This station is the next to last station on this side of town if you are headed toward the TN line. It isn't the largest or most modern of gas stations, but it's our preference over many of the others. I feel a sense of safety here that I don't get from the other stations. It stems from the fact that the man running this one carries a gun on his person. It is visible at a glance and I feel, that alone, should deter most ne'er do wells and instill a sense of fear in anyone with thoughts of doing harm or damage to the business or any of its patrons.

The burger is fresh, never frozen, and was quite tasty, although the home fries were undercooked. But I did not mind, because the waitress was literally the most friendly I had experienced in awhile. There is a full menu, a hot food and soup/salad buffet, and plenty of home cooked pies for dessert. I grabbed a piece of pecan to go. In between Jackson and Memphis on I-40, this is a fun place to stop to grab a bite. While it would normally be 3 star, it received an extra star because it remains a friendly, clean, consistent dining spot in the area. Recommended.

There was enough space to navigate with our SUB while pulling a trailer, although carefully depending on how poorly the cars were parked in front of the store. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with all your normal necessities. Bonus points that the toilets, sinks, and paper towels were all touchless. There was a reasonable, but not overwhelming, assortment of snacks and drinks. There were several self-checkouts which meant no waiting in line once our selections were made. There was a subway that we didn't try and a Chester's that had great fried chicken and biscuits literally straight out of the oven. I'd stop again just for the potato wedges. Nothing was astonishingly amazing (except maybe the food from Chester's), but everything was very serviceable. The only negative was gas was quite a bit more than the travel stops ~15 miles in either direction.
