Older lady is just rude!!! I didn't know you couldn't buy a scratcher on a credit card so I told her I didn't want it. Had a little fit!

Am I nuts or what. Two 7-Eleven reviews in the same week. Oh well, let's just say I am anxious to…read moreboost my "first to review" #'s and provide information about this business. This store is located just enough off of Shore Dr. and Pleasure House Rd. that few even know it's even there unless your local to CXB. This 7/11 is right behind Walgreens and just never seems busy. That of course always makes me wonder if this store will survive with two other stores in the chain within two miles, a WaWa and Walgreen's across the street. Even though this location is closer to me than others, I use it less frequently. I will usually utilize WaWa across the street first to be honest. The strip that this stores sets on has a Chanello's pizza on the opposite corner. The lot is kept up and on my most recent visit an older man was sweeping up. Unfortunately, he was also taking his smoke break at the same time as he worked. Having a ton of firewood out on the front walk for sale makes me question the managers sanity. This 7-Eleven does not have fuel service which is usually representative of smaller square footage store and that is the case here. It is quite obvious that this is a dated store when you look around. However, it is clean and well organized and gets a pass by my scrutinizing eyes. The deli case is smaller than other stores and it appears overall to be less inventory on the shelves which would make sense. One thing that they do not have a shortage of it beer and wine which I imagine due to it's location close to the beach and moves well. A glaring difference for me is the coffee. They have the pots on the Bunn maker unlike the large containers in upgraded stores. The taste is the same, so no issues other than it is easier to dispense the coffee from the containers. The service has been spotty at times. On my most recent visit in the early AM I was not acknowledged at all. The clerk was too busy moving stock from the back room onto the shelves. When it was time to check out it was fine, but nothing exciting making me want to come back. Other times it has been better. This location gets the job done for a quick coffee visit. But nothing for me to get excited about. I would not go out of your way.

But it is surrounded by development. There's absolutely no room for expansion. In the mid 80's, before the internet, it was the closest spot to get the Sunday editions of the Washington Post & New York Times. You had to be there early. Those papers sold out quickly. It's been a long time since I've been inside the store itself. My reason for choosing this spot was that it was the last day before my 7-Eleven Rewards fuel discount expired. There was no doubt that I would use this location. The App has started highlighting the 7-Eleven with the lowest price. Normally most in the Independence Corridor have the same price. But I noticed while doing errands that a 7-Eleven where I stop often had a pump price of $4.04. This location was $3.99. Since I had a 45 cents discount my price per gallon was a discounted to an amount that would have made me gasp a few months ago. My tank wasn't even near empty. But that wasn't a discount that could be missed.

Today I visited and most of the floor areas were sticky, especially in around the slurpee/coffee area. This has been occurring for too long. The line to check out was backed up 8-10 people the 20 minutes I was there. Appears a newer cashier that was not ready for prime time was put in charge. Once another woman came in she immediately needed help with hitting a wrong button on the cash register. I come here a whole lot, so this is over several visits. Today's experience would have been a 1, but I'm keeping it an average. If I continue to see negative service and cleanliness issues I will update and downgrade once again. Come on pull it together, there are too many other convenience stores to choose from.

This is a 7/11 I frequent often. It's walking distance to my beach house and I love coffee and more…read morecoffee and then more! Today it was a soda stop for my wife who is home ill today. An update is overdue it's been a few years and the store has declined further. Let's get real on the exterior, it's painful to look at and needs immediate attention with paint. The 11 years I've been a customer I don't think a new coat had been applied. That alone is worth a 1 star deduction. The parking lot is also rough with holes. Today the soda machine was under repairs and cover off. A bad day considering I just came from McDonalds and they were down too! The manager said the ice was broken machine was broken, soda working. So he tossed a bag of ice out with gloves to get ice. The overall interior of the store is worn down from walls, to floor to shelves. It's in a sad state and needs an overhaul or better yet close it. The coffee passes, nothing special. I discussed the sad state of exterior paint with an employee and he said the landlord will not do anything, there hands are tied. I say you threaten to move when lease is up. They must have some leverage. I would never go out of my way for this store and if it was not so convenient I don't think others would either.

I really couldn't give a single care what the paint job or floors looks like, since it's a 7-11, not my residence.
