This was my first and likely last order from this pizza place. Last Saturday, I ordered a 24 inch carry out pizza with 4 extra toppings. The pizza was really large, which was great and it did have extra cheese as requested. The crust was as expected and did not have options to add garlic butter or any other flavors to it so it was dry and burnt on one side. As far additional toppings go at 1.75 each, I did not feel we got our money's worth. A green pepper, for example, costs $.79 at the grocery. I'd estimate we got about 2 tbsp of a green pepper. The onions were also lacking as were the rest of the toppings. If someone is willing to pay for extra toppings then put some toppings on the pizza! The taste of the pizza was good, but I think Dominoes and Hometown pizza offer much more flavor, toppings, value and variety for the cost. We also ordered some blackened chicken Alfredo, which cost around $14. Not only was the chicken not black, dark or otherwise but there wasn't much of it. We got a portion that I did not feel warranted the price. A full box of pasta costs about $2 at the grocery. Why be cheap on the quantity of the pasta? Overall, we paid $50 for this order. This location needs to re-evaluate their strategy and offer customers better value for their money. I was not impressed. read more

I have eaten there several times, and also picked up orders to take home. The restaurant is always clean, and a shout out to their manager Kayleigh. She always greets us, and gives 110%. All of the pizzas that I have tried have been good. I have enjoyed their wings as well. My personal favorite is the sweet Thai bone in wings. The deep fried banana peppers are very good as an appetizer. I like the fact that they serve Pepsi products as well. I would recommend trying this local establishment. read more

Great pizza for a little joint in a small town! We stop at this place on our drive from Louisville and I was a little nervous because it was kind of the middle of nowhere in my opinion. It was also 4pm not Normal eating hours but what a great joint! We enjoyed a couple pizzas and salad with drinks. Simple but filling! Loved the crust and how well they made it. Service was outstanding and the restrooms pretty clean. I'm a bit of a clean freak which is why I look at the restrooms. If you can't keep those clean it makes me question the kitchen. When they first opened the pizza was the best around. You would literally had to go to New York to find better. But, sadly no longer. Its not bad, but something major has changed. Can I tell you how excited we were to see a "local" pizza shop pop up in little ole Georgetown? We are kind of new to the area and have been sad that there aren't as many dining options as we were used to. 812 is centrally located, rarely too busy and offers a really nice atmosphere for a quick night out with the family. The prices are a little higher than you would expect for a pizza shop. Rarely do we get out without spending $50 or more. It is a little disappointing to note that just because it is on the menu, does not mean the wait staff knows about it or that it is actually available. It seems that every time we go in there anymore one of us will order something that we had a few weeks prior, only to be told "oh we don't have that anymore". They also don't have a lot of options for kids drinks - we try not to give the kids in our families sodas or chocolate milk ... but 812 basically only offers white milk, chocolate milk and sodas for kids. It's really a shame that they can't get an Apple juice or something (especially considering they have a bar ...) We will probably keep going, but also will likely continue to be disappointed. read more

We stopped here one night on our way to the drive in down the road, and it was a pleasant surprise! We live in Louisville, but still make the trip to go here as it is now one of our favorite pizza places. The price for pizza here is very reasonable in my opinion, cheaper than other places we have tried, and tastes better! Love that smoked gouda is a topping option! Follow them on social media for even better deals! Drinks can be a little pricey, but like I said certain nights they with have deals, and you definitely get your money's worth. Super excited to have a good, local pizza joint close to home that also serves craft beers (not just basic domestic). It's like having a small taste of The Highlands in the super tiny city of Georgetown. We ate The Beau pizza which was surprisingly delicious, considering I typically do not care for meatballs on pizza or thin crust. The balls were made with good quality meat & seasoned just right. All the toppings were freshly made. Really enjoyed the Italian spices they used on pizza. The crust seemed a bit well done but again, I usually get thick crust if option. Had a Two Hearted Ale to drink & my boyfriend had 5 Rabbit Ironica IPA. Beau himself greeted us & explained he is trying to get a more diverse beer menu with porters, stouts, etc. Mostly IPAs are offered right now, which I happen to be a fan of so it works for me! read more

