FIrst time at a barbershop so I have nothing to compare it to. I'm sure I picked a good place for my first experience though. It feels like your walking into a skate shop/hat shop, nice brick walls, big screen tv's, and they sell hats, snacks, belts, random cool things. My 2 year old son needed a haircut badly and remembered seeing this place after getting out of my yoga class that's right across from it. I waited a while but I did walk in with no appointment and when you see Dario cutting hair that looks like a work of art you don't mind waiting. Dario did a great job on my son, we left happy. And my son is looking fresh sporting his duck tail ha! Will go back and would recomend this place to people. Went during my lunch break and was lucky enough to get there when it wasn't busy and went right from the front door to the barber chair. I was in and out with still plenty of time to grab lunch. While working I came upon the Barber Shop.. I have a 16 year old Son who likes to always look good. The minute I walked into the shop I knew this would be his new shop for services.. 2 days later he was getting his hair cut. It was an amazing feeling SUPER clean and the personal services they give to the client is Fantastic. Well worth every dollars and then some. Its decor is very comfortable with all the different seating. From Leather to stadium seat to the bar stools. The owner and his staff are Wonderful and any age client will feel more than comfortable in this shop.... If you're expecting a 15 minute Supercut hack job, don't come here. Omar is an excellent barber who takes his time to get it right. He blends and fades perfectly, and it grows in just as good. I never paid attention to the quality of a professional haircut until I came here. I am so happy with the quality of their work that I drive all the way out from Torrance. Omar is a craftsman who takes his job seriously. It's insane that some cats think his $17 cut is expensive. He could legitimately charge double that. It's $25 for a cut if you schedule an appointment, since appointments don't have to wait, but that comes with a drink and a beard trim, too. I have been looking for the perfect barbershop for my sons, and I could never find one because they didn't fit my criteria... Being able to find parking without getting trapped by traffic is very important to me. Another factor is having enough barbers to accommodate their customers. This barbershop excelled at that. I noted how each barber was meticulous with their work, which is a good thing because you won't leave disappointed. My own son who finished his haircut a couple of hours ago, hasn't showered yet because he does'nt want to mess it up.. he isn't a fan of short styles, but he likes this one. Hats off to these guys for keeping the barber shop nice and clean and keeping their tools disinfected frequently. I applaud these guys for maintaining focus on their craft and not "gabbing" about everything like this one barber that my husband goes to, his complaint with that, is that the person loses track what they were doing and will take even longer cutting and gabbing.... So, my 4 yr old needed a haircut. I googled barber shops in Downey. Several came up, so I started reading the reviews and called this place. They said to come on in. So I did. We arrived about 4:30ish. There was one guy with a client. So we sat and waited for him. I noticed that this guy was super meticulous at cutting hair. I was impressed. When it was my sons turn to get in the chair, he got the same treatment. His hair came out so good. I am now going to send the hubby there too. I know he will just love it there. The decor was very nice with all the TVs and snacks. And Omar was awesome !!! Before we left they gave my son a gift that was wrapped. He was so excited. This is my first ever Yelp review. I've been here a handful of times. I live near by so the location is really convenient for me. Haircuts are fine (when you can get them). I've walked out of there twice without a haircut. First time it happened I was a walk-in and waited about two hours with two barbers at work. When it was my turn, one of the barbers just took off without notice which was annoying but I still waited. After another half hour the second barber told me he had an appointment and he wasn't going to be able to give me a haircut for another hour. I got up and left because I didn't want to spend 3 to 4 hours. A little heads up from the get-go would've been nice. Second time it happened I had an appointment with Dario at 12. I walked in and Dario said he had an appointment at 12 and I told him that I was the one who scheduled an appointment for twelve. He then said "No, I actually told you 2pm not 12pm" which I know was BS because I confirmed the time over the phone more than once. Since I was the only customer on the waiting room, I figured I'd wait for Omar to cut my hair after he was finished with somebody else. I asked if he was free and he said "yes, after I finish him you're next". So I waited...after a few minutes Omar comes up with and excise about not realizing that he too had an appointment coming up. Neither of them was willing to take a walk-in that had an appointment in the first place even while the place was dead. Nobody else waiting. I walked out again. Terrible customer service, terrible scheduling, overall bad experience. They don't value their customers so I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

This was my first time at this barbershop after shopping around for barbers for my son, and I must say it's amazing!! The decor is awesome, very modern with a twist of urban. Very unique. The barbers were all very friendly and attended my son very well. The guy (Dario) who cut my sons hair was awesome with the scissors. My son left with a smile on his face with his cool faux hawk! I went around Christmas time so they gave my son a Christmas gift, I thought that was a very nice gesture. I also loved the fact that they had so many snacks and lots of other neat stuff that is very convenient. I will definitely return. It's hard to find barber shops with this type of service now a days. This spot is amazing! All the barbers are great and if your particular about your style. All the barbers help you find the right style. Like any industry, you will always have a line for walk in but they communicate with you and hook you up at the end (worth the wait) but hardly any wait. Dario and Chris both work great and have that honest barber skills. The barbers here are legit and awesome. The price is right with the atmosphere always flowing positive. I moved from silverlake and took me months to find the right barber, now I got two barbers at this shop! Shop even got bansky on the walls, makes me feel right at home. read more
