I have to say, I am liking this new style of 7-Elvens hitting the San Diego Market. One can call them a blend with a 7-Elven, a Taco Shop, an Espresso Bar, and a walk on cooler! You got to love that! I picked up several things from the location, not to mention visiting the Taco Shop for a Surf and Turf burrito which was quite good. I visited the walk in cooler and picked up some Modelo Especial. Always a good choice and they stock a lot of it here. The nacho dispenser was running full of nachos sauce, the single doughnut servings were individually wrapped for safety, and the hot dogs were rolling and ready for eating. The place was super clean and well kept. The employees were all friendly and helpful. I hope 7-Eleven opens more this blend types around town. read more

This is a 2 Part review (part 1) so let me tell you about the good things. And a little time-travel. I grew-up in a small town; Kennewick, WA. 7-11 were popping up everywhere. The 7-11 off of Edison Street became my local hangout. Would spend hours there, playing the pinball machine. It's where I got my comic books. Meet up with other kids in the neighborhood... as a preteen. Summers run in no shoes or shirt and grab a Slurpee on a hot summer day. Every visit to this location is like traveling back in time, nostalgic and delicious. Have to mention 2 chili cheese dogs, for a dollar. This location has a Niche... only place you can get 2 corndogs $3 in a 10 mile radius. The general mini mart, then and 7-11. damn, near 50 years of patronage. Also this location has mexi fast food. Until I die A 7-11 will always be my quick stop. Part 2, 0 Star rating. I had stopped in for corndogs one afternoon. same group of corndogs were setting in the warmer that were their at 4am. They were quite nasty looking. I asked for fresh cooked corndogs. Checking out, I told the clerk tell the manager those are nasty and a Food & Health violation, not safe for consumption after 8 hours. A couple weeks later the manager asked me to step outside, creating a confrontation by making false accusations. She totally picked a fight with me. I drove away. A few days later reported the incident to corporate offices of 7-11. About a month later received an email inviting me back to the store. The manager violated 7-11 policy by asking me outside and creating a conflict. She got herself terminated. After a couple weeks of going back into the store buying my usual items. June 26th the store owner told me. I'm not aloud in the store, using one of the accusation's the X-store manager used. Deliberately trying to piss me off. I call this the charlatan tactic. Every once in a while, life throws you a curve ball. Dealing with this curve ball... I've got to educate the store owner, and protect my reputation. in the next few days, he'll be receiving my Demand letter; requesting slander damages of $1500, and requesting $1500 for retaliation; empowering management to correct a public food and safety issue. So, I'm a bit of a 7-Eleven aficionado. I've been visiting 7-Eleven ever since I came to California all those years ago. They've got snacks, they've got medicine, they've got batteries and lil doo-dads and gizmos and anything you might need while out on a road trip, or going to work, or on your way home. They're handy. And cheap. When my friends told me about the ten thousand square foot 7-Eleven in San Diego, I knew a trip had to be arranged. Eventually I found myself out on an Adventure in San Diego. I pulled into this place, and was amazed at the sights, sounds, and smells of the place. Gone were the carafes and pots of coffee, replaced by high tech coffee machines with recipes for an assortment of coffee drinks. Touch screens and whooshing graphics ran across them all. The fountain machines and slurpee machines also had the touch screens and whooshing graphics. Everything whooshed and ads and I stood transfixed by them all. Taco Stand. "Wait....did you say taco stand??" "Yes, we have a taco stand!!" There's a taco stand. Laredo Taco is INSIDE the 7-Eleven. Let me repeat that. Laredo Taco is INSIDE the 7-Eleven. It's that big. So. After hyperventilating like a fat kid in a candy shop, I took my time and explored. Walk In Beer Cooler. Taco Stand. In addition to the hot food rolly-thingy, there was a secondary hot case with assorted hot things. Corn Dogs, tamales, empanadas, egg rolls and burritos. In addition to the cold sandwich and salad case, there was a secondary cold case with desserts of assorted sorts. I saw cheesecake and parfaits in there. Everything looked delicious! Holy Crap! Munchies. Cold Drinks. Soda, beer, water....pretty much anything that'd wet my whistle. Salty snacks, sweet snacks. Pretty much anything you'd want to munch on while on an adventure, or sitting in your motel room marveling at the supercool 7-Eleven you just visited. They even had Pokemon Cards! Dang! THEN I saw the bar style cold/nitro brew dispenser. FIVE flavors of each! I visited twice on my adventure. I tried a breakfast torta, and some breakfast tacos. Both were wonderful. I tried a chicken empanada. Wondrous. I tried Aztec Mocha coldbrew coffee. Magical. This place is a veritable mecca for anyone who enjoys the convenient and cheaper things in life. All of this majesty and wonder even comes with 7-Eleven convinces and prices. And you get points with the Application. Oh Thank Fuckin Heaven. read more

