We called and left a message. A few minutes later a very sleepy sounding person called back and said that "something came up" and they weren't doing pony rides that day. She stated that rides would be happening the next weekend. We had driven 30 minutes for this experience. Needless to say, we never went back and won't be going back. It seems like the owner could have updated the website so that we wouldn't have made the drive. I understand that things come up and that life happens. I wish this organization the best, but my advice to anyone who might be hoping for a pony ride would be to call ahead!

She was absolutely sweet, understanding, knowledgeable, and very patient. My two cousins who went with me aren't very experienced riders, and she walked them through everything. Royal Creek has an amazing way of setting up the entire experience. They are really good at pairing the rider with the house -- not easy to do, but very well done. Once you arrive, you meet your "guide" and then are introduced to your horse. I really enjoyed the fact that you have some one on one time with the horse you'll be riding before you actually get on. You get to give your horse a brush down so they get comfortable with you, after that the horses are saddled up, and they take you to an indoor arena to ride around and get comfortable. Your guide will then make sure you're comfortable to take you out to the field where you'll ride around for a while. This was honestly one of the best horseback riding experiences I have had in a long time. Also, their prices are super reasonable. $105 for 3 people for an 1 1/2 hours

You are trusting people with an animal you love like family, and after everything Mimi and I had been through, peace and safety mattered more to me than anything. Since bringing Mimi here, I have watched her completely transform. She has softened. She rests deeply. She rolls in the pasture, frolics, naps in the sun, and settles more every single day. One of the things that struck me most when arriving here was seeing horses peacefully sleeping in the fields and stalls. Horses do not fully rest in environments where they feel unsafe, stressed, or uncared for. That alone spoke volumes to me. The facility is peaceful, clean, and constantly being improved. The staff has been kind, patient, welcoming, and genuinely caring not only toward the horses, but toward the people attached to them too. There is a calmness here that is hard to explain unless you experience it yourself. What I think people also need to remember is that horses are incredibly fragile animals. Even in the best barns, with the best owners, trainers, and veterinary care, heartbreaking things can still happen. Losses in the horse world are devastating, but reducing complex situations into vague online accusations without context is unfair and honestly incredibly damaging to people who are trying their hardest every single day. What matters to me is character, and these people showed theirs long before I ever boarded here. When I needed help getting Mimi out of an extremely difficult situation, they stepped in without hesitation when multiple haulers would not even go near my previous barn. They did not have to help me, but they did. That kindness, compassion, and willingness to help during one of the most stressful moments of my life is something I will never forget. The horse world already has enough cruelty, ego, and division in it. We do not need to destroy good people through gossip and social media whispers simply because tragedy exists in a world where tragedy unfortunately can happen. I can only speak from my own experience, and my experience has been one filled with support, compassion, transparency, and genuine care for the horses. Mimi is flourishing here, and that means more to me than internet noise ever will.

Moved my horse in Dec 2025, removed in April 2026 after 140 days. Biosecurity risks: hosts traveling horses with no quarantine, no disclosure, no cleaning -- even during EHV-1 outbreak. Overcrowded track system: 3 acres reduced to ~0.5 acre usable. 7-11 horses per track. Deep mud caused muscle atrophy, weight loss. Two horses euthanized due to bullying injuries. Contract violations: $5/night fee for mandated stalling, not in contract. Charged extra $90 in February. Negligence: Medical crises ignored. Injured horse discovered at night, owner not notified until next morning. Multiple horses euthanized after being bullied. Kindness existed, and the barn was clean. But this facility is dangerous. I purchased an OTTB from Win Row Farm and had a prepurchase exam done, except for x-rays, as I was…read moreassured by Amy that the horse was returned from the track (being told that this was one they had initially bred) only due to the fact that it was too slow and not interested in being a racehorse. The then-owner brought it back to Amy hoping it could have a second career as a hunter. The gelding passed the vet exam, bloodwork and flexion test, so I purchased him. I live out of state and had him shipped to me. The horse has had lameness issues shortly after purchasing. I've had him now for several years, had him on glucosamine/hoof care supplements for several years, glucosamine injections monthly now and now powdered bute. He's been x-rayed and found to have bone chips. I've tried to contact Amy by phone leaving a voice mail several times and texting her, and also emailing to see if there had been any previous x-rays performed being requested for review by my vet. NO RESPONSE!!! I then tried contacting her husband, Chris, by several methods. Again, NO RESPONSE!!!! This shows me they are not responsible horse sellers! I definitely do not recommend them.
