I really want to travel more and having a travel trailer will dramatically cut down the COVID exposure We have a Ford F-150 so we can tow one. Anyway, Tony came out and showed us 3 models. One new, two used. He repeats himself a lot. The used car type sales pitch. "We will train you on how to use it" when we asked questions about each trailer. That isn't the point dude We want to understand the different features of each unit. We only need to hear that they will train us on how to use it once Tony must have said that 15 times. It was annoying. He said it so many times, I finally had to tell him. We know you will train us, but we want to understand the features of each trailer. We had to figure out the differences ourselves. He couldn't seem to switch from the company sales pitch to explaining features of each. We are going to shop around and maybe we will come back. What would be great is having a "build sheet" that lists what is great about each trailer. Features such as: any warranty, weight, size of hot water tank, there has to be differences. What are done of them?

We can't say enough about the service department at the Calera location. The maintenance technicians took time to explain what needed to be done, showed us how they would repair our issue and have provided updates and information well beyond what we expected. Great American RV corporate needs to use this service department as a template for how to address issues and work with customers. Extremely Disappointed - Dishonest Representation and 900+ Mile Wasted Trip…read moreI am deeply disappointed with the dishonest sales practices at Great American RV Superstore in Calera, Alabama. After speaking with the manager, Josh, regarding a specific Venture RV, I was explicitly assured that the unit was in "like-new" condition and that he "couldn't find a scratch on it." Because Josh knew I was driving 427 miles from North Carolina, he looked me in the eye over the phone and promised he would not mislead me. Trusting his word, I made the trip. Upon arrival, the actual condition of the two-year-old camper was completely unacceptable and nowhere near what was advertised: The front gel cap was badly faded and yellowing. The oven door was rusted. The slide-out left a massive, deep black scuff mark across the floor. The interior booth cushions were stained. Adhesive LED strip lights had been carelessly ripped from the upper walls, leaving extensive scuffs and cosmetic damage. The unit looked as though it had been neglected in a muddy field for two years. When I understandably declined the purchase, Josh attempted to pivot and offer a "deal" on a completely different RV. I did not drive nearly 900 miles round-trip for an alternative deal; I came for the specific vehicle we agreed upon. Taking advantage of out-of-state buyers by misrepresenting inventory is incredibly unprofessional. I highly recommend potential buyers look elsewhere if they value honesty and respect for their time

Took it back and they said it was the mother board and they had to order it. Waited for a call back, finally about a month later I had to reach back out to them to see what was going on. Took the camper back in to get fixed. Thought everything was good, trusted that they fixed the issue. I have a medical condition which makes it's paramount that I have heat. Well come to find out in the mountains of Tennessee the heater didn't work. It was 65 degrees with the heater on with only the fan running and the pilot light turning off and on. Sent them an email about the issue again. This is the third time! The tech guy calls and said maybe it's the lines from the propane, dude the heater hasn't worked from day one nothing is clogged up. They like to blame everything but themselves for selling a lemon. I asked either to overhaul the heater in my brand new camper or replace it. And still nothing. These people are pathetic. I spent almost $40,000 on a broken camper that was supposedly brand new and a 2026. Do not buy from the people! I'm still waiting for a call back, I'm not holding my breath. GO BUY A CAMPER SOMEWHERE ELSE! They couldn't care less about you.

My family just purchased our new 2018 Forest River Impression 34MID 5th wheel from Camper Kingdom…read morein Meridian, Mississippi. We were looking for the right floorplan for our family for quite a long time. We came across the Impression 34MID and looked at it at an RV show and fell in love with it. I started pricing them out on RV Trader only to find that they were out of my price range. I continued to check pricing for quite some time, when Camper Kingdom priced the coach in my price range. I quickly inquired and asked if the camper was available. Andrew Godwin reached out to me and let me know the rig was still available. Andrew could not have been any friendlier or more professional and I will admit I am an inquiry handful. I asked so many questions, I have no idea how he kept his patience with me. This being my first camper purchase after seven years of tent camping, I was a bit anxious to make sure that everything worked out correctly. I am in sales professionally and I can attest that Andrew is one of the best individuals I have ever worked with. He never tried to "sell" me the camper. He never pressured me in any way. All he did was answer all my questions and do so in the quickest manner. He made everything so easy it was like an out of body sales experience. When I was satisfied with all my questions and inquiries, I went into negotiation mode of which there really wasn't any. The price that Andrew and Camper Kingdom gave me for the Impression was significantly lower than any other price I found nationwide. I honestly did not have to haggle at all. I kept waiting for him to drop the "extra fees and charges" bomb any time, but there wasn't any. Out the door, easy to understand and within my budget pricing was what he provided me along with the two upgrades I asked for. Simple and efficient. I placed a small deposit down to hold the coach and came out to Mississippi the following week to take delivery. Upon arriving at Camper Kingdom, I was introduced to one of the owners, Randall Johnson. Randall was just as friendly and professional as Andrew was. He took the time to walk me through everything I needed to get the delivery transaction completed. Easy, no stress, fun and friendly. Let me also say that everyone in the office is the exact same way. They are the nicest people to deal with and really made me, my wife and son feel truly special. It was a special day for us, and they added to that experience for sure. Randall introduced me to Dave who was patient enough to give me a comprehensive operating walkthrough on the coach and made it simple and easy for me to understand. He was so patient. As a first time 5th wheel owner, I am sure some of my questions were a bit trivial for him, but he never showed it. By the end of the instruction, I really felt as thought I had a good starting understanding on how it all worked. I went into the office and did all the paperwork which took maybe ten minutes. All prepared and easy to complete. After that Randall rejoined me and helped me with getting some starting accessories I needed in their parts store. Again, he did not pressure me into anything. He said, "there are a few things you need and then there are things you may want down the road". He only pointed out four little things I needed (which I got since the prices were comparable or better than Amazon). Of course, I bought some other fun incidentals, how could I not, I was too excited not too . We took my goods to the coach, loaded them up and then got ready to hitch up the truck. Again, I had never hooked up a 5th wheel to a truck hitch and Randall made that instruction brilliantly easy for me. Once hooked up, we prepared the Impression for departure, said our goodbyes and we hit the road. I cannot express in words just how amazing the entire experience with Andrew, Randall and the entire Camper Kingdome family was from the start to the finish. I was impressed beyond words. I am sure some day, I will want to move from this coach to another and I guarantee you that my only call to make that happen is going to be to the Camper Kingdom family. My family and I feel truly blessed that Camper Kingdom has made our RV dreams become a reality and we are so excited for our camping adventures to begin.

The most horrendous experience for me when having new wheel bearings put on my rv camper. My big mistake was not asking for an estimate to begin with when talking with the owner on the phone. The man who actually did the work was very nice in telling me they could do the work. They charged me $698 for having bearings replaced and repairing an interior light. I had asked them to install bearing buddies to keep dirt and water out. Instead they replaced one cap on one of the two wheels they were asked to work on (and I'm hoping the bearings), and left the other bearings original rubber cap on. This cap fell off on my 20 mile journey on the way home. When I got home I checked the prices of RV repair places to find out what the charge would normally be on bearing replacement. The labor on bearings are normally $100 per hour. The bearings themselves are under $100. There charge was $182. The labor was $475. I called the owner to complain and his workers answered. I asked to have the owner call me back but he was unresponsive. I paid with a check which was rushed through the bank system by the next morning. Before posting this review I called the owner to tell him this would go on Angie's list as well and his attitude was basically "so what."
