My go to favorite beer at Seventh Sun is typically their Graffiti Orange, but today I tried their Mangrove DIPA and it was delicious! It was very drinkable even if you typically shy away from such a bitter style of beer. The inside of the bar is small, but the outside seating makes up for the lack of seating inside and makes for great people watching, if you're into that sort of thing of course :-). I have been here several times and have never had poor service from any of their bartenders. They are helpful and friendly and never have an issue letting you sample one of their beers before you commit to a glass. Inside you can also see schematics of their Seminole Heights brewery which I am very excited about. I can't wait to see that place, I am hoping the bigger brewery will allow them to expand their beer selection because I think they have a great brewing style. They are also very dog friendly and immediately brought my dog water and a treat and I didn't even ask them for that! It was so sweet and my dog really appreciated it hehe. Went in here with some family because they have a favorite of mine. As soon as we walked in the bartender and a regular gave us a side eye, as we were ordering our beers the regular continued staring and smirking at our group. He made us so uncomfortable to the point I asked him what the problem was or if they were closing soon?. The bartender immediately said she's going to refund our beers and asked us to leave. I go here every time I'm in Dunedin, and i've never felt so uncomfortable in a brewery because of another customer. read more

Why 4 stars? Because this is a great local brewery. --- --- --- I don't make it out to Northern Pinellas County much, but I feel like Dunedin is easily my favorite town in that part of the Bay Area. I haven't spent a lot of time in the area... but what I have seen I've really enjoyed. 7th Sun has some really unique flavored beers like graffiti orange (creamsicle), kiwi cherry coconut, and mango black peppercorn really set it apart from the competition. It's small, quant, and cool with friendly people working there. Overall, I sold and will definitely check them out again! read more

5 stars for beer-3 stars for ambiance. This brewery has definitely outgrown it's digs. It's time for them to move to a larger facility. We walked in around 9pm on a Sunday evening and only found 1 bar stool available. This place is pretty tiny and lacks any ambiance. I guess you come here for the beer, which is great, but i think a larger area would do them some good. Their beer is listed on a chalkboard with either a 4, 12 or 16 oz pour. They also offer growlers to go. Some of the beers can only be purchased in a 4 or 12 oz pour due to either their alcohol content or the fact that it was a limited edition batch. I can respect this, as it allows more people to sample the goods. The hubby ordered the creamsicle orange wheat beer. I must admit, I did have a sip and it was OH SO GOOD! The brewery definitely has a following of locals and regulars. One guy walked in with a cooler so he would transport his growlers home. When in Dunedin, I would definitely stop in for a good batch of beer, but don't expect any fancy digs. read more

I have not been to 7venth Sun Brewery and I have tried at least half of their beers and I have to say that I am in love with this local brewery! On my most recent visit, I went with a friend and we sat outside on the patio. The patio is so nice and has a fan so that it is not too sticky outside when enjoying your drinks. One thing to note! This place serves beer, it does not have wine and it does not have other drinks. If you love beer you will love this place. This most recent visit, I tried the Mangrove which was a double IPA and it tasted so good. You got tastes of the hops for sure, but you also got the taste of caramel and citrus too, both flavors that taste great in beer. Also, I had a project popsicle which was a great good IPA with tons of flavor of hops but it was refreshing at the same time. I loved both beers and both had great flavors. In other times I have been here I have had the Time Bomb and a few others too. One thing they do like most beer joints is flights of beer. You can get a flight here and it is displayed so so nice! The staff here is amazing and let you taste whatever you want. They will even help you choose a beer that best fits you and what you like to drink! I really like 7venth Sun Brewery and would 100% recommend it no matter when you are looking for a cold refreshing beer!! read more

