They have a wonderful selection. And they are the only place I know that correctly calls "sausage kolaches" as their real name--Klobásník--or Klobásníky (plural.) but don't expect those to still be there. On a weekday, they might still have these Czech treats until 3 pm, but on the weekends, they go fast! Always friendly staff and i just love looking through their home decor. They have the cutest little tchotchkes that are locally crafted and so wonderful for home, garden, or lawn. I have bought many a christmas and birthday gift on the way. Great metal art as well! The bathrooms are always clean and smell fine. I highly recommend stopping at least one time to see everything they have to offer. It's a true, "small Texas town" stop! Oh, and set the GPS! It's one of those "blink and you'll miss it" towns. One light and then it's gone.

This time instead of exploring their packaged snack products I thought about how much room we have left in our car and flying it home so I decided against it. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. Before leaving Doc had us take a selfie and a nice gentleman also took a couple for us too.

Our lunch consisted of brisket sandwich, chicken tenders & fries, and the three meat sandwich. I'm pretty sure their meat is not a true cut of brisket. Its consistency is like mush, and not like muscle fibers. There was nothing lean brisket vs fatty brisket. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

At first sight, it was so overwhelmingly large with three large covered gas pump areas. Upon going inside, it was definitely larger than any truck stop in California. I was told the first area to visit at Buc-ee's are the restrooms. Definitely well kept and much cleaner than any gas stations period that I have ever been to. I definitely did not go there just to check out the bathrooms, but for the many Buc-ee's logo'd souvenirs, snacks and especially barbecue seasonings and sauces. Their hot food area like hot Brisket sandwiches, sausage wrapped in a tortilla on a stick, brisket burritos, candied nuts, a wall of almost every fountain drink available, slushies, and so much more. I had to go through my list of items to pick up as well as items requested by friends and family. It felt like it was my first time at an amusement park or the toy store. I think we were short of two hours trying to make sure we got everything we came for. Just in case I missed anything or didn't get to try a sample of fudge, jerky, nuts, cookies, or whatever else, we had plans to go to San Antonio the following day and there would be a Buc-ee's on the way at New Braunfels. Sure enough, we made a quicker stop in the New Braunfels location just before San Antonio. It was a fun experience and definitely anytime I am passing by a Buc-ee's location, I am going in planned or not planned.

Additionally, I've observed a decline in the quality of some items they make in-store, like the BBQ sandwiches. Furthermore, this location isn't the easiest to exit if you're heading east on Highway 71. I hope they keep their prices competitive, but I'm seeing more competition around them, so I might start trying other places. Ultimately, price is the most important factor for me.

I was impressed by the modern interior, cleanliness, spacious aisles and the cold beer vault. The store basically sits in a residential neighborhood. If you're in the mood for some fried chicken or pizza they do have a kitchen which serves that up. They do have a small table inside and two more outside in case you'd like to dine there. Their gas prices were reasonable and they also sell propane tanks. This store is definitely worth stopping at and the photos below confirm it.

They have very clean bathrooms and a nice area with tables inside if you want to stay and eat. They have a decent selection of drinks and snacks, and lots of clothing and boots for sale. But this time, we decided instead of a quick sandwich we would go ahead and order barbecue plates. Their prices are fairly inexpensive for barbecue and I think that's because they are not out back cooking on the pit all day. But the brisket and chicken were fair, made much better by their sauce. I liked the potato salad and I loved the green beans. I think the brisket sandwich is better than the brisket plate, so that's what I will go back to.

Manager was rude saying I didn't know how to operate a fuel pump. accusing me of being on the phone. I was watching my gauge and watching the pump but I couldn't see the nozzle overflowing and I couldn't hear it due to the wind and it was very cold or I would have been standing by the pump. He couldn't comprehend English and I called 911 to figure out what to do about the 10gallons of fuel underneath my truck and trailer with horses. time had passed to where it was evaporating but should have had kitty litter thrown in it. legally his pump should turn off, legally he should have cleaned up the spill. I'm not certain he is legally in this country. I reported him to every Government department I could think of involving rules and regulations on fuel nozzles and spills. I will not be going back and until his pumps are fixed, it is dangerous for anyone to be near the fuel pumps.

This is highway robbery. This store is the most expensive store in all of LaGrange. There are also no prices marked on anything so you don't know what the cost is until you get to the counter.