Worst service ever I came here 3 times already and its always a problem buying alcohol when i have my ID AND PASSPORT for proof of my age their stereotypes is over the roof! Especially Richard make sure you go around him, the worst sales associate doesnt care to accomodate customers, his priority is to disrespect and belittle. Service.. it's 2/24/24 the lady working right now at the 7eleven on othella and convoy at 7:20am refused to let me use the restroom after she lookede. Iomamd down.. she is an older Asian lady. Recently on another visit .. which I do often.. and spend minimum of 40 each visit. Well recently she told me to put my bag up front while I shopped.. I refused and said it's my purse ... Basically she was worried I was stealing.. which I. Never do... So rude then today.. would t let me use the restroom that I always get to use if need be with other clerks there. This 7-Eleven was remarkably clean for the area it's located in. Everything looked new and organized. The most impressive thing is the taco bar inside. You have not just convenient food, but fresh, convenient food too. I managed to get 2 breakfast tacos, a croissant, and a pastry for 10$. Lastly, the cashier here actually reminded me about rewards and asked me before ringing me up. This was incredibly helpful because I always forget about it, and if they ring you up first, you can't get the rewards. Will definitely come back here when I have to be up in this area at 7am. read more

I live very close by and have been waiting for this location to open up for a while. It's definitely super modern and nice on the inside with a more food and beverage selection and variation than the average 7-11. Everything is lit...literally every item...which actually makes everything look more appealing. Staff was super friendly on opening day and were quick to show off the ice cream dispenser and coffee machines. This is honestly a rad little store. I'm sure I'm way more excited about this than I should be but hey...it's quarantine. The only thing I'm skeptical about a Texas style taco shop that's on the inside. Looks like they use flour tortillas so that's just weird. BUT They did give the neighborhood some free taco coupons...and I am not one to deny a free taco. This complaint is due to this store never having cash on hand to pay out winnings. If you're going to sell lottery tickets, I don't understand how you can't have a float to pay out. I was trying to cash a $30 winning and was told to either cash out at another store or buy more lottery tickets. This is inexcusable. Either run a proper lottery business or stop selling. It's that simple. If this doesn't get fixed, I will no longer patronize this store despite it being a block from where I live. They've lost my trust and business if they can't fix this. read more

Ok so the machines & style of this test store are pretty cool, it's clean, but it suffers from the staff being too distracted with all of their non-customer related tasks to get you in & out fast. It doesn't matter how cool or clear your 711 is if it takes me 15min to get a soda. read more

I live close by and have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this new concept 7-11. While out on my quarantine shopping spree today, I saw that it was open, so I popped in to check it out. All the crew were pleasant, eager and helpful as I toured the place. I noticed that some were wearing masks that only covered their mouths and not their noses. While there, I figured I'd try the tacos. I ordered a carne asada taco, a barbacoa taco, and a fish taco. $16 for the three tacos. They make the tortillas fresh and only had enough ready -- as in one -- to make the carne asda asada taco. So they did, and packed it up to dry out as I waited for fresh tortillas for the other two tacos. As I waited and waited, I noticed that one of the young ladies who assembled the tacos had a mask that exposed her nose, which she proceeded to scratch with her gloved hand, mid-assembly. I mentioned it to a nearby employee who said he was the manager. He seemed in disbelief and repeated, " She scratched her nose!?" Then walked in the back room. A minute or so later he came out with another guy who appeared to be a higher-up and they both stepped outside to chat. Taco assembly continued uninterrupted. I finally got mine and stepped out.The manager and other guy thanked me for coming in and waved me off. More like blew me off. How were the tacos you ask? They were exactly like you'd expect a 7-11 taco to be. All texture and no taste. After a bite of each they landed in my compost heap. I'm always glad to try some place new, but this is one I won't try again. read more

What a waste of my money!! The tacos we're gross, over priced, fresh tortillas you say. No more like pita bread. I had a hard torilla and my other was not even cooked in the middle.
