Do not hire this company.
On July 27, 2026, Edgar recommended replacing my hallway bathroom toilet flange as a precaution and charged me $350. When I asked him directly if there was any sign of a leak or a wet floor or subfloor, he explicitly assured me there was no leak and that the subfloor was completely dry and fine.
Three weeks later, the guest bathroom ceiling directly below was soaked and swollen. It turned out the flange had been installed incorrectly--more than half an inch below the finished floor level, a direct violation of plumbing codes (IPC/UPC). Because of this shoddy work, the seal failed, leaking sewage-contaminated water into the floor assembly and the ceiling below.
When I informed Edgar that same night, he showed up unannounced the next morning with four crew members. He personally confirmed the wet floor and ceiling using a moisture meter, yet amazingly still wanted to reinstall the toilet directly onto the confirmed wet floor until I stopped him.
As a result of this gross negligence, my household has been left without two functional bathrooms and two showers for months. When I told him that day about the severe hardship of having no working showers, he actually laughed and joked that my wife and I could just shower with a hose in the backyard.
Furthermore, the professional remediation cost $1,725 and the rebuild estimate sits at $14,700, yet his liability insurer--after dragging their feet for over six weeks--offered a mere $5,100 toward the rebuild, which was rightfully rejected. To make matters worse, the mitigation company he referred to us, set up the containment chambers incorrectly which caused failure of the containment chambers that same evening, cross-contaminating our entire house and master bedroom, knocking out our last remaining shower.
Save yourself months of misery, hardship, and legal battles. I would not hire this plumber even for free. read more
