Yesterday, she went to the Starbucks inside Target in New Braunfels, and the lady told her she could choose ANY treat or a drink. She chose a treat, and it was hot, fresh, and perfect!
Well, this morning I went to the Starbucks in Seguin for mine. I told the lady I wanted a lemon loaf for my birthday freebie, and she looked at me and said, "That'll be $5, is that okay?" I looked confused and said, "No, because it's my birthday freebie." Then she tells me I can ONLY get a drink. My sister spoke up and said, "No, I got mine yesterday, and they told me I could choose a treat or a drink." This lady really said, "No, they basically just gave you a drink for free then. It has to be a drink."
Like, excuse me?! We were both confused and annoyed because why would one Starbucks let you choose a treat, but another one tell you that's not allowed? So I just ordered a drink and moved on. But of course, I looked it up afterward, and YES, the app literally says you can get a free treat OR a drink. So I wasn't making it up!
Honestly, it wasn't even just the fact that she wouldn't give me the treat. It was her whole attitude. She wasn't friendly, didn't smile, and just made the whole experience unnecessarily unpleasant. Definitely the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. At least my drink was good, so there's that.