I love that there are so many choices for craft beer in the Bay Area! This was my first visit to the actual brewery but I'd already sampled many of their brews at other bars around town. The Grafiti Orange is very popular and the Time Bomb is also pretty good if you like IPAs (I don't). I ordered their Public Love, a mango key lime pie flavored beer. It was fan-fucking-tastic! You could definitely taste the key lime and there was even a hint of coconut! It's like eating liquid pie that gets you drunk!! I loved it!! Unfortunately, they ran out before I could order another but that just meant it was time to move on to the next bar. I know this place does well and their popularity is growing. Hopefully their space will too. It can get a bit cramped. read more

I'm with Kelly M. on this one. 7venth Sun has some good suds, but the vibe at the brewery could use some work. The place is tiny, cramped-feeling and there are no stools at the bar. So either stand there, or grab a seat outside and looks at the cars parked there. I have heard that a Tampa location will be opening up, but I'm not sure if it will be in addition to this one, or if they're relocating. Anywho, to pop in and have a beer is fine, but extended visits are definitely out of the question as it is today. As for beers, I really enjoy their saisons. read more

I love this brewery! They've opened up a location in Tampa but this is the original. It's extremely small but they have a wide variety of beers which match all tastes. I love sour beers and they have a new one on tap every Tuesday. It's fun and interesting to try out the new flavors. They always have at least one IPA, wheat, saison, stout and sour. Great for all the tastes! They have indoor and outdoor seating which makes them dog friendly. They also offer snacks. Today I had the Craft Billionaire which is a Berliner with guava. Quite delicious! The taste of guava is very strong which I liked. I also enjoyed the Dive In Berliner with peach, orange, raspberry and cranberry. I can't taste the individual fruits here but enjoyed the tartness and overall fruitiness. It never stops to hurt here because there is always something yummy and new. read more

Our friend, Mark, visits his sister nearby in Belleair/Clearwater Beach area. He rides down from 'The City' (New York) and there's often home cooked Filipino meals at her house along with brews he's packed from his travels or some local tap house and we just hang out and enjoy the view, food, beer and each other's company. This time we ventured out beyond Clearwater into Dunedin, FL to 7venth Sun Brewery. Their tasting room isn't huge by any stretch. There's seating inside and outdoors along the sidewalk and under the covered patio on the side of the brew house. The bartender was very polite and kept everyone happy by keeping the suds flowing from the ten taps they have of their own brews along with a few guests bottles alongside their flavorful selections. Now that I've rambled on about the decor and accommodations, let's talk about the beers. Never mind the guest brews because, we never made it to them. 7venth Sun's own selections made an impression. We started with the Time Bomb. A Session IPA hopped with Citra & Nelson that was crisp with a refreshing citrusy finish. We made our way thru at least three other selections over the course of the evening and all were exceptionally crafted. There's definitely another trip somewhere in the future. Popped in here for a quick beer while passing through town. I only had one and it was great (kolsh) and it was really nice to sit at the high top tables out front. They had a diverse beer menu with some unique twists! I've driven by this joint in the afternoon before and it was packed, so I gotta think this is a great hangout for locals and tourists alike. Their apparel they sell is super cute, too! Only thing I will warn you about is to not go with a hungry stomach as they only have snacks items and no meals. read more

