My relationship started with Vermont Energy in 2009 when they won the bid to install the hydronic…read morein floor radiant heat including a high efficiency wall hung boiler and hot water tank in my newly constructed two story home. All the work looked to be of the highest quality. Unfortunately, the boiler had issues and needed to be replaced recently. Vermont Energy was extremely customer oriented and the new system was installed at lightning speed. Four techs showed up and had the new boiler and hot water storage tank installed in one day. Even though the original boiler failed prematurely I am very pleased with the service provided me to make things right. All of the technicians were sharp pencils willing to go the extra mile. I highly recommend this outfit for all your heating and plumbing solutions.

We moved into a condo about 18 months ago and realized that our boiler might not last a lot longer…read more We were delighted with the service we got from Vermont Energy all the way through the process. Our salesperson, Pete, along with the installers Justin and Nathan, were all knowledgeable, explained things well, polite, and were easy to have around. Justin and Nate worked efficiently in a tiny space, and cleaned up well when they were done. So many other residents in our condo neighborhood have worked with Vermont Energy, and we are glad we did too!

Rick and his crew are top notch. I've had several projects done by them, and I have always been…read moreimpressed with their work. RVG quotes are fair and accurate, usually coming in even under the estimated amount. The first project was to get a variety of small things done, troubleshoot solar/PowerWall/UPS issues, and install a new meter box, because water and repetitive pulling had damaged it. Rick took care of arranging for the utility to assist with a disconnect, ran a new line from the eve, replaced the meter box, ran some new circuits, and determined why they PowerWall was tripping the UPSs. Later, during the pandemic, an RVG installer came by, with COVID19 precautions, and installed some new light switches, and a ceiling fan for me. Rick also did troubleshooting on a radiant floor heating system. Most recently, the team was back again, installing a new circuit for an EV Level 2 charger, hardwired that, and installed a dedicated circuit for my electric wood splitter. They gutted the existing lighting in the garage, and replaced the hodge podge of fixtures with bright, efficient, LED shop lights. I sleep better knowing RVG Electrical has properly done the wiring and that it was all done right.

But what I found myself…read morefocusing on in the first couple of hours of our disaster was the professionalism, expertise and kindness of the team from PuroClean. Within a half hour of calling late last Saturday evening, the PuroClean technician was at the door. Before leaving that night, he gave us his personal cell number and said to call him if we had any questions the next day - Sunday. We called; he returned our calls twice and answered all of our questions. And the same technician returned Monday morning and the next several mornings as well to check on the dryness. It wasn't clear early on whether there would be insurance coverage, so we appreciated that PuroClean was thoughtful in determining which sections of drywall, built-in cabinetry and flooring needed to be removed to expedite drying. We spoke several times with the PuroClean office personnel in the following days, and they, too, were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. If we ever have another mishap, we would absolutely call PuroClean. Just very nice people providing remarkable, competent service.

The person I spoke to just stated he was calling from the company, and was returning my call. I didn't call, I emailed. Then just asked how he could help me, so he clearly didn't read the email I sent. I explained what I needed, and he was worried about how I heard about the company. Then stated that they charge $75 for a consultation fee. I stated that I didn't want to pay for a consultation fee, and that I've had three other estimates and none required I pay. He laughed at me, and stated its because they "have the best prices". Honestly, I did hang up at that point. I can't stand a lack of customer service. They failed to read the email, were worried about their marketing, and make claims to having the best price, but want to charge customers straight off the bat. Not impressed.
