The first was when my Christmas cards were not delivered on time, and now this latest issue involved a same-day personalized 24th anniversary card. I was away for the weekend celebrating my anniversary, so I asked my daughter to pick up the card for me. She went in the same day, but staff told her there was a problem with their printer. They said they would call once it was resolved, but no one ever followed up. When we returned home Monday, my daughter had already gone to school. Since Walgreens never contacted us, she later stopped by again to pick up the card. Unfortunately, it still was not ready. This time, she was told I needed to select a different size. She relayed that message to me, but when I went online, there was no option available to choose a different size. As a result, I had to make a card myself on regular paper, which was far less special than what I had originally ordered. After 20 years of using Walgreens for printing services, it is disappointing to see such a decline in reliability and customer service.

I go back at 3pm they say it's still not there. They blow up my phone at almost 5pm asking me to ask the doctor to change the dosage because the one they ordered is too high of a dosage. I ask them, why told you order a higher dosage vs what is on the prescription???? They try to tell me oh no that's how it comes bla bla that this exact dosage doesn't exist.... I am like ok so you're saying the doctor is wrong ? Why would I have to call the doctor and instruct them to change the dosage??? That is insane! I have never heard of something like this. What a waste of time! I had the prescription transferred to CVS and they literally filled it with no problem in 20min .... Meanwhile this Pharmacy tried to make it seem like it wasn't them who ordered the wrong pills..... come on now. First and last time going to this pharmacy.

When my child's physician requested a list of medications covered by insurance, the pharmacy said they would message back the doctor and never sent the message. I had to wait 2 days for prescription to be filled, got a call that it was ready and came back to pick it up and was told they were out of the medication and that it would be ordered and available the next day. Many problems here, and glad this isn't a life saving medication or we would be in a serious problem. Please get your protocols in place and make customer service a higher priority. After this experience I will use another location in the future.

Before that, I lived in a safeish neighborhood (but you still had to keep your eyes open) in South Bend, Indiana, for almost 2 years; and before that, I lived on Cleveland's Near West Side for a year. I know what it's like to live in a city, and I know that some rundown places seem much scarier than they really are, while some places with shiny new construction are more dangerous than they let on. In short, I don't exaggerate physical danger, mainly because our society and especially our media over-exaggerate it to death for additional eyeballs and clicks and Benjamins. In general, your neighborhood is safer than you think it is, even if you already think it's pretty safe. Plaza Gas and Diesel is a janky business in a dangerous area. In the eight or nine minutes I spent here, I rebuffed two people who offered to pump my gas for me and saw two others who probably shoplifted something from the store right before they stumbled out. That's four junkies in nine minutes, and I wasn't even over in the area where people are living in and among broken-down RVs and other vehicles. The entire area around this freeway offramp is seedy; but of the multiple gas stations, fast-food places, and the motel here, Plaza Gas and Diesel is by far the worst business. Everything looks and is old and falling apart. Unless you're really short of cash, saving a few pennies here just isn't worth. Pay-at-the-pump was broken when I was here, so I had to walk the too-far distance from the pumps to the store, which is on the first level of what looks like it used to be a hotel. Just going back and forth that distance was giving me the creeps, and that was before I saw anyone. When you see the Garlic Farm sign from the 101, keep on driving. There are plenty of other safer gas options nearby, especially if you're headed north.

Original prescriptions are processed almost immediately with further communication as necessary and drugs are immediately ordered if not in stock. Even drug deliveries arrive without delay. Annie, the pharmacist, was extremely helpful (and very patient) in figuring out what supplies could be available for my cat's diabetic needs. The staff manning the pickup stations offer friendly and efficient customer service. Tyler gives his efficient customer service with a sense of humor and is good with snappy comebacks which makes the interaction entertaining. Having such positive experiences with this pharmacy helps to alleviate some of the stress from dealing with health issues and having to take unwanted but necessary drugs.
