Mung Bean Milk Tea w boba
    Alan B.

It's been a long minute since we've visited 7 leaves but a friend is visiting and wanted to come so here we are. We were incredibly thrilled to discover left over reward points enough for a free large drink :) happy to redeem. We ordered a large house coffee, light ice, regular sugar with extra sea cream, large green Thai tea with light ice, light sweet and sea cream, and large Mung bean milk tea with light ice, extra sweet w boba on the app and the drinks were ready in a few minutes. Drinks were good as usual and the coffee really woke me up ( I ordered two espresso shots lol) The service was quick, incredibly friendly and courteous. There's these two cushy chairs by the door that I chilled with my friend and the place was nicely AC-ed. Most of the traffic was thru the drive thru so it was pleasantly quiet for our meet :)

The Thai ice tea is my favorite. Always refreshing and flavor is on point. The service is also great, when ordering through drive thru they are quick and the employee is always respectful and friendly. I've yet to go inside but from the window view it looks nice inside.

This location has become my regular weekly study spot! I hesitate to share (because I don't want it to get too crowded lol) but there is good parking, many outlets, enough room to work, not too much crowd (because it is mainly a drive-through), friendly staff, quick service, good drinks, and decently clean bathrooms. This is my favorite underrated, hidden gem, study spot.

I came here to get something to drink. There is a drive thru, but there is plenty of available parking spaces. I ordered the Oolong Milk Tea. It is good a good drink from 7 Leaves as always.

7 Leaves in Lynwood... a whole comedy show. I sat at the window for 10 minutes with NO cars behind me and not a single customer inside. Three employees on shift, but apparently only one actually works there -- the poor drive-thru girl who had to do everything. The other two? Fully committed to their phones and gossiping like they were on a lunch break in someone's living room. Wi-Fi was down, so they couldn't even lie about "mobile orders." Just vibes and laziness. I took a picture because the level of not caring was unbelievable. If management wants to know why the line moves slow, start with the two human paperweights at the counter. Do. Better.

Even though this is not the closest 7 Leaves Cafe to me, this was the very first 7 Leaves I've ever gone to, and whenever I find myself in South Gate and/or the surrounding areas, I try to stop by this 7 Leaves for a nice drink to sip on while getting stuck in traffic on the way home. You can find this 7 Leaves Cafe on the northeast corner of Atlantic and Imperial. You might see a Church's Chicken on Google Maps Street View, but that has since been converted into this bubble tea cafe. It is just west off the 710, but easier to get to if you're traveling northbound. If you're going south, you'd have to make a U turn somewhere on Imperial before arriving at this 7 Leaves. There isn't a whole lot of parking in the immediate lot, but I don't think you'd have trouble finding an open spot, even with Angelo's Burgers in the immediate vicinity. If you want to get back on the 710 immediately, I'd recommend parking by Walgreens on the other side of Atlantic; that lot is much more spacious. I've gotten a few drinks from there so far, and I've enjoyed all of them with the exception of the Vietnamese Coffee. The House Coffee is way better, but that's because it's on the sweeter side. The Vietnamese Coffee is more bitter, and even one of my Vietnamese co-workers admits it's an option she doesn't go for. The bobaristas have been friendly and helpful for the most part, answering whatever questions I have about the menu, which is posted on the front counter as well as the TVs in the back. A leaf icon indicates a customer favorite while a fire icon indicates a drink that can be made hot. Drink sizes for both hot and iced drinks can be found on the front counter. The upcharge for an upsize is less than a dollar, so I'd say it's worth it to go for a Large instead of a Regular. The interior isn't as spacious as the Artesia location where I've been to before, but there is bar style seating by the windows. There's also a mini lounge by the front door, and a larger communal table at the opposite end of the shop. I usually go for crystal boba in my drinks, and it has always been QQ. Great supplements to the drinks, which don't really have the best taste, but are good enough for a midafternoon pick-me-up. The drinks are usually sealed with plastic at the top, so you have to poke it with your straw first. Also, for drinks like the Sea Cream Jasmine Tea, the actual cream is at the top, and I personally find it kind of difficult to mix the cream into the rest of the drink. While it's a good drink that I'd recommend for tea connoisseurs, it's not one of my personal favorites despite the menu indicating it as a customer favorite. In addition to drinks, they serve a few small bites as well: Macarons, croffles, and a Ham & Brie, which I believe is a croissant. I haven't gotten any of them, however, so I can't make any further comment. If you want to remain in your car, this 7 Leaves location has a drive thru, retaining that aspect of the old Church's Chicken building. I know the Artesia drive thru line can spill out onto the streets, but I haven't actually paid attention to the drive thru here. The inside hasn't been that busy on all my visits, so I'd say your wait would be less compared to the Artesia location. As a walk-in customer, I don't think I've had to wait more than 3 minutes for my drinks to be ready. There are also signs advertising their rewards program, and I didn't know about it until my very first visit. After that, I registered for their rewards program, which I find very customer friendly because points, which are called leaves, do not expire, and if you have enough leaves for a free drink, you can also add as many toppings as you'd like without having to pay! The only drawback with the rewards app is that if you make a purchase, but forget to scan your QR code, then you left some leaves on the table. Be sure to have your app open if you want to get credit for your visit! Overall, while not the best 7 Leaves out there, it's a good solid location to go to if you're craving something refreshing while in the area. They opened at about this time last year, so I can see this 7 Leaves thriving for a while.

