**STAY AWAY**…read more Requested a quote for disposal and faucet replacement. This person was the first to respond and very quick to set up an appointment. Requested $89 up front to secure appointment. Day of the appointment came and I texted to verify arrival. I received no response. I tried to call the number I was texting. It clearly went to this person's phone; however, it immediately went to voicemail. It has been a week since I've received any communication. I've asked him to simply send the money back, but I'm sure it's long gone. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

Unprofessional, unreliable, and unresponsive…read more Scheduled service to install gas shutoff valve via Yelp. Did not show up. Plumber called the next day around 4PM, sorry he didn't get the Yelp notice until the next day. Asked if I still need service and said he was available now and his GPS was 29 minutes away from my address . Half hour later or so I got a text asking to send a pic of the current piping so he could get the right valve. Sent a pic, including a yard stick for perspective Over an hour later a plumber named Jason finally shows up, looks at the gas line and says he has to go to "Big Box Store". "Big Box Store" is about a 10 minute drive. Forty five minutes or so later Jason returns and tries a couple of valves. A few minutes later Jason tells me that I have old pipes and the valves don't fit. He has to go to a plumber supply store to find an adapter. At this point it's after 7PM and Jason says he will have to come back tomorrow afternoon. Jason snips the female adapter off the existing flex tube for reference. Then he says to pay him half the quote now and the other half tomorrow. So I get my check book. Jason balks and says he can't get to the bank anytime soon, can I pay cash. I ask for a receipt, expecting some kind of professional receipt. Dude tears off a piece of paper and writes in pencil how much I paid, how much I owe, the date, and a scribble that I assume is Jason's signature. Jason packs up his tools, but not before asking which tools are his and which are mine... Around noon the following day, I sent Jason a text asking if he found the right valve. Jason texts back thanking me for reminding him. A few minutes alter Jason sends me a text to send him a text when I get home from work.. When I left work, I sent him a text that I should be home in 20 minutes. I get home and had not received a reply so I call Jason and get no answer. A few minutes later, Jason sent a text that he will be there shortly An hour later I call for an ETA, again no answer. I get a text that he hasn't forgotten me, but needs to go get fuel. It doesn't take an hour to go to the gas station. An hour after that, Jason sends another text that he will be a few more minutes because he is trying to figure out how to get fuel. After another hour, I called Jason and this time he actually answers. Sorry bud, I don't have any diesel or any money for fuel or smokes. Can't get out to there tonite. At this point I'm not too pleased and remind Jason that he's not the only one without any gas. He turned off the main last night so I don't have heat or hot water. I paid in cash last night. How you does he not have any money for fuel? Eventually, Jason is like "Alright man, I'll go to 'Big Box Store' and pick up a valve". So I had to remind him about going to look for the adapter. I got the feeling that Jason had totally forgotten what happened the previous day Oh yeah yeah yeah, now Jason remembers. So he doesn't have a valve or an adapter, but he does has a cap. He'll be out soon to put a cap on the open gas line in the kitchen. Then Jason laments that he might run out of gas but he will be out soon. Needless to say, Jason never showed. I think he realized a gas valve was more than "The Master Plumber" could handle. So he cashed out and left me literally in the cold Stay away from this guy.

I called them for an urgent underground service pipeline water leak, and after a $90 "service fee," I was hit with an additional $225 inspection fee--something they failed to mention upfront. So much for transparency, right? The total ended up being $315 just for someone to look at my property. If I had known about these hidden costs, I would've gone elsewhere. The technician, Lee, was knowledgeable and found my leak, but that's where the positives end. The company's communication is a mess. I was told the job would cost $8.3K which he failed to show me official breakdown costs and I'd get my $315 refunded if I went ahead with the repair. Spoiler alert: I never got that refund. After the job was done, I found a competitor who could do the same work for around half the price, so you can imagine how I felt about spending that extra 3K. I probably would have got better costumer service too, anyone would be better than A1. I found myself scramming around billing errors, including a quote with my name misspelled and incorrect details. There was a complete lack of professionalism, and nobody bothered to confirm even the most basic information. The job itself was an even bigger disaster. Tim and Alec, the manager and technician, were clearly skilled but completely lacked basic customer service skills. They told me the project would take 3-4 days, but it dragged on for over two weeks due to lack of communication. And don't get me started on the shoddy work--my driveway was completely torn up for a week. They left their dirty handprints everywhere on my wall and the hacking and slashing of my walls and floors wasn't exactly the "clean" work I expected for the price I was paying. The holes they left were so poorly done that I could see outside from inside my house. Also If I hadn't insisted they at least patch my outside holes up FULLY, I'm pretty sure I'd still be looking at the great outdoors from my living room. The lack of attention to detail is astounding. And now it's my responsibility to fix it as they don't do drywall/flooring repair. Communication was nonexistent. After the leak was fixed, I was told cement would be poured to refill my driveway, but no one ever followed up on when. I waited three days with NO COMMUNICATION. Until I had to call Tim, who was uninformed that my inspection had already passed. Then, after the job was supposedly "complete," the backfill was poorly done, and they left paint-job& debris all over my driveway. They left my yard a mess and then told me it was my job to move the bricks around the new valve box they installed. I'm paying you to handle everything--why is this my responsibility? Unprofessional. To sum it up: the job was overpriced, the costumer service and satisfaction was awful, and the communication was non-existent. Sure, the leak is fixed, but I'm left with a bigger house mess and a bill I regret. Do yourself a favor and get multiple quotes before considering this company. I won't be calling A1 again, that's for sure.

The first day cost me 300, then said he had to come back the next day which cost 300 more. Was some shady pricing. In total cost me $600 and the drain was still clogged. Called the rotor-rooter company after 5-star plumbing and the guy unclogged it in 10 minutes which cost $420. I would not recommend 5-star plumbing, I believe the plumber to be inexperienced and slightly shady in pricing. Stick with the pros Reply to owner: I see you changed your first reply which is fine ( in photos). If you no longer wish to refund me. To reply to my issues: you said a price via text of 300 dollars then sent me and invoice for $360,( in photo) citing you checked the pipes. Only after being confronted with the issue, did you come up with "I went over the rental time for the snake, therefore I would be charged" This is my issue, besides another company coming in and resolving the issues in less than 30 mins. You told I had a collapsed pipe in the front yard (photo), to which roto-rotor found no evidence.(photo)
