Leslie, co-owner, communicates right away and will ask questions to make sure you get the best item for your party- is it indoor our outdoor, windy area, beach, how large is the stage, things like that so she can make suggestions which will work better for your party. Things we may not be aware of since they've done thousands of parties all over the island and continent. They know all the party venues, hotels, convention center, cultural centers, restaurants, etc that people have parties at, so it makes it easy for you too because they have info and experience that we may not be aware of. Philip contacted me immediately after I submitted online request and we nailed down the details. He texted a week before so I could make payment and reconfirm details and make sure nothing changed. Philip arrived as promised in the cool van advertising the company and brought exactly what we talked about. Setting up for us, tying on balloon clusters, explaining what works best for life of balloons, and even brought an extra one in case the heat wasn't kind. They give you an option of having them return to pick up balloon stands (we had two columns outdoors so needed to be on the metal stands) or to save the extra fee, you may return it to Hawaii Kai. He and I quickly spoke about what I would like and need for my dad's balloon arch and Phillip just goes so far out of his way to make you feel extra cared for and special by making sure every base is covered and even giving advice for what to get or how to design the arch. He is soooo thorough and thoughtful. He sent over the invoice, we pay, then boom! We're done and I see him the day-of for setup. Phillip arrived so punctually and prepared. He came to set up, but also, he helped me to set up balloons that I brought on my own and he didn't have to do that. He helped me use these two big balloons and make stands out of them. He suggested how we could set up the balloon arch and made it feel secure next to the tree and post of the covered party space we were renting. Not sure what's her name, but she was an older Caucasian lady. They were there for about 3 hours or so and never once did I see a line to get a balloon. Probably because 1 of many reasons.... 1. I witnessed one of my nephews trying to get a balloon and he had to explain to the lady why he was getting another one. **he should not have to explain to the lady why he needs another balloon. The balloons are unlimited for 3 hours! There wasn't a line. The lady was just sitting there. 2. My friend told me that she had to help my other 5 year old nephew get a balloon because the balloon twister refused to help him since she was unable to make the balloon he wanted. She just so happened to be next to the vendor and heard her tell him to "go get your mommy". Instead of showing him the balloon folder of what she could make, she just refused to make him a balloon. My friend went over to help him pick one from the folder of pictures . **I don't understand why she couldn't just show him the balloon folder to begin with... maybe she just didn't want to deal with him. AGAIN, there was no line. ** 3. My daughter has a whole lot to say about the balloon lady. She kept saying how rude she was... And that tank could blow up over 100 balloons. Then we just put a deposit that applied towards the cost and if we kept it for more extra days, he'd charge an additional $25 per day. It's worth it if your seriously making good use of the helium. Other than that, you ought as well order balloons from the stores or, buy those disposable tanks that makes 30 balloons. I wish this guy was still around. And even if his business was closed, I wish he would still operate from home. Cause with all the parties we've been doing lately... Even over the phone, great service (Aloha Spirit!). 4 hours later my mom called me. Mom said the balloon bouquet was stunning, and that it almost reached the top of her 14 foot ceilings. Cost was $89 not cheap, but well worth it! Yes I could have gone to costco and bought a helium tank and randomly place balloons around the house. That would be acceptable. But hiring a professionals to create something beautiful is so worth it. Advice: spend the extra $20 and have the pro's take care of you. You will not only time, but gas and stress.
