Easy in a pinch, but when we stopped in to gas up the inside was locked up tight at 11:45 am in the morning... So odd and strange. In a modern day and age sometimes you want to pay with cash as not only do you save in price per gallon, but you avoid using machines that are potentially tampered with. Also who doesn't enjoy a nice beverage or snack from the convenience store inside... Kind of impossible to enjoy any of those when the store is locked up with no sign or notice... Perhaps someone missed their shift and they couldn't find anyone to fill in? We usually only pop by to gas up and maybe for a snack... When there is someone physically present, the service is polite. I believe there's 12 pumps in total. Air & Water to the side like most gas stations and directly behind it is their Car Wash, which I guess is a hit or a miss. Everything is pretty modern and renovated. It's a pretty spacious 76 off Colorado Street/Pacific Avenue. Fairly reasonable prices among competitors. read more

I tried to get the 25 cents off per gallon but it didn't show up on the gas pump, so I figured I needed to do the wash first. I did the wash (worst wash ever btw, see pics) and then went in to see how to get the 25 cents per gallon off that was promised. They said someone was working on the car wash before so I couldn't get the money off. The workers were rude and unapologetic. So I went across the street to get gas, where it is cheaper and better. Fix your credit card machine. I tried several times and it does not work. I just ended up leaving because I don't have time.

The cashier man was the rudest man ever. He told me to get off the phone when I'm paying for my stuff. Like why? You are not asking me questions. Just ring me up. Then he said he didn't have a dollar he needed and asked me for a dollar when giving me my change. I said I don't have one. I just had a 100 dollar bill. Then he didn't want to give me my receipt because he took like 4 dollars extra from me and then I go outside to pump gas and he said he forgot to give me gas so I had to go back in to the register again. Good drive through car wash. The $12 wash left my car super clean and looking good. Can't beat the price or quickness. I purchased the wash at the pump and got .10 off every gallon. On the way in, I could see you can buy monthly memberships to the wash. I think it was 29.99 per month for unlimited washes. Saves some money. I saw some posts about the smell of the wash. I didn't catch it, but then again my windows were rolled up. I hoped on the freeway after to rid the car of the water droplets left behind after the air dry. read more

When I called to ask about this excess charge, they told me that they typically charge a little more and that excess charge "falls off" after a few days. After waiting a few days, the charge did not go away. I called the gas station again and they said they will not refund me because I bought 18 gallons of gas. This is IMPOSSIBLE since my car only has a 15.8 gallon tank. They refused to refund me and are clearly stealing money from their customers. I don't recommend the car wash. I went through with just a "hyper" basic wash (enough for someone who washes their car almost every time they fill up), it left residue all over my window. I went in to talk to the attendant about it. Pulled my receipt out and told him how much I paid, his immediate response was "that's why". This leaves me wondering if that's really why, or if he was trying to put some sort of blame on me for not buying an overpriced machine wash. Anyway, he walked out to verify that my windshield had residue, fair enough. His solution was not to apologize, complain that he's really busy today, issue me another car wash - not an upgrade (remember he said "that's why" earlier), and send me on my way. I went through immediately - same thing happened. My time is more valuable than arguing over $8 - so I didn't go back inside. Very RUDE staff! Spoke to Nasrin who was the cashier along with her husband who claims to not work here when I asked for his name. Here's what happened... I bought a $12 car wash from them and the wash stopped working. I waited 30 mins in line for nothing. I called their number to inform them and they said it's "my fault" and hung up. I called again and asked for a service representative to at least come out and check. He asked what's wrong and I told him it's not working. He said "Go through when there's a green light and stop when there's a red light". I said, "That's the thing... I entered when there was a green light and after that all lights shut off. There was no red light. No lights at all that were lit". He told me to go inside and get a code to do it all over again. I asked if I had to go back in line and wait for another 30 mins and he said yeah. So I asked for a refund. He said he'd give me a refund and a free wash. That was a lie to look good in front of the other customers waiting in line behind me at the car wash. When I went inside to explain to the woman the situation, she looked upset at me. She called for her husband and he came in and they spoke in Punjabi to each other. Very rude and unprofessional when dealing with a customer. Then he gave me a code and told me to get back in line. I asked where my refunded receipt was?? He said I can't get a refund. Just to use the code. I said I don't want a car wash anymore if in total I'm waiting an hour for a drive thru wash and asked to just get a refund bcus he's going back on his words. He just said here's the code, that's your refund! I decided I was fed up bcus there's no point in arguing with a liar or someone who isn't there to help and isn't respectful. This 76 station is great. The guys that work behind the counter are nice and overly accommodating. I found an old picture of ex Rebecca today while cleaning out my place. Rain leaked in and I had to move things around. It was us from our trip to Mexico, we took pics in a photo booth. They were in color and I forgot how green your eyes were. I got lost in a memory watching you laugh in that picture. I could almost hear you laughing again. I loved how you would laugh, sometimes so hard you covered your mouth bc you were embarrassed at how loud you were when I made you laugh. I lived for that sound, proof that I could make you happy. My therapist says I look for sad women to date and that somehow by making them laugh and be happy, even for a moment, I'm trying to fix them. She yes kind of right. I'm looking for someone that has a laugh like my ex Rebecca. Everyone that works here has a smile on their face and the bathrooms are clean. read more

