We went here on Father's Day with family which included 11 people. We got there around noon and it looked like a lot of people arrived at the same time as us and we could tell the staff was stressed about it, they started out kind of short and off putting but as time went they settled in and gave average service. Over all wasn't bad. The place had a small business feel inside not commercials all. Only complaint we had with the inside is every table was sticky and had to wipe down with wipes we had with us. But the reason we are here is how was the food. We ordered a few appetizers, we got pretzels and beer cheese. The pretzel bread was a bit tough but the beer cheese was phenomenal. We had some buffalo wings and they were cooked well and crispy and a decent sauce. The cheese sticks were good but super greasy, they had a cup of dipping sauce sitting in the middle of it and you could see a very large pool of grease all over the top of it. For pizzas we a supreme, the goat, and a veggie supreme. All pizzas were great and everyone was very pleased. The only criticism I could give the pizza is on the goat it has a blend of cheeses including goat cheese and that blend made it a bit grainy feeling while eating so I could see some people not enjoying the texture. I originally would have gave this 3 stars but the pizza did really please us and I feel the pizza deserves the 4 stars. read more

Not the greatest experience. I ordered for a pick up for a personal pizza and fried pickles. The total seemed a little high, but whatever. When I arrived, I received my receipt and compared to the online menu; it wasn't the same. The online menu shows lower pricing. The food was not great. The fried pickles were barely fried and not worth the $9 I paid for them. I was also given the incorrect pizza and was not aware until I arrived home. Smiling friendly faces eager to help. The food here is quite tasty. I had an 8-in meat lover and substituted ham instead of ground beef. Absolutely scrumptious. Stop! Yes, you want to go here! My wife and I are crazy about pizza and we have eaten at some pretty stellar places, and this one is on our list of top 10. One of the things that makes 812 stand out so much is that they use whole milk mozzarella on their pizza, if you haven't had a pizza with this kid of offering stop questioning it and just go. Whole milk has the cheesiest, creamiest toping on any pizza you will ever have. Most plan cheese pizza could fall flat but the way whole milk mozzarella holds on its own you'll be perfectly fine with just cheese. On our visit we went with the meatball and double pepperoni. I didn't care for the meatball as it was a little soggy (but did taste great a few days after when I took it home) I gave them the tip of crisping up their meatballs before adding them to the pizza but they didn't seam to care much and that's fine to each is own but I won't be ordering that pizza again. Will I be back? Oh you better believe it! On to the pepperoni! First of all if your aren't the biggest fan of pepperoni don't even look at this pizza it's covered in these little guys and just begging to be eaten. I would say it's a combination between the natural pepperoni and whole milk mozzarella that creates this harmony of juices and flavors you won't find anywhere else, unless it's here. I give this place 4 stars and not 5 only because the soggy meatballs (I get it there meatballs) and the sauce that I found to be a little bland and had to add a little seasoning. Asked for BBQ sauce to go with a chicken tender basket, and they dumped the sauce on top of the fries. Sauce should've been on the side. Stopped in here on my way home from a road trip on a Sunday afternoon. The stuffed mushrooms and pickles were both great appetizers. The buffalo chicken pizza was really good also, but my son asked for no onions. What was really cool of them is they offered to cook the onions for me and put them on the side so I took the offer. It was almost the same as being cooked on it. Nice artwork around the restaurant, quick friendly service. Some good craft beer selection as well. read more

This is actually the second time I have ate here. The first time was a few years ago when it was new. I wasn't impressed. Today we decided to eat here on whim. We were greeted by Dawn, who was extremely gracious and a great waitress. Granted it was slow, but I don't know why. The food was excellent. We started out with the pretzel and beer cheese. The cheese had a stronger beer taste than I have had in some time. Which pushed into great territory, all of us loved it. My wife knew she couldn't eat a complete order, so she ordered the kids spaghetti. She was a very good girl and cleaned her plate, was some what wishing she had the bigger but she was glad she decided on the smaller portion. My girls ordered a 14 inch pepperoni and had it split into one side with bacon the other with peppers. They loved theirs. They all liked the cheese bread. I went with a the meatball sandwich. It was very good. The star of my plate was the fries. Think the McDonald's before they changed what they changed their oil. They were crispy, salted very well and plenty! We've given them several chances since... as a Harrison Co resident we really want to support local and see them succeed. But, we just can't anymore. It is over priced. I had heard great things about this new pizza joint from several people I know. I must say that I was very impressed! I'm usually a New York style of pizza fan, but this one was more along the lines of a Wick's style as far as thickness. We got the 14" with 4-6 toppings, that was plenty of food for my wife and I, plus our 2 year old. It was probably the cheapest date I've had in years! After tax, the pizza (and waters) was $14 and some change. WOW. The service was top notch as well. They were relatively busy, as I've hear it has remained since opening, but we had the pizza to our table in what seemed a mere matter of minutes. Great addition to an area with few food choices. Went on a Sunday night around 6:30. Place was fairly full. We were seated promptly. Server was quick to take our order though was not knowledgeable about beers on tap or type of sauce or contents of the lasagna. By appearances, he was probably a minor thus no experience in the liquor department, which is understandable and commendable so no big deal. He might want to get better aquainted with menu items beyond the Pizza. Food was piping hot and delivered promptly. Chicken wings were appropriately crisp and flavorful. Italian Salad was good, though would suggest the addition of cheese to it - feta or mozzarella. Definitely liked the Creamy Italian dressing over the oil and vinegar version. Lasagna was good but honestly not very flavorful. It's definitely not as good as Wicks and fairly pricey if you want to add items like onions, sausage, or mushrooms. Might consider free addition of one item or lowering price; otherwise, the dish loses some of its character as many of these are part of traditional lasagna. Dollie was a nice touch. The inside decor is industrial. High metal ceilings make it quite loud and difficult to converse at times. Luckily tables weren't on top of each other or filled to capacity as noise level and lack of privacy could detour us. There's a small arcade room and multiple TVs on the walls. Open concept kitchen. Upon exiting we asked about a notation on our receipt about "earning points" from our purchase. The hostess didn't know anything about any program so we're still not sure on the correlation as she handed us a sheet with social media links and told us maybe it was on a site. It wasn't but we did note the owner provided his contact information and asked for feedback on the flyer which shows genuine concern on how to improve and is a great idea. I'd suggest placing these at the tables or have server deliver with check as if we hadn't asked about the points we would have walked off without this information.
