Good gas station. No outrageous upcharge for credit, clean and easy to access while driving past. I'm tired of the crazy upcharge some gas stations are charging for the use of credit sales. I suppose every business prefers cash but if you think about maybe why they want that seems suspicious. Ten cents extra per gallon is the standard and for convenience I'm ok with it. From day to day I don't like to touch germy money or fiddle with coins that get tossed around. Clean station. I noticed today some upgrades in landscaping. I like that. I would prefer my gas stations have lush landscaping. Take me to Hawaii when I pump gas. How about some palm trees, bird of paradise and maybe some hibiscus - yes, that sounds lovely. Easy to access when you leave the 92. At a stop light and when you exit you can continue in either direction safely. 76 is less than Chevron. I'm not sure if its as good. Never noticed anything. I drive to Hayward often and had to tonight. This gas station is right off the San Mateo Bridge so it's really convenient for lots of people and can get really, really busy. Tonight 3/13/07 the Regular 87 gas was $3.079.. filled up 9.436 gallons = $29.05 and they take Credit Cards. If you have CASH then best to drive up the road about 5 blocks (on the right) there's an Arco that was selling for $3.059!! The have Squeegees, didn't use the bathrooms so don't know. read more

I've been bringing my car to be washed here for years and I finally had it. I won't be back. #1The time it takes to wash the car has become over an hour for the inside and out. #2 the job that these new guys do is the worst. Leave it wet and messy. I ALWAYS need to tell them to take care of a missing spot or what not. #3 the products that they use are garbage. I've brought it up to their attention before, like the FAKE tire shine dressing that fades away in one day. Then it's the soap that leaves the car looking dry. I've been a monthly car wash for 2 years and been coming here for almost 5 years with goving them good tips every time. I always recommended this place but slowly, they have went down to a new low. What finally did it for me was the new crew and the last tire dressing that they applied literally came off when I drove my car home. Anyways Hayward carwash down the street charges $10 more for the monthly and even though it looks like they're swamped with cars to wash, they get them out QUICK! After paying $25 for a "gold" wash I had to still wipe the spots off my car. While doing this I find a scratch on my hood!! They say they will check the cameras, but of course they found no instance of where they could've scratched the hood! After having them re-wipe my car down it's still full of dust be on the dashboard manager sent employees out to tell me they found nothing and then she closes the door on my leg and walks off then another manager comes out and says we found nothing so we can re-wipe down,I told him forget it I have already decided to do it myself since they couldn't get the job done the first time and I was really disappointed I would never come back! I had to add another star b/c of a recent experience. I took my car here to be cleaned a couple of days ago and I have to mention again that the customer service of the guys cleaning the cars is FABULOUS! After they finished with my car, I noticed a little debris that was stuck to my carpets in the back seat. I can tell that they had vacuumed but that it didn't come up the first time. I asked them if they wouldn't mind just trying one more time to get it up (feeling at risk of being a Pain in the Ass...so I asked suuuupperr nicely!)...the guy was TOTALLY great and was like "Yeah, no problem!" He and another guy got the vacuums and WENT TO TOWN on my WHOLE car! I mean they vacuumed the front, back and seats again...when I got my car back it was SPOTLESS!!! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!! I paid 12 bucks for a touchless car wash. Then I find out its not touchless, but hand washed. This is fine, except if you are in a rush and find out you are going to be here a while. Instead of 10 minutes, I was there for 20 minutes. The area that you drive through appears to be broken. No brushes and there is liquid that drips on your car. Not sure if it is on purpose or not. The guys that run the wash station seem nice. When I get home I notice big patches of dirt that are not washed off. I calll them and they tell me to come back with a receipt. $11.99. NEVER AGAIN. I went in at 5:40 PM this Friday, filled my tank and chose the least expensive wash, which cost $11.99. The job they did was worth $2.99. They power hosed it off, washed the front with mitts, largely ignored the back, left streaks all over the windows and as far as I can tell "mimed" washing the hubcaps. Do not waste your money. At first I thought my car was gonna turn out sparkly clean so I even tipped the guys a couple bucks. This gas station is conveniently located near the 880 and the 90 interchange and sits on the corner of Jackson and Santa Clara just a block over. The gas prices are reasonable for the east bay. How reasonable? $2.99 for regular kinda reasonable. ;) They have snacks and beverages inside and other gas station things. No lotto tho. I think they do a decent job for the price, however, they need more workers doing the washing part. They do a prewash b4 u go into the, actual, car wash (touchless) which is nice. Only thing that bugs me is that, right now, during the prewash, the guy uses a regular hose with no nozzle what so ever. This wastes sooo much water. Basically, the hose is just running all day and 70% of the time, the hose is on the floor wasting water while the guy is scrubbing the car. As for the 2nd half of the wash (interior), I'm not sure if it's because it's a Friday at the endup of the day but the workers suck. Take too long. On their phones. Forgot to clean windows. Where do I start? First, I had to tell the cashier what I wanted 3 different times because she was to busy telling her friend about what she had done the night before or something. Then after pointing to the picture of the car wash i wanted she still got it wrong. I should have asked for my money back right away and left right then and there. Upon completion of my car wash I inspected my car to find they had wiped a sludge of some grease (don't think it was actually Armor All) across my entire dashboard, radio console, steering wheel & middle arm rest. When I asked for a wet wash cloth the attendant quickly whipped the interior with a dry cloth that did not remove any of the sludge. When I asked for a wet cloth so that I could attempt to clean up the mess myself they acted like I was asking for the impossible. I decided just to take my keys and try to clean the mess at home. On the way home I noticed over spray all over the interior of my car including my seats of the oily substance. The windows had swirl marks like a 5 year old had cleaned them and when I lifted the mats there was still crumbs and debris underneath. Did I mention the toxic cloud left by whatever bargain window cleaner they used. read more

I have been to this station several times and I am really confused as to why it takes so long to pump 20 gallons of gas? Every time I have been here it is like the gas comes out of the pump drop by drop. I could get gas across the street make the U-turn and cross the bridge before these gas pumps would be done pumping 20 gallons. I am also annoyed with the TV's at each pump - do not spend money on putting in TV - make the gas pumps work expeditiously! Also, last time I was there I has so much time while I was waiting for my gas to pump I made the HUGE mistake of using their squeegee to wash my windshield - but someone before me put some sort of gooey stuff on it and it is on my windshield and wont come off - it is just smeared all over. This Valero car wash station always does a great job on my car. I got some new car mats so I put the old ones in my trunk and asked them to vacuum them too and they guy happily agreed. A lot of car wash places miss spots and I always have to point them out when they finish with my car but I've never had to do that here. Last time I had a valuable that fell in between my seats and I was unaware of it. When I got in my car I found it sitting right there in the cup holder, so it speaks volumes to the integrity of their employees. read more
