We were in a bit of a pickle after losing the only key to our work vehicle. Mike, was thorough and prompt verifying the vehicles true ownership before he made our keys. He was also able to reprogram new keys for another vehicle of ours. If we went to the dealership the price would've been VASTLY different. But Mike was able to program the keys right there in kona. Mahalo Mike, for all the help! read more

My son locked himself out of his bedroom. I called him up and he was here within 20 minutes. Very professional, courteous, quick and wasn't nearly as expensive on a Sunday evening as I was afraid it would be. It went as well as I could ever imagine. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anybody that needs to get into a room or a car. read more

Fastest i ever been saved getting keys locked in car. Showed up in less than 20 minutes

Mike I'm sure you come across this a lot, people are upset about you having to charge them so much money for a few minutes of time, trust me I get it, we all have to make a living but charging over $125 for a short van ride to the call and spending less than15 minutes is excessive, unfair and just not right. Maybe, just maybe you should try to cut people a break every once in a while, especially when you don't actually do anything for them once you roll up...it's called Aloha...you should get some...be fair and give to people when you can, especially if it's little sweat off your back...you will get back more than twofold later in life. Hey and here's a bonus for you, you actually get to feel good and like yourself. read more

But called 808 the next day ON A SUNDAY... EASTER SUNDAY!! and he was SO ready to do whatever it took to get me mobile again.... He even picked me up in kona and gave me a ride all the way out to waikii ranch where my car was !!! Mike was awesome good conversation and all . And when we got to the car he was all business made a chipped key on sight in no time at all and i was able to enjoy the rest of my easter with my family .. I would HIGHLY recommend 808locksmiths. Mike was incredibly helpful and got the job done. He gave me a fair price and worked into the night to get my car back on the road. Not only did he put up with my stress and slightly rude tone of voice, he helped to calm me down and ensured he could do the job. It was not an easy one but he did it and if I am ever in a jam again, he'll be the first person I call! Mahalo!! read more

This guy is amazing. He came all the way to Waimea early Monday morning to make me a key in time to get my kids to school. He was the only one who'd come to my car. He was super fast and efficient. And very nice. I recommend him to any and everyone for all you let needs read more

I hope this is the right business. This one says Hilo, but I believe he is also in Kona. I needed a new jeep chip key(mine shit the bed while we were camping, for whatever reason.) My jeep had been stuck at the mechanics for-ev-er! (Cuz they didn't have the right equipment for chip key and were pussy footin' around. I called 808locksmith on referral and was not disappointed. Mike at 808 was super extra great! He came half way across the island fast as lightening. He arrived at the time he said he would and finished the job before I could even get there. Sure, there's no cabs on my part of the island, so I was literally running the 2 miles to get to him. We spoke and he told me; stop running! I'll come pick you up! Thank goodness, cuz holy hot muggy weather, Batman! He had my two chipped keys, plus a ghost key for good measure. He didn't charge me and arm and leg for the second key and ghost key was on the house. He even offered to help with the costs in case the mechanics were jerking me around. We all know how shady chain mechanics can be. Everything was handled in such professional manner with such a quickness, I could barely contain my gratitude. He's pretty easy on the eyes too which makes everything a better experience, let's be honest. More importantly, he had my back and got me driving in no time. I will always refer Mike for any locksmith needs....like forever! Mahalo nui loa, Mike! read more

First time using this company. I will not be recommending for services to anyone. Was able to get a relatively quick appointment (3 days out). Was told of the service charge of $29 but wasn't able to get a final quote to change out 2 locks; 1 sliding door lock and a regular deadbolt and knob combo. Took 2 days to complete because the technician didn't have the right tools needed for the job, had the wrong bag. Was told the deadbolt/knob was too corroded to rekey so it needed to be changed out. Sure, I was thinking can't be too expensive as I know they can range from $30-60 and up by brand. Recently, went to the local Lowes and there's the sliding door lock priced at $20. https://www.lowes.com/pd/WRIGHT-PRODUCTS-6-625-in-Flush-Mount-Sliding-Patio-Door-Handle/50102530 I went into shock that my total bill was $433.31! patio door lock + instal... 189.00 1 X $189.00 Each | Taxable service fee 29.00 1 X $29.00 Each | Taxable deadbolt+door noob+insta... 198.00 1 X $198.00 Each | Taxable Subtotal 416.00 Tax 4.16% 17.31 Total $433.31 This is just down right outrageous and overpriced. I highly do not reccommend using this company. I wish I called someone else like Kona Locksmiths. On a positive note, the technician who did the service was a very nice man but said he didn't handle the billing or the quotes. He did a good job but the bill was double of what I was expecting. read more

I was locked out of my home and called several locksmiths- one said they could come in 2 days! 808 Locksmiths were there in about an hour and fixed the broken lock quickly and was polite and professional. Sometimes this can be hard to find in Kona, especially on short notice. I would highly recommend this company! Thank-you so much ! read more

This guy totally saved me hundreds of dollars by avoiding the Honda dealer. He's your man in a pinch.

The locksmith was very rude and his attitude was crap. Ended up getting the job done but I would not recommend this guy to anyone.
