Saw recently that 787 had opened in this location. I've been to a few of their Manhattan locations and loved their coffee so was happy to see they had opened a new spot. After having the drink made twice it had no sweetness at all and tasted like a regular coffee. My partner had their coffee in the city and decided we should try to Bronx branch. Food: 4/5 Coffee is clearly the priority here. So, it is not suprising that their tea selection and snacks are okay. My bill (+ tip) was $14 for the matcha latte with oat milk and the breakfast taco. I felt that taco was mostly potato than chorizo so, I will probably not get it for $4.5 again. But, the latte was smooth (no clumps) and I appreciated the milk art. Environment: 5/5 This is a great place to bring your laptop and get some much needed weekend work done. I love this coffee shop, after a year of being part of this neighborhood all I can say is that everyone is glad they are here. The coffee is ridiculously good, they use their own beans. Their espresso is amazing! Lattes arent too sweet and not too milky, you can still taste the coffee. One thing I must comment on is the oatmilk, I think they are now using planet oat which really changed their oatmilk latte taste, before they used to use minor figures which gave their oatmilk latte such an incredible taste. Please go back to minor figures, the lattes don't taste the same and the quality doesn't feel the same. I would also love to see you guys using ceramic cups instead of paper. Too much waste! I will say that I'm disappointed by their brunch here. I had the French toast which at full price is $14. You're offered 4 slices of French toast, whipped cream, berries, maple butter and maple syrup. However, it was underwhelming in presentation, taste and not at all worth the cost. For some reason I hyped myself up to believe that I would be getting an in-house/"homemade" breakfast: 1/2-inch thick brioche slices for French toast, fresh berries, homemade whipped cream , etc. I got what I call, "could've made it at home myself". I guess the hype in my head came from the fact that this store promotes sourcing their own coffee beans from PR and I expected much more for their brunch. It was good! I ate it all, but it was underwhelming and I won't do that again. Their cookies are amazing! It's chocolaty and gooey for the right reasons and big! I've had their chai and teas and both were great. They offer a neighborhood discount at (10%) which is really nice of them. I felt welcomed here by the baristas and respect this brand and what it stands for, hence the 4 stars. Very disappointing first visit. It was November 25 @ 5:50 PM, was not aware that the establishment closes at 6:00 PM. We happen to be at the Christmas market next door and saw the cutest coffee shop with a sign outside that read "coquito latte", of course we had to come in and have a cup. The young woman that was there was rude, belligerent, not welcoming or pleasant in the least. We were told "WE ARE CLOSED" 5 times in the 10 minutes we were in the shop. We were not dining in, in fact, we were ordering to go. The young lady was slamming things, dropping stuff. Very disappointing. Don't think I would ever visit again.
