I am in in the process of buying a home without a realtor, which means relying on individual…read moreprofessionals to help me with my decisions. Mike Schirmer came highly recommended to me and I am thankful that he was. As this is an extremely busy season for property sales, he answered my voicemail within a couple hours and asked me some great questions to understand my needs. He explained the process and then we scheduled the next available spot for the inspection, a couple weeks from that call. He arrived on time and got to task immediately, He knows that I have severe mold allergies and had issues with my prior home. He made sure to thoroughly check the home for such issues. He also took detailed pictures of anything he felt needed to be repaired and by whom (owner or HOA) per the bylaws. In addition to his reporting, he explained every electronic outlet, fixture, explained how the water softener works and how to replace the filter and salts, where the water pressure valve was and how to use it. He gave me suggestions on making the home more energy efficient and suggested calling Efficiency Vermont and GMP to get best deals and rebates on upgrades. The detailed report he sent to me included high quality images with details on each image. I have attached one of those here. I cannot emphasize what a sincere pleasure it is to work with Mike. His guidance and sharp eye for details is invaluable.

After a productive…read moreconversation he said he had an employee in Fairfax (my residence) and would have him stop out to look it over and give an estimate. When I heard nothing for two weeks I called and spoke with that employee. He knew nothing about it since the owner never spoke with him. Arrangements were made and he did stop in. Despite my having called the company three times over the next 7 weeks, I never heard more. At the fourth call the owner got on, mentioned how busy they were but they would attend to it. Three more weeks and still nothing. Guess they simply don't care.

My car had gotten stuck a couple of times, and I needed someone the very next day. I sent out a Yelp request for snow plowing and didn't hear back from anyone except Three Fold Landscaping--and it was already pretty late, so I was surprised (in a good way) that someone responded. Abdullah got back to me quickly and was professional and straight to the point. After a few messages, we agreed they would come out the next day before 4 PM. Not only did they fit me in, but they actually arrived earlier than expected, around 2 PM, and got the job done. Their pricing was fair, and they did everything I asked for. Great communication, reliable service, and solid work. I'll definitely be using them again for future plowing and landscaping needs.
