From the moment I met Emma, I knew she was the one that would transform our bathroom into a space we would love.

I am writing this letter to share my deeply frustrating experience with Nativa Interiors and to…read morewarn fellow shoppers in La Jolla and San Diego County. While my specific issue occurred at this Nativa Interiors location, consumers should note that owner Silvina Petrate also operates other furniture stores in the area, including Hold It Contemporary Home in Mission Valley and DFO (Designer Furniture Outlet) on Miramar Road. My experience with this company has been awful. I deeply regret making a purchase and sincerely wish I had been fully aware of their customer service standards and business practices prior to buying. I am sharing this information so others can proceed with caution before spending their hard-earned money. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile for Nativa Furniture (which also operates as Nativa Interiors and World Master Craftsmen, Inc.) contains several critical details regarding their business practices as of April 2026. The company is not BBB Accredited, meaning it has not sought or met the BBB's standards for trust, which include a commitment to make a good-faith effort to resolve consumer complaints. The BBB has also issued licensing alerts stating they have been unable to verify whether the company is properly licensed with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services for home furniture sales, or with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) for furniture installations that may require a contractor's license. The BBB profile also references multiple consumer complaints involving alleged breach of contract, where customers state the terms of the sale, delivery, or product quality were not met as originally agreed. Other complaints describe significant difficulty obtaining refunds or exercising return rights, even when items were delivered defective or did not match the order specifications. Consumers also report significant delivery delays, along with automated or unhelpful customer service responses when attempting to resolve issues. Additional complaints cite furniture arriving with structural defects or hardware issues that made assembly or installation difficult or impossible, along with other allegations of merchant misconduct. Unfortunately, we have experienced all of the above. We now sit with very expensive furniture that was delivered damaged and that the company refuses to take back.

I got the opportunity to work with Kate Griffin on an organization job that I needed for my home. I…read morecontacted her one week & she scheduled our appt. for early the following week. Which was such a breath of fresh air in this very active real estate market. Being a Realtor. I know all companies that are associated with real estate are experiencing lots of volume so that was very quick considering the market. To be honest I was in such need of moving this project forward. What a wonderful blessing we got started right away! I had moved into a new home and with the exception of a desk/chair and a bed. I only brought items that fit in a box. Or went in the closet. I initially contacted Blythe so I can get a design to get some furniture etc. but I had boxes all around the parameter of my home and couldn't get to the design until we went through all the boxes and had everything organized and put away. Over the years we can accumulate so many items that are so precious. IE: just to name one category. I had been saving a variety of keep sake items from over the years that were also in cardboard boxes and felt stuck not knowing what to do with them. I didn't know where to start. When Kate arrived she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. We opened every box and went through absolutely everything. She made what looked so overwhelming a breeze. She was able to help me discern what to keep and what to purge. I had a hard time parting ways with items I hadn't used in I can't even remember the last time I had used them. I even had kept boxes from vacuums and other appliances that she kindly pointed out were taking up space that we could use to organize other items in. Apparently, I needed the permission to get rid of it. Which when I did get rid of them. It felt freeing! We sorted through all sorts of items. Anywhere, from a variety of keep sakes (my daughter trophy's, various photos, bday and holiday cards I had collected over the years), office supplies, to electronics (she helped me discern what to keep - and what to recycle - phew - so nice to know you can recycle electronics), kitchen cabinets, cleaning supplies, cleaning appliances in a closet, to paperwork that needed to be shredded and had piled up over time (which I got done), misc. bathroom items, linen closet to labeling. By the time we were done it was after 6pm and we had lot of empty cardboard boxes to recycle. Even though she had been here for 4 hours on a intense and detailed job.... with a mask on... On a hot day. She wanted to ensure she didn't leave any task for that day not completed. She offered to help me break down and take out every last box (I live on the 3rd floor) which we did. Then we scheduled an appt. for the next day so we could get some containers etc. to efficiently organize the items. Bye bye cardboard boxes. What started off as a 3 hour process. Ended up being a 9 hour job over a span of 3 days. I'm so grateful Kate was available 3 days in a row to keep the flow of the process going. I can go on and on. When you don't know where to start it's sure great to have someone who is a professional organizer help you. Kate is experienced, professional, amazing, friendly, funny, jovial and someone you will feel comfortable having in your home.

She is incredibly professional, and has impeccable taste. Her team was always responsive to inquiries, and did a great job working within our budget. Another understated thing: she has a great network of specialists - fabric, wood, doors, steel, furniture, cabinets, window treatments, etc. Combining her eye and taste with the craftsmanship of these trades people yields some amazing results, including any custom create pieces you may want for your space and your vision. We've lost count of the number of times we have gotten compliments on pieces that she either found or personally designed for us. We used KW to help interior design and decorate the first ever home we owned. When we went to sell this home years later, it quickly became clear that her selections and finishing were a big part of the overwhelmingly positive response to our listing - which led to us selling the home in 6 days after listing! Oh, and the buyer wanted to purchase most of the pieces and furniture which KW had selected for the space :-) So when we moved into our new home, we naturally reached out to KW again to enlist her help for this place - and again it has made such an amazing difference. We built this house from the ground up, and her design aesthetic and touch has really made this house feel like a home. With interior design, the devil is in the details - and KW is on top of every single one!
