Made a quick stop to pick up a few items this past Friday. The place was in a bit of disarray, and they were out of a few goods I regularly get, like cold mocha beverages, which is unusual for this store, but it wasn't a problem cuz they had berkeley farms lowfat chocolate milk (it's rare to find brands other than nesquik, so this was a nice surprise), and I was also able to grab original slim jim beef jerky and a japanese egg salad sandwich which was simple but tasty. Went in for a slurpee after coming of a 14 hour shift. Saw that they had pina colada flavor so I got an extra large. It wasn't until I got to my car that I realized it was actually Coca-Cola. Went back in and explained to the clerk that the label didn't match the product in the machine. And he just kept repeating "no changes" and if I wanted a different flavor I would have to pay again. I go here all the time. Never found a reason to yelp them. Neither positive or negative. But screwing their customers with non-legally mandated mask-rules is unacceptable. They put the sign up, they take the sign down. Then, they put it up again. If you want my business, make up your mind, and fight for your own right to be open. This is one of the most hood locations that I have been to in a while. Every time I come here, there is always a group of people begging or hanging out in front of the store. I just want to be able to buy my Slurpee and scratchers in peace, not be harassed by a bunch of useless individuals that decrease property values. Don't come here. The workers are absolutely horrific. Obviously no one expects 5 Star restaurant service at a 7-Eleven, but you also wouldn't expect to be treated like trash. I come here regularly and see the same rude and careless employees each time. This time, I came and bought about $20 worth of snacks and 1 four loko, but the cashier refused to accept my license. I'm 22 years old with a perfectly valid California driver's license and yet he had the audacity to tell me off as if I was handing him a fake. I couldn't believe it. The customers behind me even took the time to examine my ID and found nothing wrong with it... all over a four loko... I have no words. Just don't waste your time or money by coming here. Given current circumstances I'm absolutely grossed out and very concerned. I'm not one to usually be over the top. But I went in tonight to get some goodies and watched the worker leave the counter to fill someone drinks. Great. He took a glove off. Handled everything with that gloveless hand and handed them to customer. I then watched him at least 4 times in 30 seconds use his fingers to wipe his runny nose. Then came to help me. Obviously I didn't hand him anything to touch of mine and I did not take a receipt for the same reason. I did pay with my card. GROSS!! Not only unsanitary but I don't know what you have! This is my go to 7-11 when I need the munches after a long day at work. For one, they have the best killer hot dog called the Spicy bite and let me tell you, its pretty awesome. You get the choice of adding cheese and chili. I recommend you do it because then you'll have the ultimate chili cheese dog in the world in my opinion. They have everything you need, beer, candy, ice cream bars, magazines, gift cards, soda. You name it, they have it. If you're lucky, you might meet one of the 49er players that stop by once and awhile during football season. I would say the only thing that freaks me out are some of the people in the area. I've came across a woman who wanted spare change as I was getting ready to drive off the parking lot. I witnessed two young black teenagers stealing items while the cashier wasn't looking and I was approached by two women who wanted to sell me cologne, which i believe might have been stolen. Is it me or is anything past the Montague and San Thomas overpass considered the ghetto? Besides the couple of cons i mentioned, this is still a good 7-11. read more

I always stop by here after having lunch at Cazadores or filling up the tank at Shell. There's just something about 7-Eleven that calls me inside. When my brothers and I were little and after we'd moved to a house far away from our respective schools, my mom would take us to 7-Eleven before the long drive home to pick out one juice and one snack each. (That wasn't this particular 7-Eleven...this one is kind of depressing, right by the tracks and all). But I've always had a fondness for all 7-Elevens. Ah the days of the simple Slurpee flavors. Everytime i pump gas at Shell, i always end up going to 7-11...either for ciggies or iced coffee or their dollar flautas. But why oh why do they always forget to refill their iced coffee machine?? it's so annoying! This seems to be a really scary spot to go to, after midnight. however, i've done it many times. in short shorts, or a skirt or nothing at all. just kidding. I feel weird reviewing a 7/11 but this 7/11 rules. Well more importantly their staff rules. I go there everyday with my co worker for coffee and this one employee in particular goes out of his way to greet us and asks about his day. It's refreshing to get that kind of customer service every morning.., so early in the morning. Another employee went out of her way to make sure I could buy toothpaste and a toothbrush on one unfortunate morning where I was too hung over to remember to brush my teeth before I left in the morning. This 7-11 location has consistently wowed me with their taquito preperation prowess. This review pretty much covers that aspect of this store. The Jalapeno Cream Cheese taquitos are always fresh & cooked to perfection, a lightly browned and mosit crust, with piping hot filling. This sets it apart from many other locations where they let the taquitos go stale, or overcook them so the crust turns into a rock like state. The area is a bit sketchy but not completley ghetto. It kind of exists under the shadow of the highly developed Rivermark complex, as well as the main througouhfares of Montague Expy and North First Street. Its a little bit off the beaten path for people working in North San Jose, but its one of the closest 7-11s, next to one of the closest gas stations in the area. read more

Okay so i came back here with friends to get some beer. I noticed the more you frequent this place the friendlier they get because you're like a returning customer ending in a profitable customer to them. Walked in and actually was greeted, thought to myself strange knowing that convenient stores are known for just coming in getting what you want/need and getting out. No milk for the coffee, only warm half and half cups. not super dirty not super clean either, sometimes sticky floor near slurpee machine. The new mountain dew flavors came out and they had a big display, but all the bottles were warm, none were in the fridge at all. Overall not great, if you need milk at midnite, it should be fine. I grew up in this neighborhood and I still remember my grandpa taking me down to this 7-11 and he'd get me a slurpy and a donut after finishing my chores! Its awesome that now I can take my sons to this same spot and its clean and kept up any time you head down there. Awesome place! read more

I have been here twice now and will not go back or recommend anyone going here. Last night around 10pm I came here to pick up some frozen food since grocery stores are closing early now. I was very unhappy to see that they are still doing self serve food and even though we are asked not to allow customers who are coughing inside businesses they have a friend there getting food hanging out with them for a minute, behind the register getting his own food (if he worked there he was not on shift, he paid for his food and left) and while putting condiments on his food he was COUGHING without covering his mouth all over the condiments. This is disgusting and irresponsible. This location is already a dirty one and normally I don't complain about anyone who is homeless we all need to be somewhere but last week I had a homeless man out there come up to my car yelling at me to come out and did not leave me alone and scared my 2 year old until I started honking my horn, then he went to harass a man and then my friend as she was coming out of the store. Clean up your store, follow current laws, don't let anyone cough ever on food and don't let people who are harassing others hang out front. read more

The slurpee and soda area is always a mess and the floor is sticky. And most of the times I go there the machines are always out of order or defrosting if not it just doesnt work. The cashiers/workers are real asses and most of the time they dont understand what your asking for. This is the worst place to get a slurpee during the summer. Dont bother pumping your gas at the Shell station next door... The prices are always at its high even when gas prices are going down. read more
