Jeff was my jump master for my tandem jump with over 6000 jumps he told me ....he was truly a professional as well as the rest of the staff. Everyone . went all out to double check all safety protocols. Watching other jumper take off and the graceful landing landings made me as well as other jumpers feel comfortable with the procedures. This was the best idea we have ever had! We had to reschedule multiple times during the day and finally found a time that worked with us. Even at 10pm they adjusted a time that worked for all 8 of us and they adjusted pricing for 8 people. Once we got there, we were greeted almost immediately. She took us in, we filled out all of the paperwork and then they took us to be suited up. Two planes up at a time, 2 people in each plane. I felt very comfortable with the person I jumped with and he explained what I need to do in a way I understood. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend. read more

BLUF: If you are thinking about skydiving, do it. And this is the place to do it. So, here's my story. I have always wanted to go skydiving. It's been a bucket list item for God knows how long. So, on my 44th birthday, my father-in-law got me a gift certificate for a tandem jump at Skydive Greene County. To be honest, I procrastinated for almost a year. Thankfully, it was good for 18 months. So, come March of 2019, I start trying to schedule a jump. Wouldn't you know it? Ohio weather has it out for the weekends in the spring. So after about 2 months of fighting with the weather (and calming my nerves), I managed to get scheduled for Memorial Day. Yes. THAT Memorial Day. The one where 14 tornadoes hit Ohio. However, since it was scheduled for noon, the sky just had some lazy puffies floating around. It was perfect. So I go in, visit the bathroom a couple of times, meet my cameraman (Rodney) and my instructor (Gary, who has over 9,000 jumps), get geared up, wish I could visit the bathroom one more time, and wait for the first bunch of people to land. I get on the plane last (which means I am at the head of the tube of toothpaste...no pressure or anything), and we take off. It takes about 10 minutes or so to get to altitude (10,000 ft above ground). Meanwhile, Gary is clipping me to his harness and tightening straps. We get to altitude and the cameraman opens the door. Gary and I scoot to the end of the bench and crab walk to the door. It was then that I realized how high we were and also that even if I wanted to back out, Gary wasn't. I was jumping. So I hold onto the harness and out we go! Now, I look up once in a while to see Rodney who's snapping pics and filming. We go through a cloud, and all I could concentrate on was breathing. You can't hear anything because of the wind. And then Gary pulls the cord. After a quick deceleration, it suddenly gets REALLY peaceful. I mean **REALLY** peaceful. We do some turns and look around. It was wonderful. And then we land. Right next to the X. I honestly can say I can't describe what I was feeling once I left the plane. I didn't have time to process it, other than we were falling REALLY REALLY fast. It was probably about 120mph, which is really fast for someone who has never driven over 90. Free fall felt like it took forever, but it was only about 30 seconds or so. And canopy time was probably about 3-4 minutes. Would I do it again? Absolutely. I want to be able to enjoy it. Am I glad I went to the bathroom a couple of times before? Oh yeah. If you made it this far, then you might as well schedule with Skydive Greene County. You won't regret it. read more

I wasn't ready for the summer to end. Neither was my friend Lez. After a rough year (for everybody, it seems), we wanted this season to go out with a blast, not a whimper. And we got our wish when a literal blast (of wind) greeted us upon jumping from a plane at 10,000 feet and then whisked us two miles down at 120 MPH. But alas, it's just what we signed up for and just what Skydive Greene County delivered! What an excellent memory this will give us both! I got my own video, which everyone tells me is both fun and exciting to watch and also ensures it's an experience we never forget. We did tandem skydiving, and my instructor Jacob, an affable fellow, did a great job using the GoPro. The audio is good most of the time, and he also got some excellent footage of us in the plane and flying through the air. Ashley, the lady signing us in and showing us the training film, was also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend SGC. And remember: You're not afraid, you're excited. Same energy, same hormone rush. But a different thought process. read more

I took my husband skydiving at Skydive Greene County for his 30th birthday and it was fantastic! The staff here are great, they couldn't have done a better job! Even though I didn't actually go skydiving myself (it was my husband, his brother & a friend) I still think the staff were great. They did a good job making me feel at ease (I was terrified to let my husband jump out of a perfectly good airplane!) and my husband had a blast. The tandem instructors were very thorough with their training before the jump and they were very friendly. My husbands tandem instructor was a guy named Brandon and he made me feel a little less nervous about the whole thing. The guy who did the video was great too, he tried to freak my husband out with jokes and stuff, but my husband was super calm so it turned out kinda funny. And the price was fantastic! They are having a special right now for their 50th anniversary so if you pay with cash then it's only $165 which is WAY better than any other place I checked out. We threw in a video & pictures so the total came to about $270 which is still pretty damn good. So now my husband wants to go skydiving all the time and he made it look like so much fun that I am thinking about going for my 30th birthday too. Skydive Greene County made it so easy and fun, I think if I decide to actually do it myself I will definitely go back to them. read more

I went skydiving for the first time here and had a fantastic experience. I called before to make a reservation for a friend and I, although it is not necessary to make reservations ahead of time as they take walk-ins. I went on a Sunday morning at 11 am, but they are open 7 days a week from 9 am until sunset. We showed up about 45 minutes early and they had no problem getting us started right then. We first signed some paperwork and watched a brief video, then met our instructors. They explained everything really thoroughly and definitely calmed my nerves. We went in August and the weather was extremely nice in the 70's, but I chose to wear a jumpsuit just because they explained that the temperature drops by 2 degrees for every 1000 feet in the sky. My friend, however, just went in his normal clothes. I wore jeans, tennis shoes and a close fitting t-shirt (to help fit into the suit). The whole process of paperwork, video and education was less than 1 hour, which was great. Once we were up in the plane and got to the 10,000 feet, it was time to jump. They reviewed all the instructions again while up in the plane and made me feel at ease. It was such an amazing experience- unlike anything else in life! The free-fall was pretty crazy, but my favorite was parachuting down and taking it all in. Next on my list is to go at sunset! Highly recommend this spot. read more

I went skydiving there recently. Made reservations a month in advance to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. 4 days before our dive they called to cancel. Not only was the lady on the phone rude she wouldn't even give us a slight discount for the major inconvenience. Finally, we went and the lady was still rude... My dive master was amazing though which made the experience 1000 times better. He was very knowledgeable and funny. My boyfriend enjoyed his gift, and it was definitely an experience of a lifetime. read more