A new pizza place! It's nice and open inside and they have the most beautiful oven you can watch your pizza cook. The cheese on the pizza is pretty great. I'm not sure if they make it there or not, but they do make their own sausage in house. The pizza is New York style, which is not my favorite type of pizza but they still mAde it taste good! They offer other options there are apps, pasta, and calzones. I'm might try the pasta next time. read more

Visited for first time . Inside is a large area with large booths and tables everywhere. I thought it has a neat look too it and felt comfortable. Very clean and large tvs on walls for customers enjoyment! We were craving pizza and decided to try the large Finns Double pepperoni! The large was crazy large and plenty for 3-4 to eat till stuffed! The pizza came out looking amazing. Crust was a medium thick golden brown color and it bordered the delicious cheese and pepperoni covering the pizza . This was some of the best pizza I have had lately. You could tell it's fresh ingredients and I liked it a lot! Sauce was a thin sweeter style but was a compliment to the spicy pepperoni. Overall staff was great, attentive and even thanks us for coming which is always a plus in my book! We have ordered pizza from this company in the past (before covid) so we knew the quality and quantity of their product was excellent. However, a recent order placed online with 812 Pizza did not go well at all. A 6 topping, 20" pizza was ordered and party cut was specified (2-3" squares) but pizza was cut into pie wedges. They cut the wedges down by slicing across them after I went inside to complain. I accepted this quick "fix" as I did not have time to wait on a new pizza. Making the situation worse, the quantity of all six toppings was very sparse and the entire pizza was dried out from overcooking. We tried 812 Pizza after friends mentioned how good it is and we used to enjoy it. This will most likely be our last pizza from them because at $30 for a 6 topping 20" party cut pizza, we could have had a couple of reliable Pizza Hut pizzas. read more