I love coming to this location for a quick pick me up! I've been coming to 7 Leaves for at least 12 years now & it is just an all time favorite! The staff at this Lynwood location is always so awesome & kind. I was there today (June 4) and Lali was taking me order, great customer service & just overall vibes! This location has drinks other locations don't have like the Spanish & Honey Latte, it's worth a try! Definitely will be back here!

My husband went into this location as he was in the area and we don't have a 7 leaves near us (Bakersfield) my go to is always a Thai tea. Unfortunately this Thai tea was not good. It was beyond grainy and the flavor was not pleasant. We will try and again at a different location another time we are in the Los Angeles area.

The service here - and usually at every 7 leaves is always so quick. We absolutely love the house coffee, matcha, and croffle. There's usually not too many people but that makes it so your order is done faster :)

The service here and drinks are always good and quick ! Eileen or Aileen ( not sure how to spell her name ) was super sweet and went out of her way to offer us a water and that was just beyond generous. Will continue to come back to this location (:

    Vietnamese Coffee

This should not be the normal amount of ice put into the drinks. 80% ice 20% coffee, very disappointed I wasn't able to enjoy my coffee because it was finished in less than 2 minutes. I understand it is an iced drink but the ice to coffee ratio is not fair!

Is there space to study at this location?

Kind of. It depends on your study vibe. There's not a lot of space, and it can get busy and noisy. It works for me, but for some, like my girlfriend, it would be too distracting.

Okay, I think there's enough for me to give the Downey 7 Leaves Cafe a 4th star, but they still…read morehave quite a lot of work to do to garner the 5th star from me. I was planning to check out a weekend pop-up at the Promenade at Downey, and afterwards, I just wanted to chill with a couple of drinks at 7 Leaves. Wait, *a couple* of drinks? Oh yes! I noticed that 7 Leaves had an offer for rewards members: Free Strawberry Hibiscus Tea with a $5 purchase. I could have gotten a couple small bites e.g. macarons with the Strawberry Hibiscus Tea, but I chose to get another refresher: Summer Mint, priced at $5.50. I don't think the offer would have worked inside the cafe, so I placed my order in my car and headed inside after doing so. Previously in the app, I was able to order all the toppings for a complimentary drink at no extra charge, but these days, you're only allowed one complimentary topping; I chose the crystal boba. I needed to use the restroom, so while my drinks were being crafted, the bobarista at the front gave me the six-digit code specifically for the left restroom. Was the right restroom reserved for employees only? Hmm not sure. However, as soon as I punched in the code for the left restroom, it was still locked because another customer was inside. I wouldn't have known if it was occupied or not, so I tried the code on the right restroom. Didn't work. I had to wait for that other customer to exit the restroom before I could punch in the restroom code for the third time. As soon as I left the restroom, I heard the bobarista call out my name, and she handed me my drinks in a takeout bag with a drink carrier holding my drinks. But since there was space on the community table by the front counter, I sat at an open seat there to enjoy my drinks and scroll through my phone. My takeout bag included two straws: one regular, and one boba. I went with the Regular Size Summer Mint since it was already over $5, and 40 oz of refreshing drinks would already be quite a lot in one visit anyways. I also declined on a topping, normally 90 cents, for the Summer Mint because with or without a topping, I would still only earn 6 leaves on my purchase. The Strawberry Hibiscus Tea didn't have any actual strawberry bits, but it did have a slice of lime in it. In the app, you can request extra sweet, but that drink was already inherently quite sweet that I fear if I had chosen extra sweet, it would have been over the top. The Summer Mint had a slice of orange and some basil leaves. It was kind of sour and had quite a citrus-y taste, a stark contrast from the strawberry hibiscus that I alternated sips between the two drinks so that my taste buds wouldn't be bored lol. If you wanted to go extra sweet on this one, I wouldn't recommend against it, but it may take away from the intended flavor of the refresher. For both drinks, I ordered Easy Ice, but I think they went Medium on the ice if that makes sense. It was more than I was expecting, so maybe I should request no ice next time lol. They have a pitcher of water at the front counter, which made me want to finish my drinks inside, and then fill up the cups with some H2O prior to leaving. Unfortunately, they had run out of water, and they didn't refill the pitcher. One thing I do want to mention about the drink carrier is that you need to shove the drinks into the slots. I tried setting my Strawberry Hibiscus Tea back inside, but it toppled over easily. Luckily, it was still sealed at the time, so nothing, or maybe a little bit at best, spilled out. The only negative about my last visit was that there was some little kid who came into the cafe trying to sell paletas to patrons who were studying or getting work done inside. Kind of disruptive to the coffee shop ambience I had sought, but he left after a couple of minutes. Overall, I'd be willing to return for a nice refreshing drink next time I'm in Downey!

OMGOSH YES, I recommend this place! There are several 7 Leaves Cafes in the Orange County, CA area,…read moreand all have been very good. The drinks aren't so cheap, but I just crave the Thai iced tea. It's more sugar than anyone should have at one sitting, but since it's so good, I still take the chance. The Thai tea is very strong and that mixes well with the cream? half-and-half? sweetened condensed milk? that floats on top. We've also had the iced coffee with sea salt. Talk about a flavor bomb! The iced coffee comes with some kind of cream float on top and has sprinkles of sea salt. Perfection! We have visited many of the drive-throughs, and they are fast and friendly as are the walk-in cafes.
