think they're a family) are also so kind and eager to please. So 5 stars for the service as well. Ramsey Grill doesn't look like much from the outside. It's unassuming and easy to miss. But make no mistake. The food is well worth the stop.

It was our anniversary so we decided to splurge. Appetizer -Fried green tomatoes. Good, but a little lacking in something. The tortilla chicken soup was more like a delicious chip dip than a soup, but we enjoyed it immensely. Seasonal cocktails, expensive but TASTY! Note, wine list is very short, and could use more mid range wines. Tip, pay the $2 to upgrade your brussel sprouts. Easily the best thing I had, well except for dessert. Salmon was amazing, and the corn had such a lovely char flavor. Can't go wrong with mashed potatoes, the plate was perfect. The rib eye was very good. The garlic green beans were also good. But the Brussel sprouts! A must try. As mentioned, it was our anniversary, and they brought us a dessert gratis. Super kind. Before we ordered, our server had mentioned the ice cream sandwich was to die for, so we also ordered that. It...was...to die for. Another must have. We live about 2 hours away, but I'm looking forward to coming back when the seasonal menu changes.

Only downside was there was no bread to sop up the delicious jus. My husband had the Caesar salad and I had the lobster bisque. He was happy with his salad but I could not eat the bisque as it was way too salty. It also had no identifiable lobster. We both had the surf and turf (steak plus shrimp) and it was perfectly prepared. Mashed potatoes were great. Brussels sprouts were slightly overdone. Dessert was the chocolate dessert and it was also delicious. Our server Leo kept our alcohol at perfect dining levels. We love this restaurant.
