Between snowboarding all winter and camping all summer, my car takes a pretty solid beating, and they've become my go-to for the annual reset. Most recently, I brought it in after Burning Man, which was a whole different level of dirty. First, a PSA because I have to look this up every single time: they're inside the Bellevue Square parking garage on P3 and can be surprisingly hard to find. The easiest route I've found is entering the garage from 10th Ave and driving straight forward from the entrance. The nearby elevator takes you up into the Hyatt and is also the easiest way to find your car again afterward. Now that I've written this down for all of you, perhaps I will finally remember it myself. I usually get the Elite package, and my car comes back spotless, smelling amazing, and feeling almost new. I've tried several other detailers in Seattle, including Eco Car's mobile detailing, and nothing has come close to the results I get at the Bellevue location. It's why I continue making the trek out here. For my post-Burning Man appointment, I upgraded to the Extreme Elite package. I wasn't expecting literal perfection given the amount of playa dust embedded in every conceivable crevice, but they did better than I expected. They got an incredible amount of dust out, including around the rubber seals, and pointed out some areas where I could consider paint correction. My car genuinely feels new again as long as I'm not squinting too hard into the tiniest nooks and crannies. I also really appreciate that they have bright inspection lights so you can actually look over the car before leaving, even in the dim garage. They also let you come back within a week if you notice something that needs a touch-up. For my fellow Burning Man people: I did a vinegar wash outside and vinegar wipe-down inside as soon as I got home to help neutralize the playa dust before bringing it in. I also attempted Calgon, which turned into a bizarre sticky, oily smudge fest on my car and required hot water to remove. Cannot personally recommend that experiment. One small hiccup on this most recent visit involved the garage rather than Eco Car. Because the Burning Man detail took more than five hours, I learned that the standard parking validation only covered the first five. When I tried to leave, I was told I owed $10 for the extra time. I remembered then that Eco Car had given me an additional ticket or validation on a previous long visit, but the parking attendant told me I couldn't turn around to ask and rather dismissively said, "it's ONLY $10." With cars lining up behind me, I just paid it. Not Eco Car's fault, but not a particularly pleasant way to end the visit either. If your detail is going to take more than five hours, definitely ask about parking before you leave. All that said, I'll absolutely keep coming back. I've tried to find somewhere closer that does as good a job, and so far, I haven't.

I dropped my car off at 8:30 AM on 8/4 for what should have been a straightforward process. Instead, I was treated to a masterclass in disorganization, zero internal communication, and passive-aggressive customer service. It starts the second you walk in. The front desk lady (whom I'll call Karen) was standoffish, rude, cold, and completely disorganized. They apparently don't use a scheduling system because I had to give her my full name, phone number, appointment time, and the reason I was there. She had no clue who I was meeting with, so she sent me to a guy at a nearby desk. I then had to repeat everything I had just told Karen to him--even though she was standing ten feet away. He also had no idea who I was. Finally, Howard (the person I actually booked with over the phone) came over from the next table. When I originally set up the appointment on 7/28, I gave them the exact make, model, and year of my vehicle --so they had all the details well in advance. Howard asked if I wanted additional work done while they had it, so I agreed to a full detail, which pushed my pickup to the next day (8/5). Completely fair. What isn't fair is the complete lack of basic automotive foresight. At 9:16 AM, I got a text saying the two tires needed more work than expected. I approved it by 9:31 AM, and they confirmed at 10:11 AM. Then... radio silence until 12:02 PM, when my point of contact texted asking for my wheel lock key. I admitted I didn't know what that was, but here's a thought: wouldn't it behoove a professional auto shop to ask about the vital key required to remove my tires when I booked the appointment on 7/28, or when I dropped the car off at 8:30 AM? So, at 12:30 PM--four hours after drop-off--they hadn't even started on my car. Howard called to ask if he could drive to the local dealership to get a key. Shortly after, he informed me the dealership would have to order the part (3-5 days out). Realizing Park Place Auto Salon is completely incompetent, I decided I was done. I texted Howard the next morning (8/5) letting him know I was cancelling the detail and picking up my car at 8:00 AM. I showed up at 8:00 AM. Howard was late and nowhere to be found. I was left waiting with Karen, who--true to form--was cold, unbothered, and didn't even offer me a seat, water, or coffee while I waited. When Howard finally rolled in, he went to check on the car, came back, and asked me, "Do you need the car today?" ...It's MY car! Why is that even a question?! He pulled the car around and casually mentioned he left the tire caps off so the dealership could see the wheel lock. I had to explicitly ask him to put my car back together and put the caps back on. To top it off, as I was leaving, he had the nerve to ask if I was "even going to go to the dealership." Brother, it doesn't matter what I do next. You messed up, wasted everyone's time, and showed a total lack of professionalism from start to finish. I remained polite through the entire nightmare, but this business is a joke. Avoid Park Place Auto Salon at all costs.

Being a drive-through type, it is not as thorough as one would hope. But for $8, it is a bargain! We will gladly have a carwash when we are in the area. The hours are slightly different than both the store and the gas station. Do double check before going. The cost can be pre-paid when getting gas or pay via the mini dedicated payment machine before entering the car wash. At least one person stays at the entry point to remind folks to put the car into neutral. All in all, it was easy, inexpensive, and did a perfectly good job on a dirty car. Thanks, Costco!

I like the easy street access to enter and exit this gas station. This makes it easier to head where you want to go without having to turn around.

The final 2 steps still didn't work. Back half of the car was still dirty. Drove around to the front with a soapy car. Notified the clerk and I was told to just take the car through again and that it's happened to her before. There were over 10 cars waiting in line and I wasn't going to spent another 30-40 mins there. I recommended they shut down to fix it and was told they'll let the manager know. He gave me 2 free car air fresheners when I asked as I think brown bear's car air fresheners are superior lol the scent is 10/10 imo. The young man holding the neutral sign was also friendly with a smile on his face and acknowledged each person in their vehicle. Super friendly and professional team!!! Most brown bear locations, especially the factoria location the team is usually teens or young men in their 20s no where to be found or on their phones and/or usually always rude or simply seem like they don't want to be there.
