It's been over 8 weeks since I got the perm and my hatred for this place just grew more and more. Not only my hair still looks like €hit. It is incredibly damaged and fried. Besides the perm making me look 15 years older, the length is so short, way shorter than what we discussed before he chopped it off. And the worst thing is, the cut he gave me is simply awful! He gave me more volume around the middle part of my hair and thinned out all the ends, it literally looks like a mullet. Not the style that I'm going for. I've tried to make it straight with a straightening iron and it still looks like €hit. I've had bad haircuts in the past, but this place is to a whole new level, it's so horrible that I'm actually writing another updated review. To say that I'm upset is an understatement. The hair even looks like crap in a ponytail. And yes sure I'll grow it back, but it sure will take at least another 6 months to do so. And that's 6 months of embarrassments, family photos, events and friend gatherings. Ok, I'm done ranting. Thanks for reading read more

7 Hair Extension Studio - Grandmother hair! I want my hair back!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Flushing, New York

This little joint on the 2nd floor of Dabo eyewear in Flushing is a hidden gem! I was looking for a hair extension salon for particularly asian hair types, and found this place. First time getting hair extensions and I was very pleased with the results. Paul and Aily did a great job on my root touch ups and was very quick. Took about 3 hours or more for the whole process and was worth every moment! Also, very friendly environment- not pushy at all! Will be back soon! read more

Great place to get a haircut with real courtesy, professional and friendliness from the staff. Came in to get a cut prior to my vacation and communicated what I wanted with my stylist and he did an excellent job. Exactly what I wanted and he did everything without me even asking. The place is neat and clean, real comfortable place to get a proper cut. The prices are extremely affordable for the area and can't be beat. Will be my new location for cuts and highly recommended for all to get a cut here! read more

Had a very bad haircut. Please avoid this place. Bad technique, bad taste, bad communication. The stylist didn't even communicate with me what he wanted to do with my hair before starting. I trusted him and asked for a style that'd suit me the best cuz I wanted a change. And it looked awful, and I had to visit another hair salon to get it fixed. Irresponsible, bad taste, bad communication, bad service, expensive. read more

Paul has been my stylist for the past number of years. He's very skillful in what he does, from cutting, coloring to hair extensions. He also works with hair of all ethnicities. I really respect him as a professional. He always takes the time to discuss with his clients before anything and gives realistic expectations. And he's never pushy with treatments and products like the other stylists out there. Paul does an absolutely phenomenal job with hair extensions as you can see from the clients' photos. His brand new salon is very nice and all of the staff are so amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I'm looking for reasonably priced yet high quality salon service. read more

I came here to get partial hair extensions and they did a great job! They were able to match my hair perfectly and the staff is friendly and efficient. All together it took 2.5 hours and it cost around $400-$450. Highly recommended! read more

This salon actually saved me. I originally got my hair cut at another salon but they did such a bad job. My hair was chopped so short and uneven everywhere. I desperately looked around to find a place that could give me hair extensions to fix that entire mess. I found 7 Hair Extension Studio on yelp the night of and went to Paul the next day. He was so nice and reassuring. Sitting with him before anything started, I already felt so much better when he said he could help me. It took a few hours but finally he fixed my hair exactly as he said. The result was amazing it's like a miracle. I just want to really thank the staff for their great service and just doing such a good job! read more

I randomly found this place on Yelp late last year. I was interested in balayage for my hair and ended up doing both balayage and extensions. The first visit, Paul was very gracious in making an appointment for me and spending a lot of time getting my hair colored and extensions added (I did a half set). I loved it! It was originally a grayish-blonde. My second visit, I changed up the color to a purple. I fell in love with the purple so much that when I went back for my third visit to redo my extensions I asked for the purple and also recolored my hair to match. Everyone is so friendly in the salon. It is a cozy and intimate space. I would hands down be back again. Half set of extensions are reasonably priced and last around 3-4 months, depending on how fast your hair grows and good care and maintenance. Thanks guys for making my hair look amazing! I can't wait to be back to switch it up. read more

If I can give this a negative review I would. He is the absolute worst. Make sure you repeat everything a million times and be super careful he will cut all the extensions you paid for and then call the cops on you when you ask him. They are both thieves! The absolute worst customer service I've ever seen with a very unprofessional way of handling things. I've never been this upset after leaving somewhere. The absolute worst! Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra money because these people will take your money and do a shit job! read more

Paul is a very experienced hairdresser. After some communication of the style you want, he gives you exactly that! He will also adjust accordingly to have a better and long lasting hairstyle, not like after u washed ur hair it's all gone. It's the cutting skill not all that styling bs. He is a keeper! read more

I have been having my hair cut by Paul for over 8 years and he is truly fantastic! I have had such bad experiences in the past with hairdressers, but from my very first cut with Paul he has always put me at ease, and I have always left the salon completely in love with my hair. For color - he was absolutely amazing. He took his time and really perfected my color. My hair felt brightened and healthy with the exact color and tone I requested. He always listens, and advises practical and professional advice. Paul is highly qualified and exceptionally talented. I would certainly recommend him! read more

Paul has been my hair dresser for years. I was very happy to see him eventually establish his own business. This place is small and neat, nothing fancy. But Paul knows hair, especially if you don't have sleek straight typical Asian hair. He knew what cut fit me the best for daily management first time we met. While most Asian stylists advocate and only do multi-layer cut, he knew it wouldnt work on my wavy frizzy hair, and he gave me a medium length cut which I fell in love immediately and never changed since then. This new place also has a manicure desk, so while you wait for Paul you can get the nails done. Price value is super high. Paul keeps improving his technical skill. He is now VS certified. If you are looking a practical long-term hair dresser, Paul is a very good choice. Highly recommended! read more