I generally try to be an understanding guy when it comes to dining out OR carryout. You have to roll with the punches, people mistakenly blame a wait-person for kitchen error or negligence, or kitchen for waiter input. And so on. You've got to be patient. Note that in the photos others have attached the crusts are all brick-oven browned, with those "burned" bits on the edges none of us consider burned at all, just par for the course for a brick oven pizza. NONE of that has been my experience either time at 812, either dining in, or doing carryout. The first time (dine-in) my son and I ate there, and the appetizers were good. Our pizza, however, was quite doughy and soft, and portions of the crust weren't crust yet, still just dough. Not in that "could use a couple minutes more" way; just uncooked. Happy as we were with the appetizers, our pizza was just unsatisfying because of this. We both noted that the toppings were good quality, and made note of it with our waitress. As for ourselves, having filled up on apps we decided to take our leftovers, perhaps reheat them, see if it helped at home. It didn't, and we just dropped the enthusiasm -- and so forgot about 812. Fast forward two years. A couple of days ago a friend on Facebook posted something from 812, a post they'd done asking for help from the local community in keeping their doors open. I HATE to see any business go under, especially a local business. Also, I always like to give a place another chance. As I said at the beginning, you've got to roll with stuff. My son and I discussed it, recalled that the toppings were good but the crust was the problem, and that we'd enjoyed the apps -- so 812 it was, this time with a carry-out order. If anything, I try to be even more understanding when it comes to carryout. There's time, moisture with hot products, food getting cold, etc. Unfortunately, the visit did NOT pay off, this time with my spouse involved in the evaluation process. On the phone I asked specifically for my pizzas and all bread products to be well-done based on our earlier visit, PLEASE make sure the crust is thoroughly cooked, we like crust a lot and want it nice and DONE! The person taking our order assured us she'd pass it on. Our pizza crust was browned... -ISH on the sides, and quite pale and limp beneath. Even bearing in mind that this was carry-out, it was just a no-go. Disappointment all around, and hardly any pizza eaten at all. I plan to try and reheat today using a good foil method, plus brushing the bottom with olive oil, just so all that money doesn't go to waste. Yes, left alone it was (and would be) that bad, all based on the crust. The cheese appears to be a quality product, I don't know about the rest. Two bites in I was left with the thought "This is not enjoyable. I can't do this." I had, however, already eaten the "5-cheese" manicotti. I have one left, and I bloody challenge anybody to show me five cheeses in that dish. There was definitely ricotta, the most pasty, bland ricotta I have ever eaten, bar none. I have gotten far greater satisfaction from Lean Cuisine or Stouffers freezer meals than from 812's manicotti. There were a couple of patches of mozzarella atop the sauce, small ones. If there were three other cheeses involved (I make a LOT of Italian at home, and spend a lot of time analyzing cheese), I don't know where they were. The ricotta had nothing else mixed in, and was a cheap product -- surprising, given that all the mozzarella I encountered seemed like good stuff. There was no saltiness from any parmesan, no "anything else detectable" from some other cheese substance. Although I won't be going back to 812, IF I were I would definitely not be ordering the manicotti. The mozzarella wedges may be a freezer brand, or may be made in-house; either way, they taste precisely like the cheese sticks from Dennys, great for drunks and late-night munchies, not fulfilling in the least for a customer who believes they're getting something special from a place that cares. The mushrooms are no longer part of the menu. We were disappointed, because two years ago those were fantastic. Today -- I suppose it would be the flip of a coin. Who knows? I will say this one positive: the sauce (for dipping the wedges, and MAYBE on the pizza, still don't know) was absolutely fantastic in both texture and flavor. Not a salsa-style pizza sauce, too thick and chunky; and not a runny, watery sauce, too thin. When it comes to their sauce (again, the DIPPING, can't speak yet for the pizza), they've definitely landed in the Goldilocks zone. We won't be returning. I've been down this road with a restaurant or two in the past, and there's no sense in wasting my gas or money. I believe in promoting and supporting local, but I don't OWE them anything beyond money for satisfactory product and service, or honesty and courtesy (positive or negative) as a customer. The fried pickles were good as was the sweet tea..the waitress and GM really wanted me to enjoy my visit. And as much as I want to give this a better review the truth is this: I just didn't care much for the pizza. I've had chicago- and New York-style pizzas. There was no one at the front desk to tell us where to go when picking our pizzas up so we walked further into the store and some blonde chick working rudely told us to go back to the front desk and waved her hands down at us instead of nicely telling us where to go, which none of this would have actually happened if someone was at the front desk like they were supposed to be. Great pizza spot! The crust is better in this huge italian pizza oven they use in the kitchen than anywhere around. Love the variety of toppings, but you have to try their homemade meatballs, even on the pizza. Simply amazing. They also have great pasta, very kid-friendly menu and mini arcade with games to help keep them occupied. Lots of tvs all around, a great spot when college football or college basketball is going on for dinner. Prices are super reasonable too. read more

Just moved back from Arizona after 17 years, and let me tell you Southern Indiana.....I am sooo glad things have changed when it comes to the types of food options there are now. This place is amazing, the pizza is top notch, they have booze infused shakes, and their appetizers are fantastic. Love the different types of pizza they have, thin crust style, big options with the toppings, and the minute you bite into it you'll hear angels singing. My feince went and payed $50.00 and some change for pizza take out. Went home just to find a rubberband full of hair in the pizza box on the pizza. How gross first off, secondly we took the pizza back, and got the run around about haveing one of the owners get ahold of us about the situation. A month and a half later nothing has been done except we have been called liars and hung up on by staff and cussed and called names by one of the owners. All we wanted was our money back. I've been to more than 40 pizza joints in greater Louisville and this one is in the top 15. We started with breadsticks and beer cheese, then had "The Beau" for dinner. The breadsticks were excellent, but the beer cheese? Well, let me answer my question with a question... where's the beer? As for the pizza, the crust and cheese are top notch. In fact, the cheese is the best in Louisville, IMHO. The sauce... wait, was there any sauce? I couldn't even taste it, so I'm not sure it was there. In other words, it was more than underwhelming. Last but not least, I must comment on the meatballs. These should be renamed "meatloaf balls". As another reviewer said, they are too moist. I didn't understand the comment until I bit into one and felt the texture for myself. I think you'll agree that it's not a good thing to "feel" a meatball instead of taste it. After a few bites, I finally figured out that I was eating meatloaf and that was it for me...I picked the rest off.