I am old enough to remember that when my Pops drove into a Service Station (note that this type of business is no longer called a service station but is now called a Gas Station) you had an attendant, usually dressed in a uniform, approach the driver's window and ask if you wanted "regular or premium." He then proceeded to pump the gas for you. he would also ask if he could check your oil and wash your windows. Sounds like something out of a Fantasy or Dream, right? No it was the way it was not that many years ago. In any event in my search for the cheapest gas in town i asked an Uber driver where he went to get gassed. He said that this 76 station was the cheapest in town. And it is. Plus you can use your Union 76 gas card here AND get 10 cents off the stated price. (pump price was 2.79, after i swiped my 76 card, the price clicked down to 2.69) All of the pumps were working today (not always the case at many other stations) and the place was jumping with Glendalians from all points in Glendale there to take advantage of the low per gallon price. I ventured inside of the snack shop and everything was clean, well stocked, sandwiches all in code. Service here is non-existent. But in case you venture inside the snack shop there is a dude taking money and answering questions. He is more interested in accuracy not being your friend. Then again i'm here for the cheap, good quality gasoline not making a new friend. All in all the big draw here is the gasoline price and the fact that this is Union 76 gasoline one of the best refiners out there. If you are hungry, caffeine or nicotine deprived you can do that here also. There is a sign on the door listing Cigs as $6.79 a box. GULP! i remember when they were $2.00. read more

Just had the worst in-person customer service experience I can remember. It was at the 76 on Colorado Blvd and Pacific in Glendale, CA, and the person working there was named Alex. I have literally never made a complaint about any company or employee before, but this was just such a surprisingly rude interaction. I had never been to this station before (when I'm in the area I use the Sinclair station across the street) but this time I tried the 76. While my tank was filling, I went in to see if they had a restroom. As soon as I walked in the door, I scanned the small station, spotted the restroom sign and headed towards it. This is the interaction I had with the employee there, Alex: Alex (aggressively): Can I help you? Me: I was just going to use your restroom. Alex then picks up a pylon from somewhere on the floor. There is a sign taped to it saying to ask attendant to use restroom. Based on its placement on floor, I had not seen this sign. Alex: Now you've been in here before. What makes you think that you can just walk back to the bathroom? Me: I have never been here before. Alex: Then how did you know where the bathroom was? Me: I saw that restroom sign right there (point to it) when I walked in. Alex: (sarcastically) Oh yeah, you had a real good view there. (drops the pylon in front of me, it was not blocking path to restroom before). Restroom's closed. I left, and I will never come back to this or any other 76 station. I couldn't care less about your restroom policy, but the sarcasm and accusing a paying first-time customer of lying was just so beyond ridiculous. Everybody has enough stress in their lives already, so to start my day (and my hour and a half daily commute) dealing with animosity like this is just so not needed. If Alex is having personal problems, I hope he works them out, but maybe he shouldn't take them out on random strangers who are giving his employer their money. I've worked in many service jobs including a gas station, and would have been fired on the spot for treating a customer that way. 76 needs to improve its hiring and training policy, and maybe steer clear of employees who aren't suited to interact with the public. (I also posted on Facebook and the 76 corporate site. Based on the other experiences I see here on Yelp, the corporate office may need to fire everybody at this station and start over.) read more

I come here for the car wash only. I really love this car wash because it rinses clean and also the dryer moves back and forth along the car. I hate playing the drive through the dryer game at other car washes and I love that this one takes the guess work out of it. My car has a sloped back window that the rollers in other washes do not always reach. This one gets it completely clean. I went to buy $204 of lottery tickets for my weekly lottery pool today but the clerk scanned my prefilled tickets and said it was $218. I use the same tickets everywhere every week so I know for a fact it's $204. I asked the guy behind the counter to let me see the tickets so I can find the mistake. He did not want to let me see them and said I had to pay 1st. I asked again nicely to let me see because my pool is $204 and I am not paying for his mistakes. He said no, money first. Please don't wash your car here, I just bought a new car and wanted to get a quick wash and when I went to fill up noticed a ton of surface scratches on my hood, roof, and trunk not a big deal, a buff would clear that right off but worse off I noticed a deep dark scratches on the antenna and right side of hood, and my car came out dirtier than when it came in I tried calling however I can't even leave a message. Attendant is far from being helpful. I came inside to complain about the air pump told him that it is not working but instead keep insisting that it works. I explained to him that the "digital pump" is giving me errors and that instead of putting in more air I am actually losing pressure. I put in $3 for my 2 attempts of pumping air to no avail. The attendant won't refund me my money and instead blamed me why I did not go to him to ask for free air. I always paid for my air. I always pump here because I like the digital gauge. But this time the machine is not working properly and the attendant just keeps insisting that it is even though he went outside with me and I showed him while I was pumping air I got the error message and he saw my psi dropping instead of going up. Just go elsewhere. The lady who was working in the front is so condescending. She should not be dealing with any customers. The customers were nicer than her maybe because they saw the way she treated others. Came here because it was the closest gas station to us. There is another one one mile away. I saw the bathroom and was walking to it. The lady stopped me and instead of saying there was a person in there she said "cant you read the sigh???" When I inquired about the vacuum machine outside eating TWO dollars of my money and not working, he said he couldn't do a thing about it and to call the 1-800 number on the machine...