A pair of friends and I were here this past Saturday night. The two of them had been before, I'm pretty sure, but this was my first visit. I really liked this place a lot and definitely would be a regular here if I lived in the area. I'd tried some 7venth Sun beers before (primarily at the Hourglass Brewery in Longwood, FL), though my memory's a little hazy as to exactly which ones. I know I've certainly had the Red d'Or, which is excellent. Many of the other beers that were on tap here on Saturday were unfamiliar to me, at least by name. I tried a glass of a beer that was supposed to taste like a creamsicle, and while it was tasty I didn't find it to be as sweet as I was hoping. It was pretty good, though. My second beer here was the Mangrove, an excellent IPA. I'm hoping that some of this finds its way up to the Orlando area at some point. The brewery sells some nice glassware; each of us bought some. I picked up a $5 tulip-style glass, which is really nice. We also got a set of smaller sampling-size glasses, which will come in handy for our private tasting parties. The bartender who worked on Saturday was very cool and accommodating. One of my friends had met him before, so they struck up some camaraderie. The bartender remembered liking him so much that he let us sample a rare beer that was not on tap. It was very cool of him. He even sat down outside and talked with us once closing time approached. Another really cool guy (Jay, maybe?), who wasn't an employee but is a regular customer, sat with us as well and had us in stitches with his sense of humor. Jay, if you're reading this, it was awesome to meet you! I highly recommend stopping by at this place if you're in the area. I can't wait until my next trip to Tampa so that I can spend some more time here. This is one of my go to spots every time I am in Downtown Dunedin! They do a great job keeping a good selection of craft brews. This place is always packed, which is a good testament to how great it is! There isn't much room inside, but if you catch is just right you can find a spot at the bar by the window. Their is plenty of outside seating, and the prices are great. Beers are priced by how much you want to drink, so if you want to try a few you can snag a couple 2oz beers and build your own flight! I can't quite remember the name of the beer, but my absolute favorite is the one that tastes like a creamsicle! If that isn't your style, they also have some wonderful porters and IPAs! If this brewery were closer I would be here much more often. It is nice to come here though, go for a bike ride and hit up the brewery afterwards. It is a very small space, but they have a nice little outdoor patio area with a decent amount of seats. The beer the brew here is great and I love filling up my growlers here. The DIPA is probably my favorite, but the pale ale and the graffiti orange are nice as well. My most sought after beer I bought from here has been the Four Roses Super Fly. Very tasty. read more

I've always like 7th Sun. They have a great following of hard cores that appreciate their creations. I'm so blessed to live near by because I can walk to about 6 Brew Pubs and bike to about 6 more. During Early Corona virus I double my intake at these pubs ( poor me ) lining up for take out with my growlers. I also took careful note of which places were fighting to stay alive. Stopped by today and was extremely disappointed to get a 12 oz pour in a tiny plastic Dixie cup. I get why pubs were doing that early on but at this point I need my beer in a proper vessel. Went across the street to my more regular place and got a full pint in a real glass for the same price. As a small biz owner I get the struggle that's gone on. However now is the time to do more not Dixie cup it. read more

I wouldn't come here during the "Covid" times. There was only outdoor seating which was limited, their beer menu was small, favoring the IPA and darker beer fans. They serve $7 beers in plastic cups, which I'm assuming is so they don't have to wash glasses. They don't take cash so when the "bartender" rang up my 2 beers, he sprayed his hands with what I'm assuming was hand sanitizer, swiped it for me at his computer, then gave it back to me and sprayed his hands again. He asked if I wanted to give a tip and then asked me how much, which I thought was very awkward, especially considering I was just given two $7 beers in like 10oz cups and he made me feel like scum. I understand people are concerned but it was a little overboard. I won't be going back, just not my forte. Seems like it was other people's though. I am from upstate NY where the breweries are plentiful and known across the country. I was in the area and thought I'd try out this one in Dunedin. read more

I'm glad I had a chance to stop in here on my vacation. I absolutely love the location, it has a great outdoor patio and also has an indoor/outdoor set up on the other side of the building. You can sit indoors but because of the large open window, it feels like you are outside. For the beers, I tried small pours of about 5 of them. They don't have specific flights, but you can order each one in a smaller 1-2 oz size. I have to be honest that the beers weren't memorable. I also couldn't remember the names of any of the beers since there was nowhere fort he bartender to write them. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out as unique or different. All of the beers were fine! Overall this is a fun place to enjoy some beers and sunshine. read more

Found a beer we liked so happy about that. But most of the seating is outside. Fine in the nice months, but it was cool when we went. Issue with families. There was one with four kids taking up prime seating while the parents sipped on their beer. Just doesn't seem right for adult paying customers. But, I would recommend stopping in. read more
