We had just under 50 people (about 1/3 kids ages 5-18) and there was room for adults to dance and kids to run around. They also allowed the use of two conference rooms which was perfect for people who wanted to be part of the party but needed somewhere a little more quiet. It's also helpful to have things like tables and chairs there already and the kitchen area is a big plus. We brought in a DJ and our own food. Cameron from the Temescal works team stayed throughout the event and was so awesome making sure people got into the space ok and that everything was all good. The booking process was also really easy. I was able to complete it mostly via email and it wasn't a ton of back and forth. They also helped me with getting event insurance and provided a list of caterers, rental agencies, etc. I kind of want to have every party here from here on out! At the very least, I'll probably stop by for coworking in the future.

I'm extremely sensitive to light and aesthetics, so I can't say the Kaiser Mall location is my favorite of all the Port workspaces. But it's extremely close to my home (In fact I ran over here today because my internet went down while I was working from home.) People are very respectful of the rules re; quiet, etc., and are just generally very chill. There's also a great rooftop deck overlooking Lake Merritt which is mega-pleasant on nice days. It's a huge boon to my life that I have a membership at The Port Workspaces.

For such an expensive membership I wish there was more enforcement of quiet spaces since there are many phone booths . The Kaiser garden is great and there's even a cool dance studio ! The rooftop is just great when it's warm! The Office is near reasonable parking for the meeting participants, too, when compared to the other public garages. Kyle, the receptionist, was helpful and friendly. The hourly rate was reasonable, too, when compared to other coworking spaces nearby. I highly recommend this alternative when you are trying to work or have meetings in downtown Berkeley. It's a few blocks off Shattuck Avenue, but it's worth the short stroll.

It was fairly quiet with only a couple of people using this space the 2 times I have been here, so it felt pretty chill and relaxing.

The vibes were off, the owner tried to improvise by letting us bring music outside with a minimum volume limit but it didn't help much.

There are a few friendly front desk receptionists to greet you as well. I feel like the space is fairly clean, and the bathrooms are always clean and fully stocked as well. My favorite part was definitely the many private booths (that look like telephone booths) available to use throughout the shared space to quietly get some work done for a short period of time (there is a time limit to ensure all members and guests have access to these booths). Overall, this is a modern and nice area to work at, but sometimes it gets a bit too loud.
